Sweetest strawberries I’ve ever had in my life. current price: 3 baskets for $ 6 Cash only! Location is off the highway exit next to a gas station. Stop and go kind of small fruit stand. There’s many of these kind of fruit stands in the vicinity of Davis/Woodland/Dixon area!

This is one of those instances where it’s difficult to gauge how good these berries are without trying a basket. Or six. Ever bought a basket of strawberries that look red on the top but once you get past those, they’re all white? Kinda disappointing. Doesn’t happen here. Red, ripe sweet berries the whole way through. Prices change with the season– $ 2.50/basket today. p. s. no, I’m not related to these folks. I just like the berries.

Seng Saelee sells some seriously sugary strawberries! We stopped at this stand after filling our tank at the gas station next door. I love small produce stands because of the freshness and quality. I bought some strawberries, a couple elephant garlics, and some sweet potatoes. In retrospect, I should have used some of the water they offered to clean off one of the strawberries and taken a bite. Had I done so I probably would have bought every berry they had left! Every delicious berry. They were perfectly sweet and moist! Probably the best berry I’ve ever had, aside from growing them in my own front yard. Even my produce market(with amazing, fresh produce) had nothing on these. If you’re driving by, STOP and get some. The prices are low and the quality is high. The elephant garlic was also amazing — wish I saw this more often. I use a million cloves of garlic every time I cook anyhow, just a couple of these babies would be so much more convenient.

This stand is right off the side of the road into Gas and Shop by highway 80. It is a small family-owned stand so the prices are listed by hand, their English is fairly limited and they are cash only. The ONLY reason why I’m listing this stand is so they can get more exposure since they work so hard. This is my secret stand that I’ve been going to for years to get strawberries. Every time the strawberries have been sweet and they always smell so good! They tend to be small but they pile up their baskets. Sometimes they sell bing cherries, boysenberries, blackberries, or select veggies. I always tip them as well because of their hard work. Pricing for Produce on 6÷1÷2014 Strawberries: $ 2 per basket /$ 5 for 3 baskets /$ 10 for half a flat /$ 19 for a flat Blackberries: $ 2.50 per basket /$ 7 for 3 baskets Blueberries: $ 3 per basket /$ 17 for half a flat Cherries: $ 2.75 per basket /$ 5 small /$ 7 medium /$ 9 large Walnuts: $ 3.50 Garlic: $ 1 Onion: $ 1 Honey: $ 7.50 My usual order: 3 strawberry baskets for $ 5 I usually finish a basket in a couple of hours. Just be sure to wash the fruit thoroughly before you eat them because they literally just pick them and put the berries in the baskets so sometimes there are small bugs from the fields.
