This Papa John’s location seems to consistently struggle with keeping their orders straight. More than once we’ve made the mistake of ordering delivery from them, both online and over the phone, and an hour later we’re calling asking where our pizza is. They always say it’s already been delivered, as if we’d be calling looking for it if we had the pizza in front of us. They always say they’ll send us another, in an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour, like we haven’t waited long enough already for pizza we’ve already paid for. No compensation is offered for undelivered pizza, no delivery time is shortened for replacement pizza. They’ll give it to you in 15 minutes if you go pick it up yourself, though. We’ll be avoiding Papa John’s from now on.

I hate writing bad reviews, but this is a really bad case that I have to tell people about. 3 people in my family of 7 had a pizza from this location.(It was late and thank God the little ones were sleeping) Only those 3 of the 7 people got incredibly sick that same night. It didn’t take long for it to kick in. Diarreah, throwing up violently, with insanely painful stomach cramps. So we knew it wasn’t a virus because no one else in the family got it. This is extremely scary because it my little toddler would have had a slice of pizza and gotten this sick, who knows how traumatic this could have been… Papa Johns, PLEASE re assess your clean standards with employees. This was a huge set back for my family and I pray that it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

I ordered a delivery a few nights ago. I tried an online cupon I found for half off any pizza. I took this as a good opportunity to try their new meat pizza special thing, the unimpressive pizza isn’t worth memory space. It did arrive timely, and I chose to reward the driver with an extra tip. I also ordered two 10″ cheese stick sides. They were so disappointing. Half of each side order didn’t have ANY cheese. That’s right… something they advertise as containing cheese as a main ingredient, somehow got left out halfway through the production process, not once but twice. I chewed on the bread side for about 2 seconds before I could not finish it. My kids wouldn’t eat it either, and they are not yet old enough to articulate distaste. Never again papa johns will you fool me into trying anything.

Like Mike O’s comment, I agree the management here sucks. They could care less if you as the customer are happy or not, as long as they have your money. My daughter ordered a surprise pizza for us both a couple months ago in August and it was delivered to us at the hotel we were staying at, about 11:30−12amish. My daughter took the pizza and when we were sitting down about to enjoy it while watching a movie, we noticed it was VERYDOUGHY. So we immediately called and told them what happened. The person on the other end apologized and offered to put our name down to be sent out a free pizza certificate. Ok, we waited patiently for it to come in the mail… Still waited… Now it wasthe end of October and still nothing. I called to see where it was, the manager had to wait for the general manager to see what to do but said our free coupon was in the pile of things to mail but also thought that was weird as the general manager usually sends them out every two weeks. I called back an hour later when I’m told the GM should be there and explained everything again and all he can do is be Cocky and put the blame on my daughter for not only the time difference in resolving this but saying«it’s impossible for it to be raw» and just continued to talk over me on the phone. To me the pizza was very doughy and for another word, yes… It was raw. Pizza should never be like that. The GM then said he wanted to take care of us and offer us a 50% off another pizza. WOW, if you only understood customer service. The pizza we had was never eaten as it was RAW, and I was told one thing by one manager but given another by a GM who wasn’t obviously trained… A discount on your mistake and not so much as an «I’m sorry». SAVEYOURSELFHEADACHEANDDON’T SPENDYOURMONEYHERE. Take your business to a mom and pop place, you’ll get more for your money and you’ll be happier with the outcome.

Pizza is consistent. That’s a good thing. Present management are total jerks. That’s a bad thing. This place is no Rusted Sun but I live in Sandy and sometimes time and an empty stomach matters more than anything else. Chain pizza is chain pizza. Papa John was really put out about the Affordable Care Act and threatened to increase prices if it passed. I don’t know whether or not that happened but I think it’s a really poor decision to bring politics into your business. I think it’s a worse decision to continue employment for managers that hang up after placing an order without as much as a «thank you» or a «goodbye» or give a customer a great big«F U» attitude when carrying out. I won’t be back. I doubt they’ll notice. UPDATE: Left a comment on the corporate web site. Corporate contacted the district guy. He called. Apologized. Listened. Seemed to care. Told me to call again if I ever experienced anything again like what I did last Friday. Asked what he could do to make it right. I didn’t want anything more than what I got — someone that counts to hear me out. There are great mom and pops businesses failing all over the place who do everything they can to succeed. Then there are chains like this that have droves of customers and employees that act like they’re doing you a favor by taking your money. Kills me! Perhaps if the employees were paid more they would care more? Dunno. Not my job to figure out. I can say that if an employee doesn’t feel like they’re being paid fairly for their contribution, they should find a new job.

