It’s a nice hotel but don’t judge a book by its cover… Our air conditioner did not work had to switch rooms which is fine and we were thankful… Staff… Well I wouldn’t say they were terrible but they defin were not great– not very friendly and didn’t seem organized… The whole building smelled lol gasoline like maybe a generator was going and the pool and hot tub was closed down which was a real bummer because we have 4 rooms and a total of 8 kids with us so that’s free entertainment BUT that didn’t happen! Probably won’t return

I am not sure where to start. Everything about this place turned out just bad. The staff — initially they are all smiles and greetings. That will last only until you ask them to do something. Shuttle drivers are beyond rude when they perceive they are being asked to do something. 4 days in a room with no air conditioner. Maintenence and front desk did not seem to care. 12 days total in this place, 3 times had to change rooms due to air conditioner issues and the last time i am told they have no more rooms. 4 days in this sauna. Breakfast servers barely speak English and neither do the house keeping staff. Facilities — as mentioned above no ac for 4 days. Dryers that do not work. Wi-Fi sucked totally. Excercise room closed whole time here. In short it is a good thing the company paid for this hell hole. Dont ever spend your own money here.

Preface: This review is about the banquet area and not the rooms. This past weekend I went to a banquet at this location and let me tell you, I think I’ve gotten more consistent service at an Old Country Buffet. Yes child! It was that bad. When I first walked into the hotel, I was greeted appropriately and the assigned hosts were very gracious and helpful. While this hotel is not the fanciest by any means, it is still well kept and was okay. The problems began when we sat down. I’m not sure what was happening with the wait staff, but they were beyond unprofessional. The first problem for us was our waiter not being proficient in English. That provided a great barrier for us because it made it hard to ask for what we need. When we sat down, we immediately noticed a few crucial missing pieces of dinnerware, like our bread plates. We were served salads and to my surprise we had butter but no bread. It would not be until after we finished this course that they would bring it out, but again, we did not have bread plates. We had to ask one by one for bread plates despite us asking several times for the wh0le group. I guess we were just supposed to sit our bread on our dinner plates or just hold it in our hands as we ate? Also, it was rather strange that the waiter sat the butter on the other side of the table when no one was sitting there instead of closer to us. It also did not help that the butter was so stone cold that it was not able to be spread. You’d think that the warm bread would just melt it, but the bread was not very warm either. By the time we got a couple of plates(we ended up giving up and sharing ones between us including the plate the butter came on), our dinner arrived and that was another disaster in itself. In observance of Lent, my Mom and I ordered the Blackened Tilapia. It was to be served with mashed potatoes and green beans almandine. The fish was dried out beyond belief and was beyond bland. They put extremely minimal blackening season on there. The potatoes unfortunately tasted of instant potatoes, but the green beans were pretty decent. During the course of dinner, we tried to ask for things we needed, but again, it was hard because the waiter did not speak English and my Spanish is God-awful. After our plates were cleared, they served dessert and I was shocked that they did not ask people if they wanted chocolate cake vs. vanilla. They just handed it out. What if someone was allergic to chocolate or just hated the flavor? I ended up swapping someone for chocolate and I wish I had not. The cake was beyond dry. I mean, so dry you could see it’s pores. Like pour some custard on this to make it not scratch my throat while swallowing it, dry. At this point I was completely over it. I was willing to forgive that they were serving SUTTERHOME as their wine(ICK!). I was willing to soldier through the lack of proper dinnerware and awful dinner, but when you mess with my chocolate you’ve gone a bridge too far. So this is my take, if you are looking for a low cost place to do a dinner, go somewhere else. Despite the hosts and the people at the front desk being very nice, the wait staff and the kitchen will let you down. They don’t have to worry about me ever hosting anything there– and I doubt I ever would have considered them in the first place.
