Aki Japanese Buffet

the place was clean the sushi was great the waitress was super friendly and the price was more than reasonable, 2 adults and 1 child x 41 dollars

One great trick is to pick up take-​out at a buffet restaurant. In this case you need separate containers for the sushi and other food which seems inefficient. Food quality was pretty meh today, in the future I will stick to weekdays when there is more turnover.

My review of Aki… well its your typical Japanese buffet except for the sliced squid, that was different. $ 19.99 for dinner is not a bad price at all. The selection of ice cream was great.
Would I come back, well if I was in the area and looking for a cheap filling meal, yes.
At 6 pm on a Saturday, the place was empty. By the time we left at 8, the place had filled up.
The interior is decorated nicely and does have tvs on the wall. The staff was friendly.

I thought it was good, went with my sushi meet up group. It wasn’t as packed but I gather it’s packed during lunch. Sushi nicely presented and also loved the broccoli and chicken and the pepper steak.

What more can you ask for in a Japanese buffet? Nothing! Great service, food, atmosphere, and price! $ 11.95 lunch buffet YUM!
They have any sushi you can wish plus a few extras like gyoza, spring rolls, fresh fruits, rice of course :)

I come here often because it’s close to work. It’s not the best sushi buffet I’ve been to but it’s good enough to eat here regularly. They’ve got a good selection of sushi, the tempura is always cold and soggy but their rolls and nigiri are ok. The hibachi station is my favorite option and the main reason I return to this establishment. Sometimes the sushi chefs will leave take forever to refill their stations. It a decent place. Enough to not give it a negative review but not good enough for the 5 star. I’m hungry now. I want some sushi.

Good for a sushi buffet. Better than Ichiban, They offer soups and dessert. 3 stars because of the seaweed salad, the worse I ever have, but so far so good.

Doral needed another sushi buffet and glad I found it. Place is quite nice, kind of your typical sushi buffet bar. Parking is located in a small shopping center in front, but it was not an issue for dinner.
My dad and I got sat right away. Restaurant was pretty empty, but then again not many places are packed on a Monday night. We both approached the buffet area upon arrival, and I was blown away by the amount of sushi selections they had. Lots of options and many sushis I have not seen in other restaurants in a while. They also had a wide selection of sashimi and other kinds of food such as fried rice, soups, fries, hibachi and even dessert!
The taste of the sushis were good. I’ve definitely had better, but I can’t really complain and I know what to expect in buffet styles. The most important thing is that there was a wide variety of everything, and service was great.
The price wasn’t too bad either. For the quality of food, décor, location and convenience, I would say it’s worth it and I would definitely come again when 12 rolls just isn’t enough at any other restaurant.

Love this place, sushi is on point, sometimes the hibachi is bland but add the sauces and it makes it really good. I go at least once a week for lunch and I always enjoy it. Service is quick

They do offer real seafood for lunch which is better than most places of this class. fried clams, steamed fish, shrimp done more than 1 way… and for a decent price… can’t complain!
of course dinner can be better but if lunch is the rock bottom then there’s no way to go but UP!

Budget type restaurant, you get what you pay for, but still better than Ichiban.

This is not the world’s greatest sushi. It’s not even the world’s greatest buffet line sushi, but it is good enough and varied enough that I would consider returning in the future. There are quite a few options here and while nothing was particularly outstanding, nothing was bad either. In fact, I would describe the food here overall as «pretty good.» For a buffet in Doral (especially of the Asian variety), that’s a win. Service is quick and friendly and the prices are good. Like I said, if I were back in the area and looking for this type of food, I would definitely consider a return visit.

The sushi is usually filled and everything looks pretty fresh. The only reason I didn’t rate them 5 stars is because the buffet of hot food is always missing items.
And the hibachi grill is awesome!!!

Times the waitresses even remember which yes! Can be to much to ask for but they manage making you feel like you are valued as a customer.

Craving amazing sushi? Very hungry? Well this is the place ;p I find Aki to be the best sushi buffet in Doral! The sushi is extremely fresh, the variety of rolls, and sushi goes on and on, and if u’r craving other Japanese dishes… Well they got u covered! Not to mention the dessert bar has just as much variety!
But the best is the price!!! Who can top lunch at $ 10.95+tax for all you can eat sushi and more? Don’t know of too many places so definitely this is a must-​try!

This place initially started out pretty good but as with all good things in Miami, it’s now mostly mediocre and bland.
The rolls are small, some are dried out, fish doesn’t look so fresh and inviting.
There are quite a bit of «cooked» rolls to choose from, so if that’s your thing then have at it.
I’m not basing this review on one visit, I have gone a few times just to see if my previous visit was an off day.
It’s a shame since the location was convenient and the restaurant looks great but sadly the beauty is only skin deep.

I give this place three and a half stars. The moment you walk in you don’t get that sticky feeling and the walls are not greasy. The place looks nicely decorated, it’s double the size of Ichiban buffet but probably the same amount of food selection.
We came in at 5:30 on a Thursday for dinner and there wasn’t a lot of people, so the food were ehh… It wasn’t hot and I knew it was probably the left over from lunch. If you want to eat here, don’t come exactly when they open, come later.
The oysters didn’t taste so fresh and the snow crab didn’t snap so well. They didn’t have hot sauce for the oysters only sriracha sauce. The only thing I enjoyed was probably the miso soup, ice cream, and the hibachi grill.
It cost us $ 17.95 per adult. I would not drive out of my way for this place, overall it’s OK nothing spectacular.

If you’ve read my reviews you know I’m not into buffets. You might also know I lived in the Netherlands.
The Dutch have a skewed idea about the land they still call «Oriental.» Instead of the generic American hot and sour, there is a sweet and spicy «Mandarin tomato soup.» There is always an ubiquitous cold bar with smoked fish and bizarre chicken of the sea rolls.
But where the Dutch smack down the American Chinese buffet institution is the ever-​present hibachi grill. Anything you want – lamb, fish, shrimp, noodles. Every time we’d go I’d leave ten pounds heavier.
And this place has the same pleasure and fat-​inducing grill tucked right in the back of the buffet.
Can you hear that? That’s angels singing.
Lunch is only $ 10.95 AYCE. If they can keep up this quality at this price it’s definitely a place to watch.
