Sadly it’s a great location, steps from the river and has a casual, fun vibe. Went for lunch and one order was a burger, medium rare with just bacon, pickles and ketchup, and no fries. The order came out well done with lettuce, tomato, onions and fries(which is how is listed on the menu). When we mentioned there was no bacon, the waitress apologized and after we finished our lunch, a second waitress appeared with a piece of bacon on a dish, which we said no thanks. We ordered sliders that were overcooked and the rolls were burned. Bad enough that the food was overcooked and not to order, the service was TERRIBLE. We were the only table inside, and outside there was a table of three so it’s not as if the place was crowded. Once our order was taken, no one came to see if we needed refills or if everything was okay. I could not recommend this place in good conscience.

Love the outside view. The über pretzel is amazing. Good beer selection. Happy hour starts at 4 and goes until 10!

Checked this place out last night. The place was friendly, cool atmosphere. The food was pretty good, however they mostly didn’t have the starters that I wanted, and the dessert was NOTGOOD. It was pretty expensive also, wouldn’t come back

Casual place by the hudson river and steps from the Dobbs Ferry train station, this place offers both outdoor and indoor seating. We caught an early dinner and a couple of drinks here during sunset. The cowboy burger was really nice and sumptuous but the appetizers were a bit underwhelming. Drinks were OK. Would probably visit again for the great views of the river.

This place is amazing! The bartenders get to you right away, the music was pumping, and the food was great. I even had a chance to speak to the owners who were complete sweethearts! I definitely recommend this place! It has an amazing view and definitely a spot to hit up in the summer!

I’ve been here multiple times only due to location. If I knew a synonym for overpriced with a stronger meaning I would use it. Consistently the service is horrendously slow. Takes so long just to get an appetizer. Took 30 minutes to get 5 undercooked polly-o mozzarella sticks! If the soup of the day is potato and leek, expect leaked potatoes in dish water.

Waited an hour just to get drinks at our table, 120 mins later food wasn’t there. Finally one app made it to our table. The steak tid bits. And they were truly little bits. They couldnt have been any smaller and were about he size of a slice of peperonni. I thought it was a joke. After waiting forever and being served something a 6 grader might defrost after school, it was time to go. Worst dining experience in years. If you want to drink a beer there im sure its fine. Will not be returning.

Went there on an evening with my boyfriend. What made us give this place four stars was the entertainer playing acoustic guitar for the night. He Played 90s music and we liked it! He was at the top playing and asked for any song requests. Chill lounge and place to grab a casual bite. Very dim light, we liked that. It was a bit cold and they had little fan heaters but when another table came in, they took the heater and moved it to their direction; rude. So it was just a bit chilly that I had to keep my jacket on. I’d love to come back to this place when I know there will be someone playing and have some drinks.

We frequently attend Hudson social each weekend and love the service that they provide. Also the recent changes to the menu have been great, the tacos are excellent and the baby kale salad happens to be my personal favorite with a touch of extra hardiness by adding grilled chicken and shrimp. The drinks are delicious and they have a huge selection. Saturdays are awesome because they always provide amazing entertainment and awesome DJs, and the crowd is always dancing and having a ball. I can’t wait to have my next party there in April! I highly recommend it!

Came here for a DJ on Sat night. Definitely a fun time but this place has a few kinks to work out. After locating the tap handles up on the wall, instead of on the actual taps, I order a Blue Moon. The keg dies and I get a cup of beer that’s ½ foam from the bartender who thinks he’s in the hottest club in Manhattan and not Dobbs Ferry. Thanks. Go up to get 2 Coronas later, ask for limes, and I’m told they’re out. Really, you ran out limes? So the same bartender hands me two lemon slices cuz he can’t be bothered to put them in the bottles himself. On the next visit to the bar I order 2 Heinekens and I’m told they’re out. Come on. They also ran out of ice at one point. So maybe it’s a good HH spot but they’ve got some things to work out for busier nights.

I agree with most other reviews. I’m only giving stars for the location and the cool concept. The place only has 12 parking spaces reserved for patrons so good luck with that. When I was there on a quite summer early afternoon only 2 spots were open so imagine you chances of grabbing one of those on a Friday in the fall after during the evening rush. The food is bland and unimaginative. Most of the staff not all are completely clue less if you have a question. The place just has this feel of being disorganized and lost. It’s really sad because the place has such awesome potential. And unfortunately like many bars in Westchester they think they’re in Manhattan and can charge similar prices. It’s mind blowing.

