Visited Darkhorse Antiques to see if they could help me understand value on a few pieces that had been my mothers. It was my first time visiting and I was happily surprise!!! They had so many beautiful items! I met Robert who is the owner and he was absolutely lovely!!! He looked over my items and offered great information and guidance!!! Thank you Robert!!! This is truly a hidden gem!!!

What an amazing little shop full of exquisite antiques of all genres. We found the perfect mounted 10 point deer skull that will soon have a new home! Definitely recommend stopping in.

Beautiful collection! Many small treasures hiding among BIG impressive pieces at Dark Horse. The owner was very friendly and engaging, he even recommended us to another neighboring antique store which I thought was a nice gesture. It shows that he cares about the small business community in lower mills and cares about great antique pieces!

We’ve bought a number of things there. The prices are good, the range of styles is excellent, and there are some diamonds in the rough to be found. We love the narrow little paths between towers of stuff. You are welcome to spend as much time as you like. Robert, the owner, is laid back and very willing to talk about his finds and yours. The location is wonderful because Lower Mills is beautiful(The Chocolate Factory, on the Neponset River) and has a number of interesting shops. Parking is on-street, but we’ve never had to walk more than a block. Coffee shop next door.

Just stopped in quick, had driven by and was intrigued. Has potential but very small and cramped. If you want to make a purchase how do you get it out? Didn’t feel comfortable browsing. Can leave email if searching for something specific. Hard to park.

The owner is a long time, trusted member of the Lower Mills community. The store is a rich trove wonderful furniture and decorative pieces. The quality is excellent and the prices seem very fair. We live near by and never tire of seeing what’s new in the windows. Yes, the hours are sometimes«flexible,» but that just adds to the charm. The store is jam packed so take your time and enjoy.
