A small town bar like this, it’s something you have to experience at least once in your life. I dare you to ask: «What beers do you have on tap?» Because the bartender will stare at you and point to the fridge with bottles of beer. Because they have no taps! Drinks are cheap. $ 3ish for a well drink. Plus you can usually score some free drink wooden chips if you flirt with the bartender.(they never expire, they’re currency, they just keep getting passed around) There’s a pool table and shuffle board. Some tvs and sometimes a working jukebox. Pretty standard. The key here is that it’s the ONLY bar for roughly 20 miles. So you’ll get to meet the whole town on Friday night after the football game. They’re nice people, they’ll tell you their whole life story and ask about yours. And probably ask if you’re related to so-and-so. You probably are. Don’t lie. and as with most of DP, CASHONLY.

A Spanish Teacher A Football Coach A Visiting College Student A Farmer A Mechanic That list is the demographic of this hole-in-the-wall in my Hometown. The Servatorium(or the Serv, as we call it).is the only watering hole in town. Indescribable things happen at this joint when I get dragged into having a couple drinks with old high school chums during the Holidays. Past teachers + Past students + Alcohol = Train Wreck. Gotta love small towns =)
