Ordered food to go as my wife and I were tired and we wanted to quickly eat and sack out. I placed the order on the phone. The food took about 30 minutes and they butchered my name but that’s not really an issue. My issue was that our food was cold. The flavor was great, but for what I payed I expected the food to be warm at least. If you get food from this location, eat there, don’t take it out. I won’t lie, I was highly disappointed.

Was pleasantly surprised to discover CB still open, as we stopped at 10:20, they are open until 11! Even though we were almost the last couple there, everything was delicious and the staff was great. I was expecting to be rushed and receive lackluster service and food. Not the case. I thought the Dickson Cracker Barrel was great an deserved a shout out.

I haven’t eaten at a Cracker Barrel in over 20 years and I was really looking forward to having dinner on the way back from Memphis. The service was decent but most of the food was terrible. The chicken and dumplings looked like mystery meat and the salad looked like it was pulled out of the dumpster. The only good thing they had going on was their Mac n cheese.

Note to self: Next time, get there BEFORE the tour bus does! Actually, I don’t expect speed from Cracker Barrel, but they do a pretty good job of moving people through the restaurant. The food is always good, and I appreciate getting real butter and real maple syrup with my pancakes, unlike most other breakfast places. And the servers are always friendly and helpful.

I have been eating here during long car trips since I was young. This place has it all and it’s good I have good and bad service at different locations but while traveling to Texas we stopped at this location for dinner and the service was very good.

I travel across I 40 twice a year and stop at Cracker Barrel restaurants for nearly every meal. This location consistently has the best tasting food bar none. In general, Cracker Barrels in Tennessee tend to be outstanding, but I have always enjoyed the quality and taste of the food at the Dickson location.

Very friendly service, quick enough. Some of the silverware was dirty. I was starving and ordered a breakfast meal for my dinner. None of my meal was hot. Nor was my son’s. The gravy for the biscuits was so thick, cold and congealed I could have turned the dish over and nothing would have dripped out! Bacon was much too greasy. I think that’s probably the first time I’ve left bacon almost entirely uneaten at Cracker Barrel. My cheese scrambled eggs, although not hot, were still good. Grits were edible once salt, pepper and butter were added. Barely warm though. The most disappointing was the hashbrown casserole. Cold, hard and burny. Bummer. I haven’t had a good experience at any Cracker Barrel in years, But, the friendly staff and clean bathroom earned this location three stars.

Our hostess was friendly and welcoming, as we seated our server, «Dallas» was very informative and helped me to choose my meal, gave us corn bread muffin and biscuits. I was really happy with everything until we got our chicken tender plates, the portion was small and the chicken was a little dry. Ones again the service, exceptional but the food was just ok.

Great service. Breakfast special really tasty. Waitress waited and brought us hot cinnamon muffin. Kept the coffee coming too. Thanks to all for starting our day off happy. And full.

Enjoyed lunch with the family. Stopped at this restaurant as we traveled home. Parking lot was full. But, surprisingly, our Party of 8 was sat at a table in 10 minutes. Server was friendly and patient with the kids. Food was as expected. Most of us had«breakfast». Other servers nearby gave attention to us as well. Would recommend this Cracker Barrel.

We eat at a lot of Cracker Barrel restaurants for breakfast when traveling. We have eaten at this one on several occasions and the service is always good, the food usually consistent… on the most recent stop, we requested an alternate table than the one we were taken to… and that seemed to really throw everyone out of sync !! Our waitress didn’t know we were there, but she did finally get it together enough to take our order… She had a 4 star apron, so we thought she was experienced. But she seemed totally flustered, and to make her day even better, a couple at a nearby table took one look at the menu and left !! She was further flustered !! The only con with our breakfast order was the bacon… not as crispy as I would have liked, but then I didn;t request«crispy».really didn’t think I needed to do that, but will do so in future… It is usual to have a different server deliver the order, and when she did, she discovered that two things had been omitted, so she said she would correct it and get them out… and they were promptly brought out. We will continue to eat at Cracker Barrels, they are about the best breakfast [and other entrees, like the haddock dinner, the buttermilk chicken on Sundays, the chicken fried chicken.] you know what to expect at Cracker Barrel, the decaf coffee is great, they are usually nice servers, a cozy environment, clean restrooms, a little gift center, a nice place to stop and relax over a meal when traveling. Sometimes this location can be crowded and noisy, as there are few restaurants at this exit. I would definitely recommend either this or the Farmers Restaurant over anything else at this exit.

Their marinaded chicken is really good. It appears they put it on salads, sandwiches, etc. I had the Grilled chicken BLT this visit. Unfortunately, the bread was not toasted much and became very mushy. The chicken fried was ok. It tasted better with the gravy. Mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were good. Love the Cole Slaw.

This was some of the worst services I have ever had. Ridiculously slow. Ordered some pancakes, hashbrowns and sausage and waited 30 minutes for the food. The pancakes were over cooked! Then ordered a whole pie to-go and had to wait another 30 for it. It does NOT take 30 minutes to crab a pie out of the fridge.

Another day, another Cracker Barrel. They’re just so darned convenient and nine times out of ten, there is no difference between one and the next. This was in the«nine» group. I arrived at 9am on a weekday, so the usual pre-work breakfast crowd was long gone. This left me with a choice of seats and an attentive server. Coffee was brought to me while I reviewed the menu. Which was silly of me because I already knew what I wanted. «Uncle Herschel’s Favorite» always fills me up for a long day of driving and today was no exception. Two eggs over medium(easy on the cooking oil) with grits, biscuits and gravy(I only had half of one), hashbrown casserole(yummy!) and a small nibble of the country ham(too salty!) Coffee was good if perhaps a little hot. Bathroom was reasonably clean. It’s by the highway, so it’s busy. A solid experience, this is why I like the CB for a highway stop.
