Super service and easy to find in the Sullivan tire shop parking lot. Cash only. Unfortunately the sandwich is light on meat and low on taste. The bread is disgusting.

Delicious! Homemade sub rolls are a true bonus. Extremely affordable, most subs under $ 6 and rapid service. Pull up, order a delicious sandwich, and walk away in under 5 minutes. A true gem.

No hots, no banana peppers, no this, no that… you pay extra for mayo or mustard. These are the sandwich Nazis! You have to watch the video posted on another guy’s review to truly understand where this philosophy comes from. Only In-n-Out burger can pull off a minimalist menu. These guys are serving so-so subs out of a tire shop. Really???

True sandwhich shops are a happy thing in a world of franchise fakes. Roland’s offers some heart and soul with their basic subs. Not fancy, this is practical street food. Friendly and affordable, I would go back…

To compare a local landmark like Roland’s to a national chain like Subway is pathetic. I weep for the youth of this country showing such loyalty to the mechanized food industry. The fact that Roland’s has survived for decades in such a remote location speak volumes to their product. When I lived at Sawyer Mills Apartments I ate here regularly. My favorite was the tuna sub with pickles. –NH Native born in Dover.

Ehhhh… The sub rolls taste pretty good, but not anything that exciting. Cash only. A $ 5 footlong from subway would be a better option in my opinion.

A place where all the locals know. It’s a well kept secret on the Seacoast area. Fantastic sandwiches! This place has been around for decades, despite spending it’s first good chunk f existence in a tin travel trailer in an empty, rarely used parking. You were lucky to find his little gem. They moved their digs in with a Sullivan Tire place when they renovated. They occupy a little corner of the building and produce fantastic subs! I always get the tuna loaded with extra pickles. Delicious! The sub rolls are hand-made and there are times when you arrive in the late afternoon to a closed sign due to running out of rolls. Get there early! Lunchtime is quite a busy time. You’ll find a businessman, an electrician, a student or a busy soccer mom all waiting for their particular favorite Roland’s sub. Prices are reasonable… with an average being $ 5.35. They sell cookies and bags of chips, with a soda machine a few feet from the order window. You can always call ahead and have you sub waiting for you.