I love pizza. I’m pretty sure I always will. Poppa Johns isn’t my favorite, but hey… It’s pizza and you can’t really go wrong. It was a Sunday night, the wife and I didn’t feel like cooking, so we took advantage of their family special for 2 large pizzas. We were told the estimated delivery time was 50 – 60 minutes. The delivery guy showed up 20 minutes after I called. Some might think, wow, that’s great service! I on the other hand was somewhat disappointed. We had planned the 50 – 60 delivery time into our plans and our guests. So now the pizza is early and will sit in the oven for another 30 minutes until we are ready to eat. The fast delivery time also has me skeptical of how fresh the pizzas were or if they were made to order. Cheese pizza, was cheese pizza. The BBQ chicken pizza, was pretty much the cheese pizza with about 8 little pieces of chicken and BBQ sauce on it. Disappointing. I appreciate fast service, but in this particular instance, it would have been better to have a more accurate eta, to help plan accordingly.

Called to make an order for a delivery, and after the order was placed we were informed via the email confirmation that it would take 2 hours to receive our pizza! Two hours… I know how long a pizza takes to make and this was just outrageous. We called to ask what this was about because we thought it was a glitch, nope, it was real. We ordered at noon, and didn’t get our pizza until shortly after 2pm. You can’t say the pizza wasn’t good, it was. Just disappointed in the time it took to get our food. And wish we would have been told before we ordered our food. I would have never placed the order in the first place.

I am not one to review a pizza chain. After all if I really want good pizza, papa johns isnt my go to. However, every now and again I want a large, cheap pizza and eat it until I hate myself. This pizza was perfect. Baked well done like I ordered it, no other PJs chain gets this right. It was as tasty as a PJs pizza could be. What more could I ask for?

This is as good as chain pizza in Utah gets. Papa John’s has been consistently scrumptious for as long as I can recall. I really have to hand it to *Papa* John Schnatter — he created something that I would have initially bet good money against… fresh, great-tasting pizza mass produced in over 3,500 retail outlets nationwide. This location is comparable to most other PJ’s outlets. This is a pick-up/delivery location only, so there’s no eating in. They’re not bad with delivery, but I prefer take-out. I fancy being on-site in the event of any potential order gaffes. I find it easier than the prospect of a helpless driver with pie in hand. They’re an industrious bunch, who typically don’t have time for efforted friendly service. There’s often a short pickup line, especially on the weekend, so their goal is IN and OUT. No nonsense. I use their handy-dandy website ordering system, and have not had a single problem. Easy breezy. Their original hand-tossed crust is soft and chewy, and perfectly crispy and golden brown. It’s my favorite pizza crust ever. There’s almost nothing finer in the wide world of pizza than dipping Papa John’s crust into their disgracefully divine Garlic Butter sauce. This liquid gold is an artery-clogging endowment from Baby Jesus himself. It’s the part I look forward to the most from my Papa John’s crusty box-o-rapture. Regarding toppings, PJ’s has a pretty standard set: the meats, the veggies, and even a few cheese choices. The meats are flavorful, cooked well, and never greasy; the veggies are all so fresh — I love crunching down on a juicy green pepper and being able to taste that it’s a green pepper and not a spongy, tasteless worm. Same goes for all other veggies. Their red sauce is slightly more acidic than other chain pizza places. Hubby gets heartburn from PJ’s every time. For those prone to tomato sensitivity, take your Prevacid. Or order their tasty Alfredo sauce instead. For those who prefer their pizza combos pre-thought-out, PJ’s offers some really good ones. My favorites are the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken, the Tuscan Six Cheese, and the Garden Fresh. Hubby loves their«especially for men» combos, The Works, Sausage and Peppers, and Spicy Italian. I’ve never tried their chicken wings — nor would I, chances are. I prefer to stick with the themed specialty of the house when there is one. I have no special fondness for their breadsticks, and frankly don’t see the need. The crust on the pizza is ample and delicious. Further bread is overkill, IMO. Papa John’s, if I may — indulge me one request — please please pleeeeease be the first chain pizza to offer a specialty Margarita combination using fresh mozz, fresh basil, and fresh tomatoes. If anyone in the fast-pizza realm can do it, you can… you would then be close to perfect.
