Amy’s Hallmark Shop

This is a really nice Hallmark store. I really wonder how these shops stay open, with their overpriced greeting cards and knick-​knacks, but the service here is wonderful.
I was looking for a gift for twins, for baptism, and found one lamb blanket and one baby rosary. The baby rosary was broken, so the cashier called the Bolingbrook store. They had neither item in stock, so I left emptyhanded. Hallmark is not a place to go if you need items in bulk (i.e. more than one). And the section of religious gifts is incredibly small. Options are limited to picture frames and stuffed animals.
I’m not a fan of the many Precious Moments or Mickey Mouse porcelain collectibles, espeically for children’s gifts, as they really have no use for them or they will end up broken. The cashier suggested I purchase the Precious Moments train, one piece per year, for the child. Sorry, but no BOY is ever going to take this with him when he moves to college or moves away from home. I couldn’t help but think about how annoyed I’d be if my husband moved in with a box full of Precious Moments… more dust to collect and settle.
So, while Hallmark does stock lots of useless gifts, it’s the destination for people who ARE collectors or looking for that one unique item.
The ladies here are really very sweet though.

Anna’s was the second stop in my tour of Hallmark stores. Of the three Hallmark stores I visited, I rank Anna’s number one in terms of gift selection. They had a fine collection of angels, music boxes, and tasteful framed sayings. The store is well-​organized and a pleasure to shop. I am often able to find just the right card. On this particular visit, I did not make a purchase. However, I was tempted by a number of items.

My favorite Hallmark shop! They are always well stocked and have lots of fun little do-​dads for gifts. AND what’s there not to like about 75% Christmas merchandise!!? I seriously stocked up on all my ornaments, wrapping paper, bags, bow, pens, etc. etc. I don’t know another Hallmark store that offers the 75% off Christmas stuff! Check them out!
