This is a «must try». Their food is not only delicious but good luck finishing it too. But whether you take most of your dinner home, make sure to take home some chocolate canolli. If you’re looking for some great Italian, you won’t be sorry… The staff is friendly too.

Great little Italian place and one of the best restaurants in town. The waitstaff is super friendly and accommodating. My favorite is the linguini, but I’ve really enjoyed every dish I’ve tried. The food is also pretty affordable. The one downside is that the waitstaff is relatively slow and will leave you waiting for a while. In my opinion, the wait is absolutely worth it, but it’s not the best place to go if you’re in a rush.

Let me start by saying when we were greeted by the hostess all she did was yawn as she tried to see where she was going to seat us. That’s OK so once we were seated we sat for 15 minutes and no one even acknowledged that we were there. So I said to one of the waitresses excuse me she acted like we were bothering her and she said let me see who is covering your table. So we got up and proceeded to leave a waitress was heading our way to late!!! All set with this place. And the kicker is they weren’t that busy.

Good food and at good price. Come here frequently and typically order the chicken Parm plate, which has yet to disappoint. Portions are really big so you will never leave hungry.

Dracuts hidden gem! Foods amazing at a great price! However the wait staff over the years has gone down hill luckily the food is so good I look past that!

Ordered spaghetti with meatballs. Meatballs seemed like the kind you find in the grocers freezer. If you are looking for a basic and quick meal by all means this is the place.

Great good. Large portions. I’ve gone here twice and enjoyed it both times. The wait staff is pleasant and super nice! I would definitely go again.

Excellent meal tonight. If you are worried about carbs, then I would strongly recommend the chicken broccoli sauté over broccoli– so good. Having the same meal again tonight — so good

Ordered take away the other night. Got four dinners of chicken parm and lasagna It came with a fresh roll and the portions were huge. Just enough for everyone to be full I did not dine in, however, If the take away is good, I certainly will come back again. Food is fresh and the chicken parm was one of the best I have ever eaten. I am hoping my next review for dine in will be the same.

Mama’s is a great place to go for a dinner date — the atmosphere is lovely with a homey feel to it, great place for conversation and they have a great menu. Wine list isn’t extensive but it is adequate. They offer a nice selection of specialty martinis. I personally recommend the antipasto — it is delicious! Fresh greens, fresh meats and cheese — the perfect meal. I was there last week and had the Alforno Sampler — lasagna, chicken parm and meatballs. This dish is perfect if you don’t know what you want. I felt like having pasta but really like their Chicken parm. The serving size is more than adequate. I took the meatballs and chicken parm home for another couple of meals. I got a side salad(a la carte — it didn’t come with the meal) and the bread they serve(I would bet money its from Piantedosi’s Bakery in Malden) there was no way I was going to finish it. I’m not sure the meatballs though are home made. I’m eating them now for a small dinner with some salad and they just don’t taste like«My» Momma’s meatballs. Its tough when you’re Italian and used to home made Italian meals to eat at a place like Mama’s in Dracut but they do a good job — my lasagna was excellent!

I recently had dinner at Mama’s Italian Restaurant in Dracut. After shopping in the area, I stopped in at Mama’s on a late Saturday evening. The place was not very busy and I was promptly seated in the dining room. The very casual dining room has rows of booths(lime green & red colors) and black & white checkerboard floors. For dinner, I ordered the Alforno Sampler($ 12.99) and added a Garden Salad($ 2.99). The Garden Salad was entrée size which had fresh iceberg lettuce, red cabbage, shredded carrots, red onions, vine ripe tomatoes, and crispy croutons(buttery flavor), thick bleu cheese dressing on the side. The soft white bread roll was okay. The Alforno Sampler was a good portion of cheese lasagna, 2 big soft meatballs, and chicken parmesan(deep fried cutlet) covered with lots of thick marinara sauce and melted cheese. The food was served very hot. The sauce had a slightly sweet flavor. I decided to get half of my dinner packed up to go and passed on the offer for dessert. Overall, the food here tasted pretty decent and the service here was adequate. I will note that during dinner, there was a small spider hanging off the ceiling and going up and down over my table.

