Royal Grill Restaurant

As with many (although it should be all) Coney Island type restaurants, value is the word at Royal Grill. You get a lot for a little. The food is always tasty and I think slightly above most other area coneys. But what sets Royal above the rest is the service. The ladies of RG are great! Always smiling, bubbly and attentive. And they get to know you as a regular. All the ladies know my usual and have gotten to know all my family too. It’s not fine cuisine so don’t expect the high end cuts of meat or five star presentation, but you will leave with your belly full and your pocket not so empty. The dining area closes around 3pm, then it’s the standard counter and carry-​out service

The place where everybody knows your name. They wait staff greets and tend to you right away. Nothing fancy but down home friendly. They a large selection breakfast items. They don’t skip on the portions either. Nice breakfast place to eat. Friendly staff and, reasonable prices.

I’m downright horrible at writing reviews. Just wanted to start with that.
I went to this restaurant one day when I was in the area waiting on a store to open. I had actually driven a few miles in search of a coney island that would allow a sit down meal with a waitress and all.
I didn’t know what to expect but I found the staff friendly and the food was awesome. The BEST corned beef hash I have ever had. This isn’t some crap out of a can. They grill up corned beef with fresh chopped onion and pepper and mix it with shredded hash browns; it is served with 3 eggs any style all for a damned reasonable price.
I am glad I found this place. I have to drive farther than I would like to dine here but it is 100% worth it for their corned beef hash.

This is one of the best Coney Island types around. Breakfast is out of this world. For lunch any of the burgers or sandwhich and fry combos will satisfy. I personally recommend the grilled chicken salad with their homemade ranch, which were a staple lunch for about 2 years for me. The homemade ranch is so good that I stopped ordering that salad when the girl who made the dressing went on vacation. I called every day from work until she came back to work. Dinner and lunch specials also amazing. Great prices, even greater quality.
