Nice ppl, relaxing atmosphere outside and delicious food. Loved the spring salad I believe and the vegan champignon crepes. Kind of on the pricey side, and they close too early.

I have been to Le Petit Zinc infrequently over the years, perhaps once every few months. The restaurant is small, cute, and the food is consistently delicious! It is French, but not pretentious. They have a full line of coffee/espresso drinks, and breakfast/lunch options. Absolutely wonderful, relaxing place!

The best crepes in Detroit. I love it the ambiance the food everything. I got a goat cheese and spinach crêpe it was wonderful. The ambiance is great you feel like you are in a little french café. I also had the fruit and cheese plate it was great lots of great cheese with fresh ripe fruit. I finished the meal off with a nutella crêpe it was soft and full of flavor.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Honestly I’d probably call this my favorite restaurant. At the very least I’d say they have the best damn crepes you’ll find around here. And despite the fact that I live an hour away(at least!) I’ve made the trip many times, solely for Le Petit Zinc. Rose water lattes are a huge highlight for me. Especially since the«cup» it comes in is bigger than my face. The lemon sugar crepes are another fave. And recently I’ve become addicted to their sausage and pickle crêpe. I’m craving one right now actually. The service is great also, I’ve had the same server/barista every time I’ve been recently, and she is always sweet, helpful, and speedy with service. And she makes a bangin latte, obviously. 10/10, can’t wait to go again. This place is awesome, and anyone who says different is probably lying.

This area has recently blossomed so I was excited for the addition of a new french restaurant. I went for lunch during the week. The building is a mess and it was a little hard to find the entrance in the courtyard. The place is tiny and so is the menu. We were the only customers. The menu is a very small selection of soup sandwiches and crepes. I had parmesian tomato soup which was fair and a jambon beurre that was below average. The bread was toasted and crusty. Although it was 14 degrees outside we were irritated by fruit flies throughout lunch. petit is an accurate description of the menu — this place was a dissappointment.

Absolutely delicious. We got the brunch special(smoked salmon with eggs and a croissant) and my taste buds were in heaven. Lovely atmosphere too; lots of bright murals and art.

I’m mad I didn’t visit Le Petite Zinc sooner. We had a lovely brunch and I can’t wait to go back– especially in the summer to eat in the garden. The inside is cozy and the food was delicious. I had the croissant egg sandwich and my husband had the Petite Dejouner, we recommend both.

Amazing food and I love that in the summer time most of their vegetables come straight from their garden! So fresh and so amazing! For how small this place is they get people in and out of there all with the amazing view of watching your food made right in front of you(if you sit at the bar). Great spot for a warm cup of joe in the am on their patio in the summer time.

My boyfriend found his place on Unilocal,so we decided to finally go check it out today. There is plenty of parking on the street and in the lot. Almost more parking that would be necessary considering it is so tiny inside, I think the proper word to use is ‘cozy’. There are several small tables and they also have a bar you can sit at. Our waitress was really sweet and made sure we had waters and menus as soon as we sat down. We each ordered a latte, which is served in a giant bowl. They were creamy and delicious… and huge! I started with a cup of the creamy tomato parm soup. It hit the spot and kind of reminded me of a super flavorful tomato sauce, but in a good way. I ordered the crêpe with goat cheese, spinach, and pine nuts. My boy friend ordered the ham and pickle crêpe and added goat cheese. We both had the initial reaction of ‘oh wow, this goat cheese is amazing!’. It was so flavorful and there was a suitable amount throughout the crêpe. This was my first experience with savory crepes and it was a great one. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for something a little different. It’s not your normal breakfast/lunch fare. I will definitely be back to visit!

I love this place. Its around the corner from where i live so i walk over often. Latte out of a bowl and super delicious toasted croissants and jam. Whats better than that??? Great vegetarian options and a quaint«moms kitchen» atmosphere. Will forever be a favorite.(Beware of brunch hours. It can get a little crazy because its so delicious but quite tiny!)

Went here for the first time today. We went because a friend recommend it to us. It was super easy to find and parking was good! It was pretty busy when we went there so it took a little bit for someone to come over and get our order. We sat outside. The water comes in wine bottles, which is super cute. I got the tomato, parmesan soup, and the brunch special with the croissant sandwich that had tomato, spinach, and swiss cheese on it. It came with a house salad and potatoes. My friends both got the Nutella crepes. We all got coffee. Everything was super delicious. Unfortunately they kept forgetting to bring us crème and sugar so I was the only one to drink my coffee. It was good though. The soup was fantastic. I recommend it. The sandwhich I was super great. Everything was fresh and awesome! This place is great. I just wish the service had been a little better.

This gem is tucked away in Corktown, allowing for ample parking. Service was slow, especially for a not-too-busy Monday, but the beautiful weather made up for it. The outdoor patio area is warm and intimate, complete with a water fountain and plenty of flowers/greenery. The Nutella crêpe was PRETTYDAMNFANTASTIC. The last time I enjoyed one was in France, and Petite Zinc tasted incredibly authentic. I will be returning for sure, but only when I have the free time to enjoy a slow meal and scenery. Looking forward to trying more of the menu!

I wasn’t impressed. I had the Nicoise salad and my friend had the ratatouille crêpe. The salad was ok. Small, 2 beans, 2 anchovies, 1 small red skin potatoes sliced up, 1 sliced egg with a few sliced tomato on a bed of mixed greens. The vinaigrette dressings was Meh. Charming little place with a limited menu. Most of the menu items we wanted for Sunday brunch at 1:30 wasn’t avaiable. Disappointing. But would give it another try.

