My wife says that I am a snack-a-holic so I loved the dessert section at the buffet, the food is actually good too! I usually never like buffet food because it is so bland, but this food is actually tasty. There is actually a lot of option to choose from. My only problem is the price, it is much too high.

Had a great time eating at the buffet. The service was good and I enjoyed the food especially the dessert area. Not perfect but better than what’s available in the Metro Detroit area!

Had a huge company function here tonight. Outstanding food and service… especially Carolyn, our server, she was exceptionally accommodating and addressed our every request with grace and courtesy! Thanks Carolyn, you’re a treat!

This review is about my hotel stay… Which was terrible. Went for opening day April 6th(I go every year and try a new place to stay) this year was motor city. I called days prior to the 6th and was told an early check wouldn’t be a problem. This was false. After getting the run around we got it at 3. Room was clean and orderly I will say that. Decided to order a 3 topping pizza and it arrived all cheese and under cooked ANDIN A LITTLECEASARSBOX! It was not advertised like that. When I called room service they acted like I was the Dill hole! No apologies at all. Said they would send another without asking what I wanted in it. Oh, they said to not eat it BC they had to toss it. Okay. Whatever. They asked me how many I was feeding and said four people so make it a large then she proceeded to tell me they only have one size — medium(so why freaking ask). They then called and asked me to come down and pay for it at the front desk(defeats purpose of room service) I said whatever. Went to walk down and Jose was already brining the second pizza and said I didn’t have to pay yet. What the actual hell is going on here??? It was an absolute F around show. When we checked out they said we should have called. I almost went holocaust on them. Total genocide on that booty. At least I cleaned up on roulette

This review is primarily about the Soundboard Concert hall located at the Motorcity Casino. I typically check out various concerts throughout the year but had never been to Soundboard. I also had never seen the Whispers in concert so this was 2 new experiences. I always welcome new experiences so no problem here. There is event parking outdoors directly across from the entrance to the place. It was nice that we did not have to actually walk through the casino as it can be a little smoky. We waited in line for a little while but we did not miss the concert as there was a pre-show with a comedian. We were seating closer to the front so it took a little time to locate our seats but the staff were very helpful. We got a drink prior to sitting down and we met this great guy in line who actually purchased our drinks. This was a big surprise. Really nice person. The interesting part about this place is that they actually have basic chairs that you sit in. Not very comfortable but they were padded so not too bad. The acoustics were good and the Whispers sang a variety of memorable songs. We also had great company in ht seats next to us. Overall, this is an ok place for a concert. It is not the Fox or a typical concert hall but I had a good time.

It was an ok experience overall. The buffet, as much as it’s boasted about, left much to be desired. However, I am not a buffet person in the first place so take that as you will.

Rooms~beautiful and very clean food~buffet was average, but plentiful casino~it was a casino, free soda staff~99% awesome, 1% bitch at the front desk shining star~Jerome. He is one of the wait staff, working at the buffet. My roommate had her baby on her trip. She needed to go back to the room to take care of the baby. She had a little bit of food on her plate and asked Jerome if she could get a to go box. Most buffets do not allow that. But thanks to Jerome, he explained the situation to his manager and promptly returned with a box and a bag. Thanks to Jerome for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Really good buffet. Friday’s have four large bins of crab legs and they are usually on point(not like that chinese buffet that you have to wait an hour for them to refill with crappy legs) Hand carved roast beef, many many desserts to choose from, the whole 9 for about 30 bucks. Really the best casino buffet I’ve ever been to(and I’ve been to Windsor and MGM’s buffet’s) and probably the best buffet I’ve been to, period. Now as for the actual casino, its OK. Just another place in Detroit to throw your money away :)

This review is for the buffet. My friend and I were standing in line when this little old man came up to us and offered to buy us 2 dinners for $ 15 with his Comp card. He said he had so much money on it and he was trying to get rid of it. Of course we agreed! The regular price was $ 24 per person. After waiting in line for 45 minutes, we get to the front of the line and the man buys our dinner and just leaves! We thought he was going to eat, too. We thought it was funny that he stood in line all that time to make $ 15! The buffet itself looked amazing. They had all types of food: sushi, pizza/italian, chinese, turkey/stuffing/mashes potatoes, mexican, and more. They even had this fantastic dessert bar complete with cakes, cookies, pies, brownies, and ice cream. The taste of the food, however, was far from good. It was like bland cafeteria food. The sushi had so much mushy rice around it and didn’t taste fresh at all. The pizza was cold. The turkey was dry and the rolls were rock hard. They didn’t have chocolate ice cream! How do you not have a staple like chocolate ice cream?!? Instead, they had this obscure blueberry flavor in addition to vanilla and rainbow sherbert. So weird. If you’re looking for quantity over quality, this is definitely the place to go!
