Harry T’s Boathouse

This restaurant refused service to a wedding party because they determined that the party were LSU fans. They asked people to leave the restaurant because a member of the party wore a hat with the LSU logo visible. The restaurant was not closed for a private function although some Florida Alums frequently host watch parties. Had they closed for a private event fine … But they kicked them out of the place while other diners from the general public were served. Then in a follow up response letter the owner disparaged Tiger fans … Please spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

I love this place! We have a ritual of coming here first night when we arrive in a destin.

The menu is huge and there is something for everyone… one of the largest and most diverse offerings of any restaurant anywhere .
NOAA weather plays in men’s room so you can plan your boating for next day ! Where else you get all that?

Our family of 11 people came here Thanksgiving Day, and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Lovely location on the harbor, and great dolphin and pelican watching. The food came promptly, and quality was terrific as we’re portions. We all enjoyed the popcorn shrimp basket and I loved the spicy gumbo. All in all a great experience!

First of all our server Vivien was awesome! She laughed and joked with us and made sure our glasses stayed full and we had everything we needed! The view of Destin Harbor and the boats coming in and out is awesome! My husband had the gumbo and he said that it was 4.5 stars so I guess thats pretty awesome! I had the Cream of Snow crab soup and I definitely give it 5 stars it was delicious! The kids had the popcorn shrimp and it came on a frisbee which was cool and overflowing with shrimp and french fries! I had the scallops which were also very well seasoned and absolutely delicious! It was also the best sweet tea that we have had all vacation long. The only down spot in our dinner was that my husband ordered the combo platter and he was kind of shocked that it had less food on it than the kid’s popcorn shrimp dinner, but all in all it was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be back!

We had a company dinner at Harry T’s after our shoot (Tricia & Co.) a couple of weekends ago. The customer service was outstanding and they really went out of there way to help us with the photo shoot that day. Thank you!!!
