There have been numerous property management companies over the years. The current company has a pair of shrews in the office. They are rude and treat residents as if they are subservients. As residents, we have been told not to talk about lot rent. They bring in new residents at a lower rate and increase it quickly. In a little over 5 years it went from $ 423 to the current lot rent of $ 621 a month. There is very little included. It includes water, trash and snow removal. The water is brought in year round, via truck, as the wells are unable to keep up with the demand. Part of the reason the well or wells are unable to keep up, is because of the old pipes that are constantly leaking. Not to mention, the seasonal migrant workers that call Valley View home in the warm months. With the leaks and shut downs of the water supply, we have had many boil before consumption warnings.
Since leaving, I have found that there are other communities that offer much more for much less. A pool, playground and clubhouse can be found for less than what Valley View charges. Unless, you find value in being treated like a subhuman.
