Love the food and drinks here! Friendly staff is a plus and the atmosphere is great. You can’t go wrong(or hungry) here so I highly recommend it. The best drinks I’ve had here are the martinis but really they’re all good.

One star, and I think I’m being generous. I used to be a regular customer three or four years ago for dinner. Are used to bring big groups in for dinner. This time, I was with a group for lunch… Unfortunately, at my recommendation. To start with, the dining room was cold. I asked the waiter to turn the heat up, and then asked him again 15 minutes later, and then asked him again 45 minutes later when he told me that he had it but it takes a while to heat up. Most of the party had to wear their jackets. Then we ordered appetizers… The best of them tasted like they were heated in the microwave one of them wasn’t even at all. The entrées were no better. My hamburger was overcooked and tasteless, the fries were cold, there was really nothing to good to be sad about it. This is definitely the last time i’ll eat here. On top of it all the service was just average

My wife, another couple and I had a wonderful time last night. Our sever was engaging friendly and very attentive. My review would have been five stars if my Cajon shrimp special had more Cajon spice flavor. The shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly however the breading had no Cajon spice that I could dectect. The sweet potato fries that came with my special were exceptional, nice and crispy!

Blue Latitudes has a special place in my heart because my best friend’s rehearsal dinner was there a couple of years ago. When I moved to Dover, I thought I would go there a lot more, but I don’t nearly as much as I thought I would. This is because although the food is pretty decent, it’s often unremarkable as well. Their salads are creative and that’s probably the best I can say about them. I’ve had a couple of their pasta dishes and felt as though they were fine, but forgettable. The atmosphere is casual, but they kind of come across as if it’s more of a fine-dining experience. Maybe that’s my own misperception, I’m not sure. The outdoor patio is great in the warmer months, though and I highly recommend the sweet potato chips appetizer. Yum!

My wife and I love this place. We eat here often and have always enjoyed our meals. The jerk salmon is fantastic. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend.

This is one of those places that looks really good on paper, but sadly the execution never lives up to what the menu says. I could imagine a 5 star restaurant with the exact same menu and better execution. I will probably be back here again(I’ve been a total of 4 or 5 times already). Every time I get my hopes up but it always seems to just be average.

Tried Blue Latitudes for the first time and not overly impressed. The good: One of our party got some sort of crab cake appetizer and they said it was excellent. I got the seafood risotto for my entrée. Although the risotto itself was a bit bland, the scallops and shrimp(and a small amount of lobster) were of good quality and properly cooked. The bad: I got the chocolate calzone for dessert. Now, the calzone itself was quite good, but the huge mass of whipped cream was from a can and the very generous portion of ice cream was of mediocre quality and frankly not worth the calories. For my appetizer I got mussels with leeks in some sort of cream broth. The mussels were literally the tiniest I have ever seen(the mussel part, not the shell). Never seen anything like it. The broth had a flavor that was both slightly unpleasant and also quite bland. Not a good combination. They included three wedges of slightly toasted french bread. Either toast or don’t toast. But leaving them part untoasted and part toasted was weird(and not the best bread either). My girlfriend got the Quinoa entrée. As bad as it looked, she tells me that it tasted even worse. A complete joke and I cannot understand how it made it onto the menu. Why are there big screen TV’s hanging in the dining room? Is this a sports bar? They seemed completely at odds with the rest of the décor and harmed the ambience. Another strange choice.

Went here for the second time as I recalled the food being pretty good. This time, not so much. It might be just what I ordered… which was a spicy peanut quinoa and portabella mushroom plate. It looked like pile of brown mush and was nasty. Was this their lame attempt to give non-meat eaters something on the menu? Did the owner or chef even try this dish to see if it was edible? They should really take it off the menu. That said, the real turn off was having TVs in the main dining area. Really? Can we not function through dinner without having to see TVs on? It really takes away from and clashes with the nice ambience and décor they have in the renovated mill. If I wanted TV I would have stayed home or sat in the bar. Another turn off was the blaring crappy music. We could barely hear each other — but the waitress was kind enough to have it turned down. Don’t think we’ll be going back, unless changes are made. PLEASE get the TVs out of the dining area and come up with a better/replacement dish for that disgusting quinoa thing.

