The UM and the Yummi roll are delicious! And the fried rice is so tasty, but sometimes it’s undercooked. The food is good and for a good price. On the other hand, the service is horrible! Waiters take forever, they seem to be lost at times, and sometimes they seem to be moody.

The sushi was okay, nothing special that would make a must return for their sushi. The place should have four dollar signs, since each piece was pretty expensive(we’re not in NYC or Tokyo, folks). Two of us had five beers two rolls two appetizers and eight pieces, the bill was over $ 80. Sushi sizes were small compared to several places I’ve experienced. You might think that we ordered a lot but the portions were small. Most of the pictures shown on Unilocal, clearly someone used zoom to make the portions look bigger.

Apparently they don’t not accept«coins» so, when they say is $ 8.64 it’s really $ 9.00. I wasn’t aware that coins wasn’t consider money.

Listen, I think that the décor was amazing. The Atmosphere is so New York trendy but for a 1st impression-the sushi was sadly mediocre. The food presentation-great. The service-needed some improvements. The drinks-really good. But the food-disappointing! The seats-although they look cool. The seats against the walls are crazy uncomfortable… it was like sitting on plywood with a thin layer of cushion-it sucked sitting there, so I moved to a single seat… trust me, cozy seats are important in a dining experience. The location-good. The prices-not bad around lunch time. **Note: Cool place to take someone to on a 1st or 2nd date but make sure that they are not a sushi fanatic if you want the best results!!! So, check it out… I ordered the Eel because I love Eel but the rice to Eel ratio was off and the Eel itself was sadly not that flavorful however, the hot green tea was really good. Tha Unilocal Daddy probably won’t be back anymore!

First and last time trying this place out. I placed a to-go order and was overcharged. I decided to overlook the excess charges because it seemed to be busy but the hostess/cashier kindly turned away my money saying she did not«accept coins» when I handed her one of my dollars in quarters. It did not take long for me to kindly turn away their service. I understand hesitance if a patron pays with a lot of change but I hardly think four quarters weigh an apron down. Discouraging attitude all around.

I forgot to take a picture of my lunch but it was really good. I tried the Angel Roll with shrimp tempura, crab salad, masago, cream cheese, avocado, spicy mayo, eel sauce and topped with some crunchy stuff. I highly recommend it. The portion of one order was good enough to fill one person. The service was okay, not bad at all but nothing amazing either. The food did take a bit long to come out on a Wednesday at 1:30pm considering that they were less than ¼ full and it was just sushi I ordered after all. The atmosphere is pretty nice and not too noisy.

Unfortunately, had a negative experience today. FOOD: okay SERVICE: unprofessional. Sat us in the last table by the bathroom, restaurant was pretty empty so about 6 – 7 staff members were gathered next to us speaking. We felt claustrophobic. Apparently the manager was training 1 – 2 members and they were just watching us like Hawks. I still had food in my mouth and the waitress was already picking up the plates from our table to then immediately bring us the check. Also, the serving size has decreased since they opened, what the heck! I felt very uncomfortable, bad bad bad! Sorry sushi sake…

For a Sushi Non– Eater the food is decent. I ordered the Chicken Katsu with fried rice. The BBQ sauce on the side needs some love, not very tasty. The service needs a lot of help! The restaurant was not busy and everything took FOREVER… even for water refills.

Sushi sake is amazing I have gone to around 3 of their locations in Miami and trust me you will enjoy this place. There’s so many sushi rolls to pick from but my all time favorite is the angel roll. The fried rice with shrimp is also delicious specially if you add a hint of spicy mayo. I’m also obsessed with their fried doughnuts and fried ice cream(big enough for two)

