Mexicantown Fiesta Center (aka El Club), is both a bar and (more primarily) a for-​rent event space (there was salsa dancing/​lessons going on there today). The bar is small but really pleasant to be in, with only Bud and Bud Light on tap, and a few domestic and import bottles, a small TV, and a good mixed crowd. There’s a big backyard space with garden seating and outdoor music playing. Awesome patio.
Only catch is that the bar is sporadically open with seemingly no rhyme or reason. I think it’s open every Friday, but other than that, it’s kind of a surprise to see the door open. Hope the schedule can be more regular, cuz the staff are total charmers.
