For a frequent boba drinker it’s awesome to have one in Downey, close to home. However, For whatever reason I get such a turn off when places that sale one type of something and then they try to sell another type of something. It’s a boba place with ice cream and dessert, the tamale sign makes me so annoyed. Like why are you doing that? Is the boba not that good that your resorting to sell tamales in a dessert place? And really who really says«hey some boba and tamales sound soo good right now» how many do you really sell? Haha, I really dont get it. Anyways, the coconut milk tea is on point.

This boba place is only 4 minutes away from my school. They just added more desserts and drinks to the menu, and there will be more coming soon. I like their boba, so soft and chewy. It wasn’t that busy a few months ago, but it’s pretty busy now, especially from around 2 to 5 pm. Cute place, cute sitting area, drinks are also good. if you live around this area, should give Boba Indeed a try, I’m sure you will like it.

Two friends and I were looking for a boba spot in Lynwood. Drove to Downey. Didn’t find what we were looking for at the first stop. Then, found this place on Unilocal. We liked the photos and reviews so we made the trip south from where we were. At first, we almost missed it because the Donut Shop sign is still up. BUT we saw the sandwich board and came inside. First, the menu is great! Super impressed. Second, the prices aren’t bad. Third, we didn’t expect to get the large sizes and they are tubs. Delicious, but huge. Their original Milk Tea is really good. Their Horchata drink was tasty. And we tried their Avocado Love Affair… interesting but yummy.

Been wanting to check out this place since it’s right by where I work. The workers are friendly and they have a nice variety on their menu. Been to many boba places in the Artesia/Cerritos area. The cup sizes are big like Class 302& Half & Half in the 626. that I like! I also love how drinks comes w 1FREE topping(like boba, egg pudding, grass jelly etc). Most boba places always charge extra 50 cents if you want a topping. Con: They have no bathroom, you must go to McDonalds if you need to. Tried the Vanilla Oreo frap and thought it was pretty ok. It wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet, it tasted a bit watered down. I was hoping to taste more Oreo and Vanilla flavor. Will be back to try more of their drinks!

First time at Boba Indeed. We had the one story waffle with chocolate ice-cream and chocolate sauce. As far as that it was really tasty, the waffle was made perfectly and the fruit was fresh. My boyfriend had the horchata frappé with boba… it was sooo good! Better than Tierra Mia and it had boba. I had the flavored peach tea with boba and rainbow jelly, also amazing. Their boba is tiny compared to other boba places but it was surprisingly better than having huge chewy bobas. Will definitely be back!

Heard about this new and local boba spot, so decided to give it a try. Wow, the drinks here were amazing! Décor: the inside of the boba place has a nice, modern chic look to it. There is sufficient amount of tables and chairs if you do decide to enjoy your drink there. The outside of the place still has the donut sign up which confused me at first, but I’ve read that they are working on getting the license to remove it. That will definitely help out this establishment and garner the attention it needs. Service: the staff here is pretty friendly and knowledgeable, which is great when trying to decide on what drink to order. Usually doesn’t take long for your drinks to be made either. Parking: there is parking on the side of the location, so no hassle there. Drinks: I’ve tried multiple drinks here and liked all of them! My favorite one as of this moment is the vanilla oreo; it’s not too slushy, actual bits and pieces of oreo, and the not too sweet. The boba here is perfect; not too soft, not too hard. It has a perfect texture and doesn’t get hard so easily. I would definitely like to come back and explore more of their options. Personal recommendations: Vanilla Oreo, Chocolate Malt, and Thai Tea!

The Employees are super nice! They create such a wonderful atmosphere that I never feel like me and my friends are imposing when we take a moment to catch up and chat~~ Their drinks are really well priced considering the amount of add on’s I got and the size! ANDTHEIRWAFFLES!!! YYUUUUUMMMM Strawberries were so fresh and the Matcha ice cream was some of the best I ever tasted!!! The size can easily be shared with a group *we had 3 satisfied girls* Will definitely return when I’m in the area!

I think this might be my new favorite boba place to go to and the sign on the floor as you walk up top order says it all«heaven for boba addicts» They have so many options besides slush and milk teas. I most definitely keep coming back to this place even if it’s a little of a drive.

