Really a 4.5. The sushi was really good. Only reason it’s not a five is because I thought the sushi had a little too much rice in it. The taste was really good though. Also, I had the pot stickers and the edamame, and they were delicious! The atmosphere was quiet, and this is definitely a local place. If you’re looking for a great local sushi place trying to avoid the packed feel and rush of a more popular place, we would suggest Hana’s. We will return!

I wasn’t sure when we entered into the restaurant if this was going to be any good. The place is dingy, as I read in other Unilocal, but knew what I was getting into. We sat at the tables against the wall, they were sticky. They use bleach to clean them and the bleach has now had a reaction with the stain that once covered the table. So we moved to the table in the center. The menu was quite extensive with great pictures. I love CA roll so thought I’d start with that. It wasn’t that good. I also ordered Sashimi but only wanted Ahi tuna, the waitress didn’t know what I was talking about. What I got was ahi tuna over rice, so I just took it off the rice. My nephew ordered the Jalapeño pepper and the lion king, both were soooo good. The experience turned out to be a good one after all. Just not a good place for CA roll.

Hands down, this is my favorite sushi place. The restaurant itself isn’t anything special, but their rolls are delicious and very reasonably priced. We’ve gone several times. There usually is a bit of a wait between when you order and get your food. You can also call food in for pick up if you’re in a rush.

I’ve always been a Mikuni girl but now that I moved to Dixon I wanted to try the local spot. I REALLY enjoyed the food and dining experience. The owner Tom is great and was also the sushi chef. It wasn’t loud and crowded like Mikuni and had a nice casual, easy going feel to it. Service was quick, food was great and the bill was delightfully lower than my typical sushi dinner bill. I ordered the Hana Signature roll and it was a great blend of flavors and fresh fish and topped with a generous portion of DF soft shell crab. I was quite impressed.

Good quality food. Had a couple roles and the fried tofu. The place needs a little facelift, but overall the staff and food are very nice.

Stood outside for 20 minutes waiting for them to open. If you can’t open at 3 then don’t say you open at 3.

This place is AMAZING. The food is good. The service was quick and the server was great. No complaints. 5 stars because of how awesome everything was. The sushi and the sushi rolls are very well presented and they taste awesome too. You wouldn’t expect this place to be so promising based on its location but this place is a definite must-try if you’re in the area. I especially enjoyed the Shrek roll!

I have eaten here a couple of times and after the last visit, that was the last time. First of all I found a hair in my bento box and I let the waitress know she didn’t seem to care and still charged me. So that pissed me off and then as we were walking out there were roaches all over floor in kitchen and on hall way floor. This is very concerning as they own one in Vacaville which I have eaten at but if they can’t keep Dixon clean how clean is Vacaville!!! I’m so disappointed as I really liked this place.

Shrek Roll was good. Very high quality crab on top, and their specialty is scallions and spicy mayo. The Suzie Q Roll was OK. Seemed interesting because it had Inari and Tamago, which I love as nigiri. It was not that flavorful as a roll. Enjoyed the warm Edamame. Very fast and friendly service.

We really love this place and have eaten there and had take out many times. It’s great to have a good Japanese restaurant in Dixon. The vegetarian(The Vegetin) tempura roll is by far my favorite — although I’ve learned to order it without the sauce. It is normally served with a citrisy orange sauce that I’m not fond of but they are happy to make it for me without the sauce. This is a delicious roll stuffed with crispy vegetable tempura and the contrast of rice and crispy tempura is excellent. Another big favorite of mine is the seaweed salad — a nice portion of seaweed tossed in a light and not overpowering sauce which lets the flavor of the seaweed come through. I get this dish every time. Their tempura udon soup is o.k. the broth was a bit too salty for my taste but it was served nice and hot with plentiful noodles and a delectable selection of vegetable tempura on the side. Since we live close by we usually order take out. The restaurant is cozy with booths and a counter for seating where you can watch the chefs make your meal.

Food is good but not the service. We had our check thrown at us and came home with cold to go food after seeing it sit on a table for a long time before we got it. Second bad experience with the service… Again food is good.

Since I always pass by this place whenever my friends and I go to Moyo Moyo(the Korean restaurant right next door), I naturally had to try this place as well. I came here on a Saturday night and this place was not at all filled. Plus because we didn’t have to wait to be seated at all. In terms of décor wise, I really like that it’s so open and not overcrowded like other sushi restaurants. It also had a nice casual atmosphere as well. Service was mediocre, not bad and not exceptional either. Food wise. I don’t know many other sushi restaurants in Dixon, but I think this place was just alright in comparison to other sushi restaurants around the area(Sacramento). We ordered the 24 piece sashimi platter(which came with 2 bowls of rice, 2 salads, 2 soups), Orange Blossom roll, Lion King roll, Crazy Horse roll, and the Shogun roll. The rice was a little too mushy for my liking. The rolls themselves were all mediocre only. The Lion King, while good, was not as impressive as other restaurants; it was also kind of small. If you like raw fish, I highly recommend the Crazy Horse as they stuff a lot of raw fish in there. Out of all the rolls, I liked the Shogun the most. They did not skimp on the softshell crab and the sauce on top made it very flavorful. The Orange Blossom wasn’t anything too special.(The salad was good though). The sashimi platter came with 6 types of different fish(4 pieces each). Overall, they were pretty generous pieces, but they all tasted very frozen and not as fresh as other places. Overall, Hana Sushi is not a bad restaurant but it also wasn’t exceptionally good either. I wouldn’t mind coming here again, but I would prefer other sushi places first.

The sushi is so good … I was told that the secret is in their family rice recipe. I have been there twice the first time I was in the area I thought it was because I was tired and hungry from a day at Six Flags I wish the floors were not as sticky as the rice.

I love this place. It’s a perfect low key hole in the wall type place. But the sushi chefs are artists and more talented then they look. Easy location. Clean. Nothing special but the food is worth it. Every time I come here I say I’ll take pictures but forget it’s that good. I always get a Godzilla roll! It’s like sex in your mouth. And every bite is like an orgasm over and over. Omg. So yummy. I wish I was cool with the owner he apparently makes some bomb stuff for the regulars.

I love this place! The food and staff are awesome. My wife and I come here often and we always feel welcomed like family. We take all of our friends and family here. The owner takes pride in his sushi and makes his own sauces, fixings and specialty rolls. You must try it.

This review is only based on the food(we had family bring us back the sushi since we weren’t able to go). We requested three rolls: the shrek, godzilla and Rena roll. The godzilla sauce was good and the rena roll was good. The topping on the shrek roll tasted dry and fishy(as if they’ve had the topping for awhile). I could not find a link for a menu, I went by pictures and what seemed most popular. I would say the food is okay.

This place was not bad, we had the sushi boat, altho it was pretty expensive compared to other restaurants, the rolls were good. I wish they had more unagi nigiri and rolls. The sashimi did not seem too fresh and did not like most of the nigiri. My friend ordered udon and she said the noodles were not fresh and were too tough. Service was nice, but wish they had happy hour or specials.