I would first like to state that Sushi Sake sushi is actually good, but not every establishment runs the same way and that is the very reason for which this place falls short. Last night I came here for some quick sushi after work. When we walked in the hostess did not acknowledge our presence. After standing there for some time we greeted her to make ourselves present. She replied with«Yeah?». We explained we wanted a table for two outside. She says that there are less tables outside than usual today and we will have to wait for them to clean. We agree and say we’ll go wait outside. After waiting somewhere around 10 minutes, a couple walked in. Said couple then gets sat on a table outside 35 seconds after they walk into the restaurants. Seriously? They get sat down immediately after we’ve been waiting? We catch the attention of another hostess who sat down the other couple and angrily ask why we were not sat. She simply says that she didn’t talk to us, she didn’t know, and it wasn’t her fault. So she just ran inside claiming she would get us a table. We stood up and left. There’s no reason whatsoever why these people have to be so uncaring and nonchalant about their service. I’ve come to this place several times since it’s close to my boyfriends house but it’s simply not worth it. Service is always terrible, they take long, all servers seem to be annoyed of existing, not even annoyed because they don’t like their job. That’s something that further exacerbates their anger. I don’t recommend anyone ever step into this place. Go to another Sushi sake, like the one on 40th.

Horrible horrible customer service. Food is amazing, but I’ve given this place way too many chances and the service just gets worse and worse. Not going back ever again. The servers DON’T care about their customers, take their time socializing with other coworkers and its just flat out rude and infuriating. Its just a waste of money tipping these people, I’m sorry to be harsh. But its true. Oh and Pizza Hut delivers faster than this place. No matter what time of day you call, it takes 1 hour and a half to deliver. I think I’ve waited almost 2 hours one time. I just dont waste my time or money on this place anymore. The prices and setting of this place is not complemented by the service and its a real shame.

Okay, so this has to be the worst customer service not only from the staff but the manager actually doesn’t even care about the customers. The sushi is good don’t get me wrong but of course over priced.

I went to this place for the first time about 3 years ago and did not like it. Decided to give it another go recently and was very happy I was open for a second round. Good quality sushi and best of all they close very late at night(or early morning, depending how you look at it), so I’ll be frequenting it more often after-hours.

I love this place. The fried rice tastes like the Hibachi fried rice from Samurai. My favorite rolls here are the Angel Roll, and the Miami Heat roll which are both on their happy hour menu which is from 4−7pm. The place is very clean, and very nice. The cheesy 90’s music videos is the only tacky part about the decorum, but if you have a good sense of humor, they can be very entertaining. More importantly, the food is fresh and delicious, the staff is attentive, and there’s a ton of locations around South Florida.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. For some reason I thought it was just a typical hole in the wall sushi place, but it seems their menu had larger variety than I gave it credit for. I went during lunch and opted to order off their lunch menu. Prices were fair and they had some good options. I got a vegetable fried rice and the Miami Heat roll. The fried rice was outstanding! Once of the best hibachi fried rices I have had before. I would definitely get it again. As for the sushi, I thought it was decent but not my favorite. It wasn’t the fault of the restaurant, I just don’t think it was what I was expecting. I’ll be back again. They also have a hidden little outdoor seating area with fans and a light mist for those hot Miami days. Definite consideration points!

Had the dragon, Miami Heat Roll and shrimp tempura roll. They were excellent and very good. The service was wonderful. Had a good time and experience at Sushi Saki with my girl Lynnette. Went to the restroom and was in awe. They have a tv over the toilet and river rocks in the sink. Loving it!!!

This review is not based solely on the service, or the cleanliness of the restaurant, it’s not about décor or even the price people often complain about. This review is solely based on the magnificence of the genius who invented the Calle Ocho Roll and to me this creative genius deserves a 5! It’s like my dream came to fruition and it’s all encompassed in this Asian roll with a Spanish twist. We are talking ham croquettes, avocado and asparagus topped with sweet plantains, eel sauce and potato sticks; so yeah its really far out to call it sushi but who cares– it’s still awesome! Some may dispute it’s not authentic to its origins or that its pricey or too cool– but for my likes– it’s just what I need when I can’t decide whether to eat Cuban food or sushi– Why allow the mind to struggle? Save the energy and eat a hybrid of the two! Sushi Sake is hip and trendy… a chic version of your traditional idea of a sushi restaurant and the type of place you go into and feel cool. They play music videos, they have flat screens, the waiters/waitresses are all young cutie patooties and the drinks and rolls are modern twists on anything and everything appealing and delicious. The roll is definitely a favorite for me regardless of the good/bad experience. I’ve come multiple times and if service is shaky, I just close my eyes and focus on my roll and savoring every bite!
