First the bad: it’s not very clean and Centrella, their cheap brand isn’t worth buying. I tend to buy generic and store brands but Centrella is the worst. Also, they don’t stock diet drinks with the exception of pop. No diet Arizona Tea or Powerade Zero. The good: They sometimes get quantities of test products like Chocolate Cheerios and will sell for cheap. I’ve bought quite a few boxes of Fiber One bars for a dollar here. I wouldn’t drive here out of my way but I live here in the barrio so it’s close by.

I was out on my bike again exploring my city. As I was cruising down Central with semis passing within inches of me, I looked up to see a huge market called Aztec(really) supermercado. It lives up to the name because everything about it is super. The meat dept is huge and well stocked. They have tortillas lined up in front, and so many different brands it makes your head spin. As you enter the store you are greeted by a produce section with all kinds of cheap and good looking produce, and there is a HUGE bin of rice priced at just .79 cents a pound. Not too shabby if you ask me. This store is huge with wide aisles and the center aisle is where all the Hispanic goodies are. They had a deal on La Valentina hot sauce for a paltry 1.25, and it was the huge bottle. Speaking of hot sauce, the selection is excellent, and the Goya line is also well represented. Although I didnt buy much I was impressed enough to return when I need to shop again. I live 4 miles from this place, and if I am willing to travel that far, then it has to be special. I will still use E&L when they have cheap lunchmeat, but I think I may have found the place where I’m going to do most if not all of my shopping. Viva Aztec!!!