I have to agree with anyone who gives this place less then a star. I was browsing around Unilocal and found this place to be new… im always down to try a new boba spot and was completely disappointed. BobaLoca is just the opposite ways from this spot and unfortunately you’re better off spending it there or drive a bit further to Cerritos then this place. BLAH. #NotEvenOk… Weither the milk tea is powdered or real tea, it tasted beyond the blandest milk tea i’ve ever had. If i had to compare it, I’d say its equivalent to a bad milk tea from a sketchy chinese restaurant that serves stale boba. Let me make this clear… i didnt order boba but given how unstandardize their milk tea taste, NOBOBA. no matter how good it may be… can change this negative star to even a 1 star. Don’t waste your money where the drink is not even up to standards.

New year, new boba place to explore. Located on the corner of Paramount and orange, next door to McDonald’s. It took over the old Angel’s Donut location. The Sign is still out as well. The inside is newly remodeled to a nice shabby chic décor with a few tables as well as bar seating. There’s out door seating as well so plenty of room to hang out. The service was OK. They’ve just opened so their always smile at customer habit have not kicked in yet. They have an awesome amount if drinks to choose from. From Milk teas, to slushes to lemonades. Their lychee lemonades were thee best. My sister loved her red bean matchata. I also had their watermelon Slush adding in lychee popping boba as well as lychee jelly uuuuhhhhhmazeBALLZ! My sister got passion fruit slushy with apple jelly or vice versa. Whatever it was it was bombdigity! Lavender Milk Tea and lavender le. onade on point! Yasss !! There’s so many different options the gives my mouth a burst full of flavours! With each drink you have the option of adding on regular boba, flavored popping bobas or flavored jelly for a small charge. Their pricing is great! And they come in the cutest short chubby cups with room to puncture 2 boba straws for those feeling mushy. LoL. They have soooo many choices its hard to decide but since it’s only a 5 min drive away I will definitely be back to try them all! If you love lychee, lavender, boba, all three or just want a yummy drink I definitely recommend you stopping on by(^_^)

5 stars for the drinks and waffle stories, but 1 star for the new cashier they hired(larger woman working the evening shift). First of all she doesn’t smile. Second we asked for a receipt and the printer wasn’t plugged in and she claimed they were trying to save paper. What? By law you have to provide the customer with a receipt. Management, I feel like you’re doing great. Your business is awesome. But I wouldn’t hire someone like that. Low energy, no appeal to the customers, and very direct(lack of people skills). I’m a regular customer and was so happy when I found your shop. But every time I see this person at the register I know it won’t be a pleasant experience. Please find a way to help her be more friendly/helpful with your customers.

Gotta say this place makes pretty good drinks. I’m a hardcore boba drinker that probably have tried out enough boba joints to write a review. I love avocado. Who doesn’t love avocado! Avocado smoothie for life. It’s good for your skin. And boba indeed is the only place that makes the smoothie with condensed milk but doesn’t turn out too chunky, too sweet, or too thick to drink. I’m so glad that they don’t use the condensed milk straight out of the can but actually mix it up so it doesn’t taste too sweet. In order word, the avocado love affair is not too sweet, not too thick, not too watery and icy, not too chunky to drink. Perfecto!!! It is now my love affair when I visit Downey

I was looking forward to trying this place since I live so close by, but that ended right away. HUGEDISAPPOINTMENT, I shared a large thai tea boba with my boyfriend… he didn’t like it either. The boba was extremely hard & the thai tea was just gross. Almost just as bad as boba loca! I think we’ll continue driving to Cerritos for some good boba… All other reviews seem to be pretty good. so maybe I should wait & give it another try. Guess they could’ve been having a bad night? For now I’ll leave it at 2 stars for the cute décor

