I’m always surprised that there aren’t more people eating here when I am. The food is fantastic. The staff is wonderful. We just love this place! Take out is good here too!

This place is awesome. Not only is the food flavorful, fast, and fresh, the service is excellent! We are always greeted with a warm welcome and leave happy. The prices are great and the food is one of the better Indian restaurants on the Seacoast. I would highly recommend. The past two times we’ve been we’ve been treated to a complimentary rice pudding which is excellent(and this time they gave us some papadum!) This place deserves five stars!

This place is stellar! Everything you’d hope for from an Indian restaurant. My girlfriend and I just moved to the area and ended up here on a whim, now we are frequenting this place a couple times a week. The coconut chicken and the garlic naan are excellent. My favorite is the chicken vindaloo, and if you order it «India hot», it’ll knock your socks off. The sweet rice pudding is the perfect compliment to the spice with its creamy cooling effect on the palette. The service was great too. A true family restaurant, authentic and sincere. You have to check this place out if you haven’t already.

We went here on our way back to New York from White Mountains. It’s run by a North Indian Family. We enjoyed our food and the service was outstanding. Owners were personable which made our experience even better. We would go again if we come up here.

The waiter was extremely helpful and accommodating. I am a recent vegan and needed to find a vegan meal. I used Unilocal to find the Taste of India by searching on vegan. Parking was difficult. When we went inside I was shocked that there was no one else there. Was a little worried about that. But from the first time the waiter came to the table, I was reassured with my decision to go there. The food was fantastic, the service impeccable and the price very fair. It will be a destination in the near future. Two thumbs up.

Great tasting food. Will be back. Lots of flavor. Ordered the chicken tikka masala it tasted fantastic. I was impressed when a family of 6 walked in 15 minutes before closing and they were still very eager to take the order.

Worst experience! Can’t imagine how they are managing to do all the dishes worse… I ordered, chicken curry, they gave like tomato chutney with chicken chicken biryani like peas rice that too worse Chicken pakora as onion pakora. Never suggest this restaurant to anyone.

We’ve lived in Dover for a couple years now and we’ve ordered here many times. The owners are super friendly and the food is great. The biryani I ordered the last time wasn’t the greatest but my husband enjoys the curry. I usually order Saag Paneer which I love. My daughter eats any of it(she loves dipping nan into the chutney!) Samosas are great too. We’ve done the buffet once which was good as well, just not a huge selection. Coming from Chicagoans I’m used to seeing large spreads for buffets, but I get it. Parking isn’t too bad here, either.

I will give this place a three star. Owner of this place is from north india it seems. Food quality was ok. I ordered dal makhni and paneer sag. I requested owner to prepare food with less cream. but I was dissapointed with the outcome. I was not able to eat saag paneer. Dal makhni was still ok. I m going back to dover soon probably will ask owner to address my concerns regarding cream. I dnt want sweet indian food please.

We were disappointed unfortunately. The service was good, every Indian restaurant we’ve been to around this state has been pleasant experience. Where it lacks is the quality of food. Compared to Shalimar in Portsmouth the chicken was very dry and the curry was not flavorful. The price in the end made it seem much higher than we’d like. If you want ‘layers’ of taste this isn’t the place. It’s very bland to be honest and considering Indian food generally uses variety of spices we were shocked it didn’t taste that great. Our three year old then wasn’t all that impressed either as there were exactly a kid’s menu.

When we moved to Dover we were very excited to have an Indian place literally across the street. Sadly we have only eaten here about three times. In general the food, although well made, is a little bland. This goes double for the small buffet they have on Sundays. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice… we are just looking for a little more flavor.

We recently moved to New Hampshire. My husband is from the northern region of India, and was excited to see a Sikh-owned restaurant not far from our house. We went for the Sunday buffet to try it out. Very small buffet(like 5 selections including rice), but maybe that is common here? Tandoori chicken was very dry and completely lacked masala! It was just dyed red and had something sprinkled on it. The naan was actually roti. The curries(one minced lamb, the other veg) lacked any/all spice whatsoever. Maybe a light curry flavor, but very disappointing. This restaurant seems to have a very big, loyal following here. I completely understand, and even admire, them for adapting to the local palate and staying in business for so long. Unfortunately, this was not good Indian food and we will not be back.

I LOVE a good Indian restaurant and these guys are the real deal. Also, the staff is always SO friendly and nice! I’ve loved everything I’ve ever had from this place, from the papadam to the naan to the korma to the chicken tikka masala. It’s all so flavorful and perfectly prepared. The meat is always tender, the sauces flavorful and spicy. I did once make the mistake of ordering my meal«Indian hot» which was an adventure. Not their fault that I was overly ambitious on how much heat I could handle. It was still delicious, but next time I’ll get it «regular hot.» I’ve been going to this place since I was in college and the food is always consistently good. The atmosphere is nothing special, but I could care less when the food is as good as it is. I usually do take-out anyway. If you’re looking for a delicious meal in Dover, look no further.

Decent place. Usually come here for my curry fix. To be fair I mostly only get the lamb curry with the occasional naan; takes around 10 minutes so it’s pretty fast.

I miss this place SO much! When I lived in Dover I was eating here 2 – 3 times a month because it is absolutely the best indian food I have ever have. Having moved to the North Shore of Boston, I have realized how true this actually is! Still, Taste of India in Dover is the BESTINDIANFOOD I HAVEEVERHAD! I only wish they had another location on the North Shore! Not only is the food spectacular(including their amazing Buffet items!), but the service is also top notch. I was always greeted with a smile and asked how I was doing. One of the owners, Yoga(I think that’s how his name is spelt, that’s how it is pronounced from what I remember) was so nice every time :) This place is a MUSTTRY!

Highly recommend this place for Indian food. A little bit pricy but the sauces were complex and incredibly flavorful. The lamb was tender and the naan was fresh and amazing. The chai tea was also great. Servers were helpful, friendly, and attentive. Will definitely be back!

Very friendly vegan/vegetarian menu. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I started off with a cucumber salad along with the coconut soup, which both were plentiful and delicious. My main course was a spicy curry vegetable special with basmati rice, and a side of coconut naan bread. My curry was hot, which is what I asked for, and almost as perfect as it gets. It was mixed in a nice, chickpea purée that went beautifully with my rice. Naan bread was warm, soft, and was a nice compliment to the spice in the curry sauce. I’m glad I found this place as I will be back there every time I’m in the Dover area.

Awesome food! We are traveling and stopped at Taste of India on a whim. We ordered saag paneer and garlic nun bread. Both came out very hot and very delicious. For desert we had Indian style rice pudding and ice cream and both were so yum! They were seriously the best deserts we’ve had in a long time :) highly recommend this place!
