Food was decent, once we finally got it. Estimated delivery of 45 – 60 minutes, we waited 90 minutes. Then the guy forgot our drinks in the car, and had to go back down to get them. Food was barely warm when we finally did get it. Will not order again.

Good Indian food. Affordable. Open late. Service is usual fine. The lamb soup is tasty. Chia is not bad either.

They messed up my takeout order and since I didn’t realize til I got back home I called and they very hesitantly tried to fix it by delivering the right item but messed up AGAIN. So with all the back and forth the delivery guy apparently thought that he could use my cell number to try to hit on me via text. Probably shouldn’t call a customer«baby». Also, the only reason I tried this place was to use the Groupon which no one on staff knew how to redeem and I ended up having to pay full price. Oh and the food was mehhh. Just go somewhere else.

I made delivery order and other than the $ 25 minimum order and a $ 5 extra trip fee and the one hour wait… And lack of utensils, The food was good. I wish I wasn’t as tired, I may have enjoy it more.

I’ve eaten here twice now – once with a friend and once alone. Both times the server was the same woman and both times she got part of my order incorrect, but that’s okay considering she realized and expressed contrition. I assured her I didn’t mind.(I ordered the chicken biryani and received the lamb biryani the first time, which is the experience I’m mostly focusing on in this review.) My food was good: naan, the aforementioned biryani, crushed lentil soup, and a rose lassi. When I payed she apologized again and gave me a discount. Most other people seemed to order then go to the hookah bar next door. If I go with a friend again maybe I’ll do that.

Okay, i really hate when south asian restaurants don’t try but they have potential. Interior is pretty average, both to both sides, weak wall art, and a counter to the far right corner. The waiter was alright, not that talkative. He mentioned how they dont have any chicken keep in mind two/thirds of the menu is chicken… So thats out. After ordering he left the menus with us. He brought each dish out separately like okay? Do i eat curry by itself? Anyway not many choices as other authentic places. Food tasted like old reheated blah. Flavorless. The malai kofta was a joke. The daal was pretty lame. Props on the naan though.

There was a long black hair in my fattoush salad and the server was actually at the table when I pulled it out of my mouth. Server walked away without saying anything and nothing was done about it. I’m giving this place two stars because the people I was with had no issues with their food.

Awesome carry out in Midtown. Butter chicken and garlic naan is where its at. Quick and inexpensive. Can’t wait to go back.

Not even close to Indian test. No proper Indian spices. It is not a good place to test Indian food.

I love me some chicken tikka masala! I’ve only ever gotten take-out, but its always been delicious, ready on time and warm. Reasonable price for the large portions. I would highly recommend the garlic naan.

They’ll go above and beyond to accommodate and are very friendly. Get anything at nearly any time of day and enjoy this midtown go-to restaurant. Also make sure you have a wsu card discount as you should plan to frequent this spot.

Absolutely disgraceful. Waiting 40 minutes for a falafel wrap to never even come out, is the epitome of heinous in my mind. I used to be able to get falafel on call in NYC anywhere, anytime. I hate this stupid restaurant.

I waited 3 hours for the delivery guy and no one showed up. So I went to the restaurant myself and asked them about my delivery after calling them several times. They told me this is life and things happen and that they are sorry! I asked for my money back and they said they can’t refund it and that I have to talk to Unilocal. This Place is the worst ever ever ever in terms of service and delivery.

I have a particular love for Indo-Pakistani cuisine, and Maya’s is truly a hidden gem. I came in for lunch and ordered saag paneer with rice and a mango lassi. The saag paneer was perfect, the ingredients were fresh including the paneer, the rice was not mindblowing but totally adequate, and the lassi was on the thin side but tasted fine. Things to know: Order at the counter, then take a seat if you’re eating in. If you want rice, you need to order it. Spicing is on a white people scale, so order one level spicier than you normally would. I normally start at medium because I like spicy, but don’t like food to actually take my face off. Next time I am here I will order it hot, because medium wasn’t very warm.

I don’t usually get too excited about Indian restaurants because it usually turns out to be unnecessary hype. The food at Maya is exceptionally good, especially their chicken biryani, butter chicken and samosa chana. Their chef is the guy who worked at Priya before. Amazing food!

My review is based on one dish, the lamb saag. I order this every time i come here and im never disappointed. The service here sucks pretty bad though. If you can get past that, its pretty worth it.

Ordered delivery today and after spending what I thought was too much for a meal(31 $) I was eating my second samosa i ordered and luckily found, did not eat, a SHARD of GLASS! How the hell did that get in my food?! After calling back to explain my distress all the guy offers is another order of samosas. What the hell is that? Like i really want another order of what almost could have killed me. Im scared i could have eaten another piece already since it was my second samosa, having already eaten my first. Holy hell, no offer of refund. Talk about stupid customer service. You know who I am. I hope you make this right and also hope i didn’t ingest any other glass. Will try and attach a photo.

I called in my order for chicken biryani with a larger order of raita. They charged me 3 $ extra for raita. which i thought was a lot of$. Secondly, both biryani and yogurt were EXTREMELYSALTY. But, it was a take out order. So, by the time i got home and tried my food, i was too lazy to go back have them fix it. Anyhow, i think its worth another shot because the biryani tasted pretty good. I didn’t care for the shaved almonds in there(few, but still). Price– worth the price for the amount of food they give– it s a huge white styrofoam take out container stuffed with rice. They were not stingy with the chicken which was appreciated. Anyhow, id give this place another shot. Next time ill eat in, incase there are any salt issues.

Place was good for few days at the beginning. Then everything changed. Taste changes from your second order. No consistency. Menu changes.(Most of the items on the menu are not available) Prices will be changed once you go there to pick up your order.(After ordering, when I went there to pick up, I was over charged. They said prices are not up to date. I can see a big screen with the prices right behind the counter. Even the prices in the store are not honored.) Manager will not be available to talk to.(Forget about escalations) I thought I will give it another try. Over all after giving several shots, I finally gave up. It bothers to write a negative review about a business but it had to be done especially when it sets a bad business example. Hope you will have a better experience. Good luck.
