Never ever again. Is there any way to give 0 stars? The people working here are the rudest people ever and will look you dead in your face and lie to you. I had a truly horrible interaction with the woman at the counter. With all the Haitian restaurants opening up in the Boston area, I hope they put this one out of business. If you want to be a horrible human being stay home and cook for your own family who has to deal with you, leave the public alone. The food was nowhere near good enough to deal with the service I had. I can get better food elsewhere.

It’s totally my fault for not looking at Unilocal first before going into this horrible place.
They refused to give a refund after I asked them nicely their griot did not taste good!!! after their food has been sitting there all day and I’ve seen them microwave it, they don’t even have forks only spoons made for toddlers, I don’t understand why it took them about 15 minutes to prepare the food even though it was already cooked, the girl at the front desk was a complete lazy moron, Haitians or anybody else do yourself a favor and don’t go there, they are a big disgrace to Haitian food.

The food is good, just overpriced. Needs improvement on customer service. They keep me coming back for the Haitian soup on Sundays after church.

The food is good but the plates have gotten smaller over the years, which is a real downer because the food is also very overpriced for the amount given. Depending on when u go u will get good service but i have also been in there with an older woman that gave me a death look and totally turned me off to the place for a while.

Im so disgusted right now. I just got robbed by this place. DO NOT ORDER HERE! they sent the wrong order. that’s not the bad part. they charged me twenty five dollars for two plates of rice only with nothing else and wouldn’t give me a refund or the correct food. I got nothing I ordered and had to pay an arm and a leg. they robbed me in broad daytime and they have no shame at all because it’s just business as usual for them… they are thieves and there customer service is the worst. DO NOT ORDER!!!

OMG! Can’t believe I paid $ 12.00 for a plate that came with just two green plantain (small round slices), two little pieces of meat that appeared to be chopped up from the leg. The third piece was practically a bone. They gave me a lot of rice to feed six people. When I brought it to their attention. The older dark skin lady who appeared to be in charge was refusing to add more meat to my plate. Accusing me of eating some of it. which I hadn’t even began eating yet. I told her I am not a dog I don’t eat bones, she said some people like that part of the meat. I said well you should ask me if that’s what I prefer first. She went on to complain about what it cost for them and where they order their meat from and that’s how it’s shipped. I just couldn’t believe how cheap they were with their food when their prices certainly aren’t cheap. After 10 minutes of debating back and forth I finally got a third piece of meat but vowed not to eat there again. How could this same olé plate feed a hungry old man! SMH! If your going to open a business serve portions!

Why are they still in business? I’m very disappointed at this Haitian place. This place is disgrace so I go there with a couple friends First off we was not even there been for 5 minutes the waitress was already telling us we need to harry up there closing clearly we got there one hour before they closed the waitress was very rude and uneducated (that’s what happens when you hire cheap help) so we sit down mind you its 3 of us waitress come and states are we eating here clearly we all sat at this table now she comes with two dirty menu not sure if they came out the trash bin so i ask can we get a third menu she pays me no mind so i start to talk even louder then say we can share now i placed and order fritay it came with all badly fried green sweet plantains i ask the waitress can i get regular plantains replies rudely that all we have the we order some legume (Vegetable Stew) got some thing different from the menu the worst thing is they !!! CHARGE FOR TOO GO PLATES!!! so after you pay for your meal you still have to pay extra to take your own food home wtf is that the place is very disappointing and i really not refer this place to anyone stay away you will me on Unilocal telling your disappointment :(

This place is still around purely base on reputation, I used to go here allot when I was younger and they were great, the food price everything. now the staff are rude, the food are over price, and the food is decent at best. The place is nice and clean at least and pretty big but every thing has went down hill, I won’t even step foot in there

If I could give no stars I would! I have had their food about 10 times recently. Usually fried fish, white rice, sauce, and black bean sauce. Once I ordered this dish and when I got home they gave me green bean sauce which I absolutely HATE! Instead of telling me they no longer had black they simply put in the green. I let it slide because my boyfriend did not mind. When ordering fish on the phone the first few times it was allowed. Around the fourth time I called they suddenly no longer took orders of fish over the phone. Then as I am going to explain the confusion she rushes me off the phone stating to come into the store and hangs up.
I stopped wanting to order there but my boyfriend continued. Last night was finally the last straw, I called around 10:15pm and their closing time said 11pm. I still asked the lady what time they close she said 10:30. As I began to order (fried chicken NOT FISH) she said we don’t take any orders over the phone. Frustrated but starving I sped to the restaurant and arrived by 10:23. I placed my order and watched the lady fry my chicken and everything else was already plated. She handed me my food and I saw no pickeles (spicy cabbage/​carrot sauce served with every dish) I asked her for some then left. I got home in 5 minutes as I began to open up my meal I was given TWO pieces of chicken !!! I was given a tablespoon of sauce for my whole meal and to make matters worse I the black bean sauce was ice cold ! I heated it up in the microwave and as I did I smelled a burning scent. As I took the black sauce out it smelled like the sauce had been burnt. I tasted it and yes it had been burnt! Disappointed, frustrated, and hungry!!! I called back at 10:55 and at first the lady had no idea what I was saying then I was told to call back and the situation will be handled. I will do so and hopefully they stick by their word!!! Regardless they have lost a customer. Impolite and horrible customer service!

I used to go here once in a while but all of a sudden their service and food went downhill. There was one specific plate I used to get and they seemed to have run out of the goat meat. I went there so many times trying to get that one dish and they never had it no matter what time I went. It got to the point that I started calling to see if they have the dish and they didn’t. The staff never seemed friendly. They all looked mean and worked slow. They never smile or look like they’re happy. I had their breakfast one time and it was the worst thing I ever tasted. I got a recommendation from a friend to try Las Vegas Seafood Restaurant in Hyde Park (another Haitian place) and I’ll be going there tonight. Hopefully they are fully stocked unlike this place!

The new lady who takes the orders is very pleasant. i really like her…
The food is still great.
so Bön Appetit Restaurant is one of my favorites.
Atmosphere can use a little tweaking but its very rare that I sit and eat there …
so yeah that s where I get my Haitian food.

Bön APETIT WILL NEVET GET MY MONEY EVER AGAIN. The people are rude and don’t take people’s orders correctly. The woman took my order over the phone and assured me that was my order that I placed with an attitude and when I picked it up she acted as if She was doing me a favor by allowing me to come to her establishment. This is very unprofessional and I will make sure that I will never recommend this place to anyone… The salad was so small even a rabbit wouldn’t eat it. And the Tazo was so salty that my mom had to take blood pressure pills. Horrible.

They have been around for so long, they just don’t care. Customer service is horrid. Food is mediocre. You are better off going to Las Vegas in Hyde Park.

Bön Appetit Restaurant has excellent food. The portions are large and cooked to order. The staff is pleasant and the sauce is delicious. My favorite dish is taso & rice w/​beans. This is my go to spot for freshly cooked Haitian food.
Warning: Parking can be trouble so look for spots on the side of the restaurant.
