Whoa!!! — that pretty much sums up my experience here. The food, service, drinks, ambiance was incredible. I was brought here for lunch by some close friends of mine while I was in Miami for a project. We got here just in time for the pig(that’s my picture of the pig… lol). The food worth it. We also had tres leche cake and topped it off with some Cuban coffee. I was in food heaven. Must check out if in Miami.

Nice place! My favorite, the chicharrones! So good. Very similar to the Venezuelan ones. I go at least twice a month to buy it

I have been here with my coworkers last two times. I loved their food a lot. There are variety menu and most of them are so good. Waitress was so nice and friendly, she came to our table every 15 minutes to make sure if it was ok. I have to come back more often to support them. High recommended

They are specialize in fried pork, so fresh and delicious. Crunchy and smell so good. You have to try. Also, there is a relax outside seat that we can enjoy our meals.

Amazing food!!! Delicious!!! I would definitely go back for the food. I wish I could have given them a 5star review but my server Sandra was the worst server I have ever had. I should have known because to take my order was a 5−10min wait and then she never came back to my table(20min after I was done with my food my server was no where to be found). Then another waitress came and helped me. But overall great food for take out!

Don’t Don’t ever drive past this restaurant without stopping, my gosh the food is just incredible. The place is spotlessly clean. The staff is super friendly, and the food… No words to describe. I wish that they had a place like this in my town.

After leaving the Miami airport I was hungry so I stumbled upon this place after a quick search. Getting here is pretty simple and parking is only a step away from the entrance. When you’re seated a waitress drops off a bread basket with chicharrones(pork rinds) inside, complimentary on the house. After checking in on Unilocal we claimed our glass of wine and ordered away. All things pork and more, the menu is chalked full of options to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. I order the Lechon Asado with a side of veggies, the flavor was good but was very dry for my taste. The waitress brought out some chimichurri which helped a little but next time I probably wouldn’t order that. What caught my eye was the Caja China Lechon but it’s on select days, so I got stuck ordering something I thought was similar but is clearly of a different realm… Till next time!

The talk of great Pan con Lechón by family members piqued an interest in this restaurant. So finally the opportunity came for a few of us Puerco-goers! This pig-out joint is located on 58th street, easily accessible from the Palmetto(sorry but no Turnpike exit). You are greeted with a nicely designed exterior, good business signage font lettering, and various outdoor furniture to enjoy the outdoors. Once inside, you are immediately greeted by a happy pig on the floor as well as a cute pig wooden statue. A good way to make you feel at ease! Since we arrived for a late Sunday lunch(March 13th2pmish, seating was almost immediate. While I waited for the remainder of our party to arrive, the staff brought a bread basket but not the typical kind! Yes bread was on top but lurking underneath were Chicharrones! Delighted, I passed on the bread and immediately began snacking on those. Mmmm The rest of family arrived, we placed our orders and proceeded to wait a very long time. So much so that while the thought popped into my head, one of us at the table said«what’s taking so long, are they prepping a pig out back??). Good thing the wait was shortly over after that since I was just about to ask management. It was not even really that busy to justify the long wait time. Onto the food. Great presentation but I did notice a big discrepancy between my ‘Grande’ Pan con lechon, vs. my niece’s ‘Regular’ sandwhich at just $ 2 less. Mine was jam packed full of lechon with two sandwiches on my plate while her single sandwich had 50% less lechon. Later tge next day I showed the picture to those that recommended the place and they say my niece got shortchanged. Flavor, here we go, I’m expecting a great epic flavor burst but instead am greeted with a subdued yummy flavor. Hints of flavor around but missing that BAM of mojo or juiciness. It was good don’t get me wrong, but not what was hyped to be. Perhaps it was rushed out after the long wait? The staff was courteous, including what glass of red wine I would like that came along with ‘checking in’ and surprisingly presented a well filled glass of Malbec. Kudos! Other items of interest to note from their menu is a Tenderloin Thailandes. A Whaaat? Thailand-like spices in a Latin house? Cool, I’m intrigued! Oh and also am interested about what the Unilocal community had said about asking for the Caja China special. Apparently pork from the Caja china is way better than the regular pork sandwich? Hope it has that more of a mojo home flavor l would enjoy on Noche Buena. Cheers!

