Bam!!! Congrats my little market friend, you have just received your first 5 star review. I understand the beef from other individuals, the costs must be higher since it is a small store. But the truth is, I’ve never bought any groceries from here.
So you may ask yourself…“Self, why in God’s name is he writing a review and a 5 star at that?!?“
My answer — the BBQ cooked in front of the store and sold by the market. Oh my gosh. Ribs (spare, beef, baby back), whole chicken, tri tip, grilled corn, cactus, grilled potatoes, yams, etc. All this at a very reasonable price. Want it just seasoned or washed down in BBQ? You’re choice.
I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. All very delicious for the price. This truly is a hidden gem.
So come one and come all. Forget the groceries, load up on BBQ.

Worst service ever, prices are almost double of bigger stores… save your money and go to ralphs or food 4 less

Prices were a little on the high side, and getting checked out took a little while since they only have on cashier. Aside from that this seemed like a nice place to pick up some last minute groceries that you might have forgotten to get at your normal place!

Been shopping there over 16 years, the new cashiers are rude, and will ignore you unless you speak spanish, then if you speak spanish they are very friendly and talkative, its now a test every time I go to see if I can get a nice word out of them. Sorry I am not a border brother

Small store with a lot of variety. Though it is slightly pricey than larger stores it is understandable. The items are quality and it is great for quick pickups.

I shop at Downey Supermarket on a weekly basis for their bulk food. They have the lowest prices around and a great variety of all my favorite snacks! They also have weekly sales on select items, something I like to keep my eye open for!
Service is great — the cashiers are also really friendly and overall seem to love working there

This small shop has small things you can need for your carne asada, drinks and such. What brings me here is the weekends! They have a huge bbq out on weekends when it does not rain. Everything is cooked out and sold by pound. Fresh, Healthy and mmm good! Oh and cheap! They carry chicken sold by ½ or or whole $ 7, brisket $ 7lb., ribs $ 6lb., and links $ 1 ea… ALL good! I bring it home, make a side to have with it or make sub and magic. easy healthy lunch/​dinner. I do believe they have a min. $ 10 with credit card.
