I called to get a quote and the woman who answered my call was very rude, as if I was asking too much of her and she didn’t have time for me. Apparently they are booked «weeks» in advance. Super surprised because the reviews seemed promising. Think again.

Bill was incredibly helpful, friendly, and efficient. He came highly recommended by my former bosses, who have a very high standard, and he certainly lived up to that in installing a replacement water heater in our Chicago condo. The estimate was also $ 750 less than Four Seasons’s estimate, so we were glad to give a trustworthy local plumber like Bill our business. His wife Maryanne handles scheduling and is very willing to work with your schedule and availability for an initial consultation and eventual repair work. Highly recommended!

Came within the hour, guy was nice, and charged us almost $ 1000 less than a competitor quoted. This is the guy to call!

I have used Metro Plumbing for many years and I have always been satisfied with their service. Right now Bill (the owner) is replacing a large cast iron drain pipe and vent in my 2 story building. It runs from the roof to the basement. This is no small task, but he carefully cut the wood lath and plaster walls to get to the pipes. He uses furniture blankets for his tools and cleans up whatever mess he makes. He is also replacing the old galvanized pipes that feed the 2^nd floor to copper. Since the walls were already open, it made sense to do the extra work.
He is going to help me cleanup all the old pipes and rework the configurations so they make sense in the basement. This is the most trustworthy plumber I have ever met in the 20+ years I have lived in Chicago. His company will fit in an emergency when they can, but their forte is the type of work they are doing in my house. Adding new plumbing, new bathroom or kitchen feeds, new fixture installation and the like. They do not do sewer work.
If you can work with their schedule, you will never ever be disappointed!
