Calmet is the worst. I rented a trash bin (low boy) for cement. They give you a specific size to fill. Oddly enough, after you fill it to recommended height, they tell you it weighs too much and have to pay again for difference. It’s a scam. Stay away from them.

Seriously, these guys are lifesavers. Being a new resident of Downey, we inherited the old tenants trash. We’re talking serious trash in the backyard. Couch, old mattress, wood cutting tables, metal bins, bag of dog food, old bed covers. You name it, we inherited it. Not to mention they lost or stole the city trash bin. I end up learning the hard way. I placed several bags of trash inside of the green city trash bin. Later in the evening, the trash is still there at the curb. There’s a notice stating that the green bins are for landscaping waste.
A couple days later my girl hears the trash truck coming. I run out in my pj’s and slippers. I walk up to the driver and ask for a «favor.» Slip him a $ 20 spot. BINGO. He literally takes about fifteen bags of trash that we had packed from the old tenants. Now, we’ve scheduled some bulk trash pick up. Our trash truck driver is the shiat!