We have eaten at Blue Latitudes five or six times beginning in March. We love this place and it has become our go-to place in Dover! The waitstaff has been consistently warm, friendly, and attentive(and, at this point, recognize us). Ambiance: in March, when we discovered it, it was still cold, wet, semi-winter weather and the restaurant was warm, nicely lit, and we were cosy in one of the booths. This summer, we consistently sit outside on the patio that faces the small Cocheco square in downtown Dover. It’s perfect to linger over a bottle of wine(which are ½ price on Wednesdays!) Food: we haven’t managed to sample the whole menu because we keep going back to our favorites: seared Ahi tuna, both appetizer and salad, excellent! Lobster spring rolls, caprese salad, beef tenderloin, and chicken piccata(no longer on the menu but I hope it comes back!) — all are wonderful. Farm-fresh, local veggies are steamed and crisp, not overdone. They have been very accommodating about subbing out mashed potatoes for lower carb choices. Summary: eating here is always a pleasure! We feel well taken care of, the food is consistently excellent, and last night two large appetizers, a full bottle of wine plus coffee cost us $ 40. Not exactly cheap, but terrific value for the meal. Things I’d like to see added: daily or weekly specials for a bit more variety and a cappuccino machine!

Just had a great dinner. Loved the slower pace of the service, sometimes there is no reason to rush. Our every need was taken care of and the taste of the food was good. We had crab fritters as appetizer. He had the filet mignon special and I had the seafood risotto. Dessert to finish it off and then we went home to have a food coma. Haha! My fourth visit here. Consistently good.

My husband and I went for the first time on Friday evening. I didn’t tell him about the marginal reviews on this place. I had the Chicken Bruschetta, which was fine. Wish my risotto at home came out like this. My husband ordered the steak on special. He said he’d never had such a poorly cooked steak(he’s from Chicago and knows too much about red meat). $ 80 later he wasn’t pleased. Waitress was nice enough. Maybe it was because he wore a hat in the restaurant! Shame on him…

Just fine! Good service. Food wasn’t too pricey and it was good. It came out in a timely fashion. I was impressed with the price of beer, it was cheaper than what I’m used to. They serve bread and honey butter which was great to munch on. I got a salad and my friends got entrees which were all really good! Will be returning.

I’ve always had very good experiences here whether it’s been at the bar with a few friends, in the dining room, or with a large party in the function room. The staff has always been very accommodating and friendly, the food is consistently very good, and every once in a while they put out a great special. Glad to see they were able to reopen after the City and contractor debacle that happened last year.

Here is what I have to say this restaurant had great ambiance, ok good and slow service. I was expecting the slow service and wasn’t to worried because of other reviews I had read, however, it was slow! When Jordyne came over she was apologetic and extremely nice. She took our drink orders and food orders promptly. Our drinks and nachos came out in time… and our orders came a time after that. Now after the wait one would hope the food was fabulous but it was just ok. The appetizer of nachos was the best then the fish and chips, cheese burger, caprese salad and scallops dish in that order. All in all if you are looking for an upbeat atmosphere and okay food this is your place. If you want delicious food, go elsewhere

We had initially shied away from Blue Latitudes due to some of the less than flattering reviews regarding the service. We had some family in town visiting tonight and we ended up giving it a try and are very glad we did. I had braced myself for good food and terrible service but was overwhelmingly surprised by the latter. The food was good, nothing over the top, but all well done and fairly priced. They executed well on some items that many restaurants botch up. Steak for a Caesar salad was cooked to order temp as was the«best burger in Dover» they had a risotto that my mother-in-law loved, and a vegan quinoa dish that was very tasty. But I had expected good food. The star of the meal was the service. Prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. If you, like us, have been on the fence due to online reviews, do yourself a favor and give it a try ask for Kylie.

We had a great experience, it’s a cool vibe brick and old timber. Good service, we were greeted with a smile seated quickly and drink in hand! We were served quickly and the food was great, would recommend a try!

The wait was too long to be seated with only two customers in the restaurant. The waitress seemed short with us like she had something better to do. The food is still excellent.

My first experience was not the best, food was good but ended up sick and it may have been the chicken. I was hesitant to go back but DID and have proactively since. I’ve sat in both the bar area and restaurant side. Staff is knowledgeable and waitstaff is friendly. Well, all but the male bartender I had the one time I sat at the bar soooo sit in the lounge or other side but if you’re looking to enjoy the service and eat pass on sitting at bar. Food is fresh and plenty of variety in regards to «fried» vs. «healthy»

I LOVE this place! I went in once just trying a new restaurant, got the seared mahi tuna– blew my mind away. Then me and my fiancé went back for Valentines day– also great! This time they gave complimentary strawberries in chocolate. I like going here when im feeling a little classy but some people go for their everyday
