Dermatology Associates of Downey

I was referred here by my primary physician. I was supposed to doctor Navid but the gal on the phone informed me I would need to see a P. A (physician’s assistant) prior to booking an appointment with the doctor.
I arrived to my appointment, filled out all the first timer paperwork and waited 10 minutes past my appointment time before I was escorted into the examine room. After I got into the exam room, I waited another 20mins before I was seen By P.A. Tamara (Tammy). She was very friendly and provided good listening to my laundry list of skin issues. No physical contact was made during the 10 min visit and a prescription of cream was received. She also referred me to an Allergist to see what the root cause is. She told me she would have the girls up front schedule the referral with my insurance and all I have to do is wait for the auth to come in the mail.
Two weeks passed by and no authorization received in the mail. I called to follow up and the gal on the phone she was barely just working on it today and to keep an eye out for the next week or so.
I honestly was expecting more from my $ 50 dollar visit or at least better follow up. I will be looking for another dermatologist.