I decided to review Hudson Social again to share my experience about a place that is a true social experience! I’ve been here more than a dozen times since it opened about nine months ago. I will come for simply drinks with friends and most often for dinner. I’ve «SOCIAL’d» for breakfast and lunch but most often, for drinks and dinner. First of all, the outdoor tables and beautiful view of the Hudson is not to be beat. Given the affordable menu, where else can you have such an experience on a beautiful day or evening? The food: Apps.my wife and I love to share the dates wrapped in prosciutto with Gorgonzola and the bruschetta sampler(which comes with 2 pcs of prosciutto/fig honey/goat cheese and 2 pcs of prosciutto with mozzarella tomato and basil). Both are simply amazing! When we come for drinks with friends, we often order the baked kale and sweet potato chips as well as the three cheese platter with flatbreads to complement our cocktails. Entrees and sandwiches: we often share an entrée salad… they are huge… and One of their signature sandwiches. My favorite is the turkey with green apple, bacon, fontina cheese, and cranberry aioli on chiabata bread. My favorite salad is something called the last stop which is a sliced hanger steak with arugula and lots of other stuff. My wife loves the Cobb salad with chicken. The food is what you would expect to find at a haute cuisine top quality formal restaurant but at less than half the cost. Desserts: on the rare occasions that we have had dessert. normally too full after food and drinks. I’ve enjoyed The Reese’s peanut butter brownie which we top with gelato. All the coffees are good with many espressos offered. The small espresso is delicious and only $ 2.75. Drinks: WOW! there are specials every day and all summer long they’ve had $ 5 margaritas… including the frozen type that my wife loves. They take their bartending seriously. The Moscow Mule is served properly in a copper cup. Keeping it chilled to the last drop! Cait and all the bartendersare creative and friendly. By the way, if it is too hot outside, go inside the Social for a cool«retro but now» vibe. PS. I’ve read some of the other reviews. If you are planning to come here to grab something very quickly and leave, I would not recommend that. Come here to chill and have some drinks. It is not meant to be for a grab and go type of experience. If you are looking for an evening with your date or with a group of friends, this is the joint!

Fabulous scenic views in the Hudson in Dobbs Ferry. My favorite dishes the Mediterranean Platter(Hummus, olive tapenade & pita), signature Hanger steak sandwich, YUM!

Service was good and servers were attentive My son really loved watching the trains go by. My only complaint is that for the nearly $ 20 I paid for my fig salad, I should have gotten fresh figs and not dried ones that tasted funny. Oh, and try the über pretzel!

Stars for location only. I was the ONLY person inside, with 3 tables outside and the service was absolutely terrible. I saw each waiter eat an entire meal and wash it down with a drink before someone came over to take my order. Club sandwich was fine but for just a sandwich and a small side of coleslaw, definitely not worth the price. My iced tea was barely flavored water and it took ages to get some lemon and sugar to go with it. I couldn’t get out of their fast enough but I had to wait for my waiter to finish his meal, prep his iced coffee and take a few sips before I could get the check.

We were visiting my brother in law and having stopped by Harvest only to be turned away due to a private party, went here thinking we can get a quick burger fix. I thought, «hey, pretty cool, a bar and restaurant at a train station» What a great idea! It would have been better if the food was better. The drinks were fine(I had tap so I wouldn’t know– yay pregnancy– but was told by the hubs and sister in law the wine was fine) but the food… let’s just say it’s much less than what was expected for a place that was so packed and busy. My sister in law had a burger which she couldn’t finish because it lacked flavor. The hubs had a prosciutto pesto panini that had salami and no pesto and I had two different types of bruschetta that I ate because I really needed sustenance. Oh and we ordered the artisanal chips that took longer than our food to come out… and it was out of a bag. Great place for drinks to wind out as you hop off the Amtrack but not a good choice for food.

I love the concept. My waitress Yolanda was great. I really didn’t eat my food see my pictures and comments. She gave me a dessert to go with the check. She also took my sandwich off the bill. I liked the ambience and I think the idea is great so I will be back for drinks and explore the menu a little more. The place is friendly for kids and here in Dobbs with have lots of kids. A children’s menu or a few kid friendly meals add it to the menu would be nice. Next time this could be 4 starts for now thank Yolanda for these 2. Thank you!
