Anahata Springs Spa and Retreat

Anahata Springs is a great place to go to get away for a little while! Since it is «clothing optional», you need to call ahead to make a reservation in order to show up, but all you have to do is call and say you are coming — you don’t need to prepay. There are two pools — one that is body temperature and one that is a little warmer. The grounds are tasteful and relaxing, and the owner and staff incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating! My husband and I only went for the day, and in the future, plan to go back and stay the night in one their of their rooms.

Leisha is absolutely a wonderful human! Stopped in for day use and a massage. Clean and extremely peaceful location! Wonderful chill music! Wish I could of copied down her play list! Try the aromatherapy sprays! Our massage therapist was a super kind gentle soul, he shared what was probably my best massage ever! Good price, and not crowded at all. Excellent for first timers!

My wife and I stopped here for a relaxing (clothing optional) afternoon in the sun and springs before heading up to our cabin for the weekend in Idyllwild. It was exactly what we were looking for. It was well worth the $ 25 day use fee. The service we received from our host Lisa was friendly, accommodating, and very pleasant. When we left and headed up in to the mountains are skin was sunkissed, our bodies were at ease, and our hearts were warmed. We will return, possibly next time for an overnight stay.

This place was so tranquil and rejuvenating. And the rates are very reasonable also. We came on a day when there were only a few people present and it was very peaceful. It felt amazing swimming and lounging naked in the sun. Highly recommend, great spiritual vibes.

We stayed here for Coachella Weekend 1 2015.
We had 2 rooms for 12 people and it fit us perfectly. It’s a small resort so it’s pretty intimate because it’s quiet at night. The owner was really nice and he gave us a good deal for 4 nights.
My group got there Thursday night and left Monday morning, which is perfect for Coachella because it starts Friday Morning and ends Sunday night. The room has queen size bed, a full size bathroom, a kitchen area with a sink, microwave, and fridge.
I highly recommend this place for those looking for lodging for Coachella. It’s a 30 min drive to Coachella, but it honestly didn’t feel that long. The best part is that they have a spa if you wanna relax at night, and a pool for chilling with friends in the afternoon. They also have coffee, tea, and ice for free!
However, there were some flies, fire ants and roaches, so just be weary that you don’t bring smelly food and keep your doors closed to avoid insects!

My boyfriend and I went for Valentine’s Day as a last minute stop on the way to joshua tree. They were so accommodating and kind, that we felt relaxed and at home. We indulged in a couples massage that was the piece de resistance! It was relaxing and we felt more connected when it was done. We will definitely be returning!

My definition of a rejuvenating, refreshing, and healing getaway just got redefined. I have never felt better after spending an incredible weekend relaxing, getting tantric massage lessons, and chilling out in the natural spring water pools of Anahatha Springs Spa and Retreat. I was not sure what to expect from this quaint, yet peaceful, 16 room getaway, however what I found was a desert oasis that became a home away from home. Anahatha is a natural hot springs fed, zen, boutique retreat located just north of Palm Springs in the vortex known internationally as «Spa Town USA», Desert Hot Springs, CA.
The owner, Jim, greeted us with a huge smile upon our arrival and showed us around the property which consisted of a naturally fed pool and spa, eating areas with BBQ, lounge chairs, shade canopies, hammocks, swings, and a magical massage room where he later gave usI lessons on healing the body. Jim thoughtfully designed Anahatha as a peaceful place for couples and women to reconnect with themselves, each other, and to bring back a sense of balance and peace. Focused on stimulating the seven energy chakras and heightening the five senses, sight, sound, scent, taste, and touch; this place really has a way of blocking all the chaos of the outside world. I give Anahatha my full endorsement and recommend a weekend here to couples and women who are interested in rejuvenating themselves and their relationships.

My first time at a desert resort that is clothing optional. It was exactly the type of place I was looking for to decompress from a long week. I could only get a day pass as the spa was sold out of rooms but I will return very soon as Anahata was everything I needed for my weekend get away!
Leisa greeted me at the door with a big smile, hug and Namaste :-) Right away you know you are in a tranquil, relaxing, kind hearted place. A quick tour of the area and quick introductions to the other guests and we’re off… with our clothes.
It was so nice to have chaise lounges, singles and double chaises through out the area, in and out of the sun, they have a few cabanas and hammocks around the property as well so you have plenty of options of where you’d like to relax.
The pool is very large and they keep floaties and rafts for you to use, the mineral pool is near but enclosed with a roof so it’s an option to swim in without the heat of the sun.
I found the place to be everything I needed to de stress and more! Massages are available by appointment and they have a wonderful selection of yummy smelling mists that will help you sleep better, feel refreshed or give an energy burst!
There is no restaurant or bar but you are welcomed to bring as much food and beverages as you like… I did and it was no problem. There is a 7 – 11 close by for small incidentals but not really much in the area surrounding the spa.
The larger statue of Kwan Yin overlooking the pool seems to say it all; welcome to tranquility, relaxation and happiness. NAMASTE KKatz

Anahata Springs Spa and Retreat is a clothing-​optional resort with natural hot springs channeled into a spa, a mineral pool, and a bath. It is very small, so reservations are absolutely necessary.
My husband and I had been curious for some time about clothing-​optional hotels, and both of us wanted to experience the luxury of mineral hot springs. However, we had heard that such places were discriminatory based on looks and weight. I’m a fat woman, so I was very nervous about exposing my body around strangers. My husband called ahead and asked about that, and was assured that it would not be a problem, which turns out to have been accurate.
When we first arrived, we were dubious because the neighborhood does not look very luxurious, but upon entering the facility, we were greeted warmly and eagerly by the proprietor, given the option of a tour, and shown to a lovely, uncluttered room with a kitchenette included. Immediately, the atmosphere of the place began to make us both feel relaxed, welcome, and calm. Other guests were sunbathing, using the pool and other amenities. No one stared or made us uncomfortable. It took us a remarkably short time to begin to feel comfortable enough to join in and use the amenities. Nobody intruded, but when we began to reach out, the other residents welcomed us as though they had just been waiting for the opportunity to make friends. It was really pretty amazing. When we finally disrobed, no one seemed to think anything of it; the feeling was not a sexual thrill, but a sort of casual freedom from everyday stress.
The larger-​than-​life statue of Kwan Yin overlooking the pool seems to pervade the entire atmosphere of the place with an almost palpable feeling of loving-​kindness. I don’t think I’ve ever felt such a feeling of safety and serenity in a public place in my life. It was otherworldly.
We couldn’t stay as long as we wanted; it was very hard to leave when our time was up, and we plan to make as long a stay as we can next time we visit. We did not experience even half of the unusual, interesting, and attractive special offers or amenities we could have had.
I wish I could give Anahata Springs Spa and Retreat more than 5 stars. They get all the stars, as far as I’m concerned.