Boba Indeed is still in a soft opening stage as of 12÷10÷15. SIGNOUTFRONT As of 12÷3÷15, they are still waiting to receive their permit for a new sign which takes up to 5 months. PARKING To find the place, look for the old«Angel’s Donuts» sign off of Paramount. There is a shared business parking lot on the McDonald’s side. Some street parking otherwise. ATMOSPHERE It’s a small shop. Casual. Chic. Modern. Indoor/outdoor seating. RESTROOMS No public restrooms available. SERVICE The owner is as nice as they come. The other employees are nice as well. They take careful attention to craft your drink, so be prepared to wait a few minutes. WHAT I’VETRIEDTHUSFAR Blended avocado frappé(no boba). It’s worth trying if you get a chance. I should have tried boba on this one. Thai milk tea on the rocks(no boba). By far my favorite. This concoction was not overly sweet as some that I’ve had. No complaints on the aftertaste! Geisha. This is from the«Creation Indeed» section of their menu. It primarily consists of matcha green tea which I’m sort of addicted to, but I try not to drink too much of… And red beans(Adzuki beans). This was an unexpected treat! The only reason it’s not my favorite is because I’m not big on blended drinks sometimes when it does that foam & froth thing. You might try a 1-story or a 2-story waffle, but that is it as far as food. TIPS –Discounts are currently offered for the duration of their soft opening. –Ruth T. mentioned that they’ll offer stamp cards in the future. BOBAADDICTS Our 2-year-old never wants to leave this place. I think this has to do with the atmosphere. And the letters on the floor: «Welcome to heaven of boba addicts.» If you can imagine a toddler sprawled out on the floor tracing the letters. Singing a song of her own. Ignoring my constant urges of «Let’s go» & «we’ve gotta go now» then yeah… that’s my child and probably any & all boba lovers who enter Boba Indeed. Review #433 Unilocal challenge 114

I was driving by and I literally did a double take when I saw the chalkboard that was advertising boba outside. Boba? In Downey? No… we just have one Boba Loca and that’s pretty much it for tea shops. Intrigued, I turned around and parked in the lot of what previously was an innocuous donut shop. They’ve transformed the space into a chic little boba shop, with cute décor and inviting seating. The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and what you get is a super chunky cup a la Half and Half. I balled out with one of their Creations, but normal milk teas are just $ 3.25 and INCLUDES the first topping for free! That’s more than what I can say for a lot of shops now. Additional toppings are a standard $ 0.50. Their menu is vast, and carries a lot of inventive mixes, but there is also the normal tea flavors. I tried the Polka Dots, which is Horchata snow milk, red bean, and boba. So good! It wasn’t too sweet, and the red beans added an interesting texture to the drink. The boba was firm and chewy, just the way I like it. I absolutely cannot wait to tell everyone I know in Downey about this place. I really hope their business thrives, especially since they are in between a high school and an elementary school. It is refreshing to be able to get boba near home, and not have to drive so out of the way to get my fix. The owner(?) was very nice, and told me that stamp cards are on the way too. Can’t wait to be a repeat customer! Drinks: 5, Service: 4, Environment: 5, Price: 5

Super cute place. I love boba and I’m happy there’s one in Downey. I ordered a lavender milk tea with boba. My drink is more like a chocolate milk with a slight hint of lavender. It’s yummy so I don’t mind the mix up this time. I plan to try their lychee drink next time. Loved the décor and the cashier was very friendly.

Pretty awesome place they have here. It seems like they opened not too long ago. They still have the donut sign right where there old donut shop use to be. The inside looks roomy with plenty of room to sit. The business is right near a Mcds so you can pick up their wifi if you need it. That said, their drinks are delicious. I’ve tried their horchata, polka dot and green tea blended boba drinks. I would without a doubt get them again but would consider trying a few more so that a get a taste of everything else. The staff is great. They don’t rush you at all and the menu itself is simple in the sense that everything is categorized nicely. Most if not all of their special drinks have the ingredients listed on the picture. As a whole, I’ll keep supporting this new place and welcome it. Keep it up you guys!

New spot in Downey! Not so easy to spot since there is still a tall donut shop sign in front of the location, it used to be a donut Shop. The Thai iced tea with boba was ok but it’s a cute little spot. The menu has many interesting drinks that I would like to try! I will definitely be going back to try the horchata milk tea. Stay tuned for an update!
