My daughter hates getting haircuts, and NEVER sits. Every place I have taken her to she is always crying and you can tell the stylist gets frustrated. I decided to try BoRics, again it was a fight trying to get my daughter to behave. Kira, who was out stylist was AWESOME. She was very patient and took her time with her. She even got a smile out of my daughter. I will definitely be going back there from now on

Dawn and Rachel do fantastic work. Even on a busy day, without appointment, I can get in pretty fast. They sell«It’s a miracle 10» and my other favorites on sale quite frequently. I have been to the competition; they’re not so good. Ask to sign up with your email and save 15%.

Take your chances. I used to go to Kira, but stopped. The ones who have been there awhile, don’t seem to care. The ones who are really good, don’t stay. And the newer ones are hit or miss. I have rarely gotten what I asked for, so I go elsewhere now.

I really like the service and the great highlights they did. I have always gone to Kira for myself and my daughter, even for my husband s few times. I normally get highlights and I have a lot of hair. Kira always listens and helps find the exact look I wanted. The highlights and haircuts are always perfect for me

I recommend a good haircut by Rachel. The only stylist I would absolutely NOT recommend is Betty. She has done a terrible job on my hair once and she will never touch my hair again. She has probably been doing this for a while but she should NOT be cutting hair. I went there once on a regular day and I had the dissatisfaction of getting a haircut from Betty. She is nice but talks WAYS too much for someone who is supposed to give you a haircut. She clearly wants a good tip so her approach is to be your best friend the whole time she is cutting your hair. She asks you the most personal questions like what you do for a living, etc. Anyway, during my haircut she dropped the clippers TWICE while they were on my head, and drop the shears once as well. Clearly she gets distracted from all the questions she asks the customers. She did not follow any of the SIMPLER instructions of how I wanted my haircut. At the end of the cut she said, «Straight hair is hard». I was so shocked to hear her say that. You’re meaning to tell me that as long as you’ve been cutting hair, Straight hair happens to be a challenge for you? At the end of my haircut she could tell I wasn’t pleased but still she told me she thought it looked nice. I was so offended she would consider her opinion over mine. I think I can be the judge of how my own hair looks. I left her a tip to my immediate regret. I went to my car and look at this god awful haircut in the mirror and I decided to go back and have her fix it. Long story short she made it worse but I’m not the type to get mad at people and make a scene so I’m just warning everyone to avoid getting cuts from this stylist. I went back a few weeks later and Betty was working. Thank god Rachel was there so I waited for her instead.

We tried to give them business but this place isn’t well-run. Lots of pissing and moaning from the stylists, and the last time I had to re-tell my 14 year old’s stylist that yes, when he tells you he wants a buzzcut he isn’t lying.

Worst experience I have EVER had in a salon and I wasn’t even the one getting my haircut. I went to Borics with my boyfriend to get his haircut and the experience was simply AWFUL. The woman who cut my boyfriends hair was extremely rude and unprofessional. When someone sits in your chair it is your job as a stylist to make them feel comfortable. He asked her professional opinion on what he should do with his hair because he wanted something different but wasn’t sure what would look good on him. This request was far to much for this woman to handle. The middle aged, frumpy stylist then shoved books of styles at us to choose from. When he wanted it a little shorter on the sides she began huffing and got extremely snotty. Considering there were 2 clients under the drier, another man getting his haircut by someone else, and a third stylist just standing there complaining about the customers they had today, she seemed extremely rushed. The haircut was mediocre and the experience was terrible. The $ 7 tip she was given was completely undeserved. My boyfriend ended up going home and trimming it up himself. We will NEVER go back and looking at the other reviews and lack of business I assume that other people feel the same.

I RECOMMEND Beauty On the Main in Downers Grove. BoRics is a horrible experience and their stylists are in a rush and are rough with your hair. I have liked Borics the first couple of times I went but the employees don’t seem to be very friendly. One of them is always talking about the customers to her coworkers and it’s very obvious. After my recent experience there I will not be going back. During the haircut(or whatever you’re getting done) they mention that they’re in need of money, make snide comments towards you or what you do, and I feel like if I am your source of income you shouldn’t be rude to me and try to make me feel beneath you… there goes your tip. I thought this would be good place but it seems like they need management to review their workers.

I chose to get my hair cut at Bo Rics because they were advertising haircuts for $ 7. I formerly had hair down to my waist. After my haircut, I have choppy«layers»(and I use that term loosely) that look TERRIBLE. The stylist cut anywhere from 6−12″ of hair from different areas of my head, after I specifically asked for 4″ to be cut with a few layers around my face(I showed her exactly what I wanted). She showed me 4″ of hair to be cut and proceeded to cut MUCHMORE. She also added her opinion that people my age(I am in my 30s but appear 10 years younger) need to go SHORTER. All I can say is WTF. I will be growing out this crap job for at least 2 years now. ****The stylist also rang my haircut up for $ 13. She only changed the amount when I pointed out that haircuts should be $ 7. Her response was that you have to ask for the $ 7 haircut; they don’t automatically offer it(although they didn’t require others to ask).

I always come back to BoRic’s for a haircut. I’m very middle-of-the-road about where I get a hair cut; I can’t stand the loud, testosterone-driven men’s hair care places, but I also can’t stand the too-quiet, professional hair-care-pushing salespeople. BoRic’s formula is simple: a decent hair cut for a decent price at a decent-staffed store. No one here is trying to push you into buying products or features I don’t need. They understand completely that people just want to get in, get their hair done the way they want it, and get out. I personally don’t use the other services there, but it’s nice to know that I could get a shampoo if I wanted. Bottom line: you can’t beat simplicity. Keep it up, BoRic’s!

Always a decent haircut. Seldom any waiting time. Cannot beat the $ 13 price.
