The Fox Cut

I love this place. So nice and friendly. Special shout out to Heather — who makes me feel beautiful whenever she picks a color, cut or style. She’s very accommodating with the schedule too (which certainly makes life easier).

I moved to Dracut from Cambridge about a year ago and was trying to find a good salon. The Fox Cut exceeded all of my expectations! Stacey gave me a GREAT haircut on the first visit so I had to come back and see what she could do with some highlights! She is AMAZING! The highlights also came about beautiful. I highly recommend Stacey for all of your hair needs.
On another note, the atmosphere is nice and the prices beat Cambridge/​Boston by a long shot.

Have you seen Aubrey’s hair? I have. It’s awesome. So after being back at my parents I said farewell to my elders after about an hour post arriving and went to see Heather to fix the hot mess a badger had apparently been nesting for the past year or so. Awesome cut, professional, fast and I walked out without even being judged for asking her to cut my hair like Ashley Benson’s (You’re hair is no longer filled with lies and deceit. –A). In addition it didn’t break the bank, which made this grad student very very happy.

My hairdresser cut & colored my hair on June 7. I was not happy with the cut at all & my grandon was getting married on June 16. I mentioned that I was not happy with the cut to my daughter & asked about her hairdresser. My daughter loves her hairdresser & her hair always looks great when she leaves there. She called Heather & setup an appointment for me two days before the wedding. I love the cut Heather gave me & she told me what to do as she was styling my hair. I received many compliments at the wedding on my haircut & I am still receiving them. Thank you, Heather you made my day ! I am looking forward to having all my hair needs done by Heather in the future. Heather has a great personality & I felt like I had know her for a long time. She even told me how to make a quick delicious chicken pot pie. She is a doll!

I’ve been seeing Heather at the Fox Cut for all my hair needs for the past several years, and she does really great work. She always manages to make me look fabulous (whether I know what cut I want or not). I’ve had her style my hair for special occasions as well, and have been more than happy with the results every time. She also talks me through the process as she styles my hair (makes sure I know the right products to use, etc). I’d recommend her to anyone!

She is wonderfully sociable, and even though she is younger than my own kids, we always have something to talk about while she foils and highlights and cuts and shapes my do.
She has done a couple of updos for me and boy, does that make her happy!
As long as I have a pretty good idea of what I want in terms of color or length taken off, she’s good. I’ve never had that awful surprise moment of «oh my god, that trim just took 4 inches off the ends» so that is nice.
Pricing is competitive.
I think they also do waxing and nails and stuff, but have not made use of those services.

At one of my recent visits Stacey spoke to me about the new Keratin treatment Fox Cut is offering. Since my hair is naturally curly/​wavy and quite frizzy, she thought I’d be an ideal candidate. She explained the whole process to me, what the end result would be, and I booked an appointment. Then I went online and found some reviews at both ends of the spectrum from people who absolutely love the result to those who are crying over going bald. I called Stacey to see what product they use and to have several other questions answered. She was able to answer my questions. On the day I arrived for my appointment another woman who had the treatment done a few days before showed up and her hair looked good, she was so pleased with the result.
The process itself is quite tedious; it took about 3 hours after the shampoo to apply the keratin to small strips of hair, massage it in, then a blow-​out and then another long process of flat ironing the hair bit by bit.
I’ve read some reviews about the treatment being very strong smelling and gunky; I did not have that reaction to it. (She used the Brazilian product.) My hair was not totally greasy or sticky, it just seemed like I had not rinsed out well enough. No tucking behind the ears or tying my hair back, and no shampooing for 48 hours.
It is now two weeks since I had it done, and my hair is really smooth and shiny and much straighter.
I received a bottle of conditioner and shampoo free, and the treatment cost $ 200. I am a satisfied customer and will definitely have this done again before the humid days of summer.