My family and I are huge fans of Mama’s. My parents go at least twice a month. The food is almost always cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful. The specials are typically very creative and a welcomed distraction from ordering the«usual». I highly recommend the chicken and broccoli sauté, pizza, chicken parmesan sub, and lasagna. I also have recently been a fan of the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp on it. It is hit or miss with the staff, but great consistency with the tasty food.

Friendly service! We had the appetizer sampler, it came out hot and fresh! Our salads were okay. I had shrimp fettuccine alfredo, my husband had the chicken parm… Both were big portions and delicious. Our waitress was amazing! We would come back.

Been to this place for dinner a few times. Food was delicious, service was great! Very friendly! One of the best spaghetti with meat sauce I’ve had at a restaurant. Sauce is good, pasta cooked to perfection, huge portion. Really good bang for the buck! Would I go back? Absolutely!!!

Now, I’ve tried MAMA’S 4 times & officially. unimpressed. Their broasted chicken. .that was pretty good, I would go back for that. Everything else was subpar. Italian sausage tasted like it was boiled and microwaved. yuck. Eggplant parm was so thin(I’m eating left overs as I write.) all you can taste is the bread crumbs. DEFINITELY not MY mama’s! Chicken parm. I think if I’d gotten a frozen dinner at market Basket it would be equivalent. Just being honest. . Oh and one more thing, the women at the front counter not very friendly to boot. Not At all!

I have always wondered why anybody on this planet eats here. Just awful. Their sausage or meatballs — gross. The worst of all is their chicken broccoli ziti, it tastes like sugar. It’s the worst! Sorry, I know it’s a Dracut landmark but I just don’t see it.

Mama’s is located on Lakeview Ave in Dracut– not too far from the Lowell/Dracut line. It’s also directly across the street from Frosty Boy. The restaurant shares its parking lot with a bank and a number of small businesses. As such, it’s NEVER hard finding parking! I’ll preface this review saying that I’ve ordered and eaten from Mama’s for what feels like over 20 years(although I’m positive it’s been over 15 at LEAST). I ALWAYS order the chicken and broccoli sautee(with extra sauce for an extra $ 3! a rip off, but whatevs)… because that’s just what you do. If you’re from this part of town, you understand what I mean. With that said, I’ve tried many different things off their menu including chicken parm(it’s good), eggplant parm(decent, but compared to what’s in the area, I’ve had better), pizza(I like that it’s crusty and not too doughy), etc. For the most part, the portions are GINORMOUS and you seriously get what you pay for. A few nights ago, my brother, H and I dined in for the first time in over ten years. It has not changed one bit. Everything looks exactly the same– dated, old-fashioned, dusty… but clean. It was a gloomy Friday night and the three of us didn’t think the restaurant would be that busy. Boy were we wrong. The place, although a plethora of available tables(but maybe short on waitstaff?) could be seen, we still had a 10 – 15 minute wait. Whilst waiting closer to the 15 – 20 minute end, there were a number of large parties coming in waiting to be seated(the hostess told them 15 – 20 minutes, but I honestly doubt they were waiting for that short a time…) — Thank God my brother, H and I came in when we did. We were served by a woman who seriously knew her stuff. She knew the menu like the back of her hand and could easily recite anything off it. She must’ve been there for a loooong time! Regardless, she was wicked nice– especially considering we were one of six tables she was serving. She quickly brought out our drinks(two waters and a soda) and we quickly placed our orders– You don’t mess with a hungry preggo monster. I ordered the chicken & broccoli sautee, H ordered the Mama’s Special Pizza and my brother ordered the seasonal lobster alfredo. It took longer than anticipated to receive our food… My order and H’s order both came out lukewarm, but my brother’s alfredo was piping hot. My meal was the same as it always is– really good! H’s pizza and my brother’s alfredo left more to be desired. Ehh. Don’t come here looking for delicious, gourmet, five star food… but if you’re looking for decent, tasty«Italian» food with gigantic portions, do stop by!

Been coming here all my life. It’s changed over that time but still maintains that solid italian base of food… Lasagna, spaghetti & meatballs, and Chicken parm. They do these dishes just right. If you cater, it’s almost as good as being there in the restaurant except you get to control the portion yourself.