When I get a hankering for good Cuban food, something that shouldn’t be hard but is, this is usually on the top of my list when I’m in the area. Any place that has a big pig on their logo wins in my book! Not only is it in their logo, it’s in their basket full of chicharones that comes to the table before you even order, that totally wins! My usual go-to here is the fried pork chunks with moros rice and boiled yuca but all their food is consistently good and the portions are large. So large I can’t eat dinner after eating lunch here, so come hungry or be prepared to take the rest home. Word of warning: this place is popular during lunch hours! Parking can be difficult but totally worth the effort.

Pork gods have blessed this place. Best food ever if your a fan of moist roasted pork. Beans are great too. Only issue with this place is lunch time parking.

Pedí el pan con lechón y estaba espectacular. El lechón estaba jugoso y con pedacitos de chicharrón. Y a buen precio. Lo recomiendo FULL.

Ordered catering for my job’s Christmas lunch. Placed the order online for a 12:30 delivery. They arrived at my job 30 minutes early which was great. The food was really good. I ordered chicken churrasco, traditional lechon. moros, yuca, maduro, arroz co gandule and a big flan! Everything was delicious!

This place was recommended by a coworker and it didn’t disappoint. The pork was beautifully cooked… tender, juicy and full of flavor. The fried plantains were amazing… this was the first time I had fried plantains that rocked. Highly recommended.

Located on NW58th Street, La Esquina del Lechon seems to be the place for lunch around this area. I am not sure if this is Doral or Hialeah, but it has a very strong Hialeah feel to me. Before I get sidetracked, let me talk about La Esquina del Lechon. First of all, this place is always packed for lunch. Oh! Wait. Did I say I went on a Thursday, the day they roast a whole pig? Actually, several whole pigs? Yes, La Esquina del Lechon roasts whole pigs on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and if you plan to go, make sure to bring a lot of patience. To begin with, parking is insane. You may have to do a few rounds and park on the grass, or in the back of the building with the delivery trucks. All of this while people are driving the wrong way and going crazy. Not even your fake handicap decal will save you on this one. Good thing is, after you find parking, things smooth out considerably. You will be seated promptly, but your table may not be the best table. You may have to squeeze in one of those café type tables where nothing fits. Hey! At least you can place your order and have something to eat. Service is good and the food comes to the table fairly quickly. To make the wait enjoyable, the bread service includes chicharrones(yes, you read right, chicharrones). Saying this bread service is awesome is unnecessary. Since I was there for the roasted pig, well, that is what I ordered. Let me just say that it is a lot of pork, enough for two people. You may consider splitting it and ordering an extra side, or two. About the pork, it was very good, savory enough to come back. Not the best ever, but certainly one of the best in town. Taking into consideration that finding a really good roasted pork, with Cuban seasonings, is hard to find, this place may do it for me. Everything else was pretty good also. This place is very traditional and there is not much to rave about, but it still is a nice source of inspiration for those who are trying to relive memories. It is redundant to say but I am going to say it anyway, but nobody roasts a whole hog for only one family. No, roasting a pig is a big celebration, and La Esquina del Lechon caters specifically to that, to your memories of family gatherings and parties. It is also much more feasible and economic. The menu has variety, by the way. They serve sandwiches, salads, steaks, pork in many different ways, even BBQ. It is a good place to stop by, without a doubt. Next time I come I may just order take out and use the tables outside, the weather permitting. I may also just drive home, why not?

I have never had venezuealan food and this place did not dissapoint. The service was very friendly and food was excellent. We had an appetizer that i cant recall the name but i will post pics. I also had ribs with guava bbq sauce after reading reviews here abot how good they were and they were correct fall off the bone excellent taste. I even bought some sauce to bring home. My husband is a very picky eater He had the fried pork he loved the pork but wasnt crazy about the sauce. The service was great I dont speak spanish and had a little difficulty communicating with the 1st waitress. I did not complain but I think she felt the same way because she sent the owner to the table to serve us who was much more fluent in english.

Unfortunately my experience with the food is not the greatest so I’ll stick with the positive! Strictly coffee review: I stopped by for coffee the first time two weeks ago and I was blown away. There is nothing that Starbucks could do to top the hot latte at this place. Just make a quick stop by the window and ask for a hot latte and sit by the patio to dream away. If you are a coffee drinker, you’ll appreciate a good brew here. Enjoy!

Out of this world!!! Pig roast every Thursday is well worth marking your calendar for. This place specializes in pork meals, and the locals know it as it is busy and fresh. If you are ready to cast a few pearls, this is the place… Friendly attentive staff, decent prices for quality food. I will, sin duda, return for more…
