Wonderful customer service, friendly staff! Got the fruit and nut chicken salad salad on croissant and it is amazing. This place is a gem! The atmosphere is like dining in a little bistro. I can’t emphasize enough how tasty and great this place is! Will def come back next time I am in Dallas.

Who would ever think of dining at a gas station? Well think again because I have been absolutely floored by the deliciousness of Marilyn’s Fine Foods. They have transformed a gas station into a beautiful Italian café right in DeSoto, Texas! The omelette I had for breakfast wasn’t just pretty to look at it was cooked to heavenly perfection. The turkey hamburger I had my first time was perfect. The meat had that perfect crust from the grill and the bun had been properly toasted. They also have chicken salad, turkey salad, pasta salad, buttermilk fried chicken, chicken fried steak, salad bar, homemade pies, cakes, banana pudding. But what makes this place truly unique is the freshness of the food and the attention to detail in preparing each meal. Top it off with friendly attentive service and you have the perfect dining experience. This is one of the very best dining experiences I’ve ever had! I’ll be coming back A LOT!

Really fresh and friendly folks. I have been eating here for the last few years. I recommend the salad bar. The bakery pies and cakes are the best

Love this place! Fresh food! Very nice people. I’ve only gotten breakfast and lunch but they have a very appealing dinner menu. The chicken salad is amazing. The deserts are amazing. You can’t go wrong with this gem. So glad i found this place.

This is the old Texaco gas station turned into gulf. I don’t know what it is about restaurants that are built off to the side of gas stations but they’re usually surprisingly really good! And fortunately, Marilyn’s is no exception. I sometimes work around here and it’s actually pretty hard to find a somewhat healthy option for food so I’m glad we stumbled upon this gem. I always order the turkey burger on wheat bun with all the fixings and a side of sweet potato fries and it is so satisfying! I’m usually not a big fan of turkey burgers because I find they’re usually too dry and taste a little like cardboard but Marilyn’s was super juicy and succulent! I look forward to coming back for more!

I love Marilyn’s! The food tastes so real. I use to pick up lunch for my mom and I, and it was one of the few places my mom enjoyed eating from. As for their desserts? Delicious! I picked up a banana pudding from there for my mom’s funeral, because it was her favorite treat, and everyone loved it. The staff is wonderful, I have yet to meet a rude soul in there. I, honestly, didn’t know that there is a hallway that take you to the grocery store! Lol! If you haven’t eaten here, you are missing out.

This is my second time eating from here but first visit to the location. When you come around the side of the gas station to the Bistro entrance, you will see a stark difference in the exterior décor that sticks out on a busy corner of De Soto, Texas. You step inside, and immediately note the taste and texture of the restaurant and it is very neat and in an odd way comfortable. I’ve only yet had the Ruben’s(they are delicious) and she uses Boar’s Head deli meats. The marbled rye is baked in the back(there is an up front flat top and char grill) and in the back is a commercial kitchen as they cater as well. If memory serves they make their own 1000 island dressing. Super tasty Ruben, and the only place within 15 miles of Lancaster /De Soto to get one(I know I’ve tried for the last 4 years). There is even beer and wine sold here as well as a wealth of other beverages. All home made side dishes and veggies to go with your Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner as well as a pretty broad bakery case with various cakes and cookies. Believe you can even get loaves of fresh bread here too. Marilyn is a lovely lady and all the staff we encountered are eager, pleasant and friendly.
