My husband and I stayed at Emerald Grande in October. We thoroughly enjoyed it even during this time of the year. The weather was beautiful and the lines at various restaurants were short. We typically come here during the summer months but decided to change it up a little this year. The view from this hotel into the Gulf was beautiful especially during the sunset. We will come again during the Fall!!! As for the service at the hotel– the people were very friendly and helpful especially when we locked ourselves out of our room twice. As for the food-it was delicious. I really enjoyed their breakfast. The elevators are a tad slow but we were using the service elevators because it was closer to our room. The accessibility to restaurants and bars is fabulous. Harry T’s, Margaretaville, The Boathouse are on The Harborwalk. If you stay at Emerald Grande and had too much to drink, you can ride their gulf cart back!!! There is also activities for children. They have everything there. It’s like a resort. Beautiful place to stay at for your next stay in Destin!!!

Negatives first; No A/C in hallways & elevators very slow elevators. Parking is just terrible. No luggage carts must use bell hop services. The room could have been cleaner found chip & pretzel on the floor. We were on second floor very loud and noisy. Positive; Great location, nice happy hour 4 – 6 every day. Service & employees very nice friendly. Free taxi to beach and towels, chairs. Fitness center /spa very nice.

9th floor facing the wrong way. merely aesthetics Strike one– Noise from mcguires pub coming thru crappy seals on doors til 1 am Thursday night Strike two– whacky noise amplification from bathroom air ducts of bar and crowd noise making bathrooms create echo Strike three– Air conditioner working only if set to 66 degrees. For a place that looks this opulent that’s quite a few strikes…