Don’t expect a large yankee sized portion here. Just the right amount of fresh and tasty ingredients to leave you satisfied. The ambiance makes you slow down the day and enjoy your eats.

When first arriving to this restaurant, I was a little confused about the location and entrance. Once we settled into our patio seats in the garden I was so taken with the beautiful garden setting(there were literally butterflies floating around!). I’m would say this place is good for a group of 2 maybe 3 but no more. The menu had plenty of options. I ordered the ham & Brie cheese crêpe and my split the Nutella dessert crêpe. The ham & cheese crêpe was lacklustre, no real creative taken on a traditional combination, simply ham & cheese. The Nutella crêpe was delicious. The service is really what takes this from a 4 to a 3 star experience. There was only one waiter, and he was not very attentive. It was relatively busy and they were possibly understaffed, but a guest shouldn’t have to chase the service down for a water refill. We waited close to an hour between placing our orders and receiving our food. Luckily we had spare time. Also, the waiter took my credit card before bringing us the bill, which I thought was strange but didn’t want to have to wait again for him to bring the bill separately. All in all, I may think twice about returning.

This is a great place to go on a spring or summer morning. The crepes are phenomenal, I especially enjoy the crêpe that has goat cheese and pine-nuts and they’re tomato bisque is heavenly. For what it is, I would say the prices are fair. I will admit that food and service can be a tad bit slow at times, but it is worth the wait. Probably not the best place to go with picky eaters, or kids. Also, they do not carry coke or Pepsi if you are pop drinker. But overall, worth stopping by.

Took my granddaughter here for lunch Saturday. We had a fantastic lunch. Pâté platter for me and nutella and banana crêpe for granddaughter. We had huge café latee. Yes food service was slow. One cook. But when in Paris service is at a slower pace. The gardens are beautiful with outside sitting.

The crêpe of the day almost never fails to illicit tingling throughout my whole body — it usually has a perfect combination of sweet(pear, balsamic, etc.) and sour/salty(olives, salami, etc.) and tart(sharp cheese or again with the vinegar). The standard menu item you can always try? The goat cheese and spinach crêpe. Next time I might get it with ‘french sausage’(salami) if they’ll allow me to do the add-on. Either because the meal is so delicious, or maybe because the portion really is a little on the small side, I always end up a little hungry at the end. Which means I either split another crêpe with my co-diner, or end up getting their bite-sized lava cake to fill the void. Ok. Sigh. Here’s the terrible thing. The service. I’m not generally an uptight person when it comes to service but no matter how many times I come here, and no matter how delicious the food is, by the end I’m always irritated. Sometimes this is the fault of the servers(untrained, disorganized, and getting into full blown yelling matches with the cook?!?) and sometimes this is the fault of management(totally understaffing for the lunch and late brunch rushes). Sometimes service will start off great(if it’s dead) and then the server will just… disappear. No water. No coffee. No check. Mind blowing. Severely frustrating. I really really wish they’d get their sh*t together. The other thing — the outdoor patio should be endearing and intimate but instead feels cold and boring. Maybe it’s the odd choice for the ground(small stones) or the crappy patio furniture(functional but definitely not characteristic) or the lack of landscaping. But it all feels half-assed. I much prefer sitting inside. Anyway. If you can stomach waiting way too long and being baffled at inefficiency, but being rewarded in delicious food, put on your beret and come on over. Even though I’m always frustrated, I keep crawling back for more.

Another food gem in the city! Strictly speaking about the food… delicious, creative, simple and complex. Service… that’s another story, slow and inattentive. The crêpe, Saucisson, was filled with sliced French sausage and baby pickles. The crêpe was made from a nice batter, not really sweet, great compliment to the savory dish. The sausage is similar to salami in texture and style compared to sausages that you would grill. The pickles are a nice contrast with its vinegar to the sausages, balancing the flavors. The small greens that accompany the crêpe is a nice way to lighten the dish and give it a fresh and earthy feel. It’s really ashame the food is shadowed by slow service. The server is nice and polite, but trying to get water glasses shouldn’t take twenty minutes. Not sure if she was the only one for the whole place, but they either need more staff or their speed needs to be reviewed. I should point out though, for the delicious food they serve, the prices are surprisingly cheap. Excellent value for your money.

Un petit fleur grandit dans le ghetto… er, sorry about that French 101 flashback that Le Petit Zinc caused. But after seeing lots of local places attempt to be just like ones in New York and Chicago, it’s nice to see one trying to be Parisian and succeeding. The name Le Petit Zinc is French slang for a bar, per the restaurant, and what you get here is the kind of food you’d find at a French bar. Fatty hamburgers and buffalo wings give way to crepes, salads and simple sandwiches, like you’d find in any Paris brasserie. I’m a fan of the Jambon Beurre, which is a real simple recipe – butter, cheese, ham, baguette. You can taste the quality of the ham and brie chosen by the chef. It comes with a lightly dressed salad. The woman ordered the crêpe poulet ratatouille, also served with a side salad. You could taste the freshness of the vegetables, and see that a lot of work went into selecting quality ingredients. This also holds true to the drinks, which is the only place where the restaurant deviates from it’s French course. Menthe a l’eau and Patsis 51 give way to Izze sodas and Mexican Cokes. You may not speak a lick of French, but trust me, the food will make you scream«Mon Dieu!»
