The fish tacos are really good here and pretty much I’ve never had anything that wasn’t worth the price. Is it going to taste like a 5 star restaurant on the gulf? Of course not, it’s pretty much a fast food restaurant but if you want seafood that blows away other chain seafood fast food then this is the place. I wish they would dim the lights just a bit at night cause it’s a bit harsh on your eyes. That would be any easy fix that would help the atmosphere. If they sold beer I think they could really increase sales but that may be personal decision by the owner or a restriction in the franchise agreement. Overall it’s worth what you pay.

Very delicious seafood and fast and friendly service! My husband and I had the Blackened Mahi Mahi with fries he had the cheese grits and I had the slaw. It also comes with 3 good sized hush puppies which were also very good. The portions are big, we had fries left over. Casual dining like a café .They also give 15% military discount, our total after discount was $ 29.60. We will definitely eat here again!

Just found a hidden gem! Excellent FRESH seafood! Super clean! Great pricing. Great friendly service! Give it a try… you won’t be sorry! Hubby had the snapper platter. Couldn’t eat it all. I had grilled shrimp tacos! Yummy!

Leaves a lot to be desired. To be so close to the Gulf — this hardly tastes fresh. The tacos are palatable — but are better with chicken than shrimp, which doesn’t bode well for a seafood restaurant.

My husband and I love to go here with our daughter or for take-out. It’s easy, no fuss, and quiet. The prices are fair for what you get. I love the shrimp and grits and the garlic green beans. Fried shrimp is good also. They have good kids meals that come with plenty of food.

After coming and going and closing and reopening, the Wharf is making a go of it again. I wish I could say the food is as good as when it first opened, but it isn’t. I got the 12 fried shrimp platter the other night to see how things are going. The shrimp were cooked well but could have used more seasoning. The obviously frozen fries were overcooked and not worth eating. The cole slaw is the one that really breaks my heart though. When they first opened they had my favorite cole slaw in the world. The stuff they served me this time was a little past the sell-by date and flavorless. Also the soda machine was broken. If things continue this way, the Wharf is just limping along until the bank account says they have to close for good. Also they have returned to the Christian music and bible verses on the walls. I’m here for food, guys, not church.

This just opened next to nail essence and palm beach tan on 84. It is fabulous and quick and healthy. The blackened mahi mahi is cooked perfectly and even non-fish lovers will like it. They have the best green beans I’ve ever had in my life! They are covered in a delicious garlic sauce. It’s definitely a great quick takeout place!

My wife and I went to Wharf Express tonight for the first time using one of the half off deals from Dothan Eagle’s , and I have to say I was very surprised at how good the good was, and at a great price. Between the two of us, we had blackened mahi mahi, fried oysters, cheese grits, red beans and rice, and cole slaw. All were very good and fresh. The hush puppies were delicious and I usually don’t like hush puppies. It was just as good as most of the other seafood places in town and more reasonably priced — less than $ 30 and with our deal it was under $ 10. Can’t beat that! The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars was that it took a while to get our food. I expected a little faster service from«express», but the food was worth the wait. Definitely will be back again!

My family and I have eaten at the Wharf twice since they opened. We decided to try it after several of my co-workers raved about how the good the food was and the large portions received. Both times we have eaten there, everything was wonderful. The portions are large and prices are low. We have tried the blackened tilapia and mahi mahi and both were great! The fried shrimp was as good as any in Dothan and the hushpuppies and cole slaw were the best we’ve had in a long time. Garlic green beans, loaded cheese grits and the fried shrimp po boy sandwich also really good. The atmosphere was very simple and nice and the entire staff was very friendly. We will definately be eating there often.
