I have been going to Des Plaines Martial Arts for a little over a month now and I absolutely love it. I have been curious about getting involved in the martial arts for years and I am more than happy that this is the place I chose to finally do so. Most of my classes have been with Master Tony who carries out classes with a demeanor of professionalism and is very knowledgeable in his craft. The workout you get going to the classes is intense. It is a full body type of deal so nothing will be left out as you continue. It is a very laid back business, as there is no pressure to achieve things at a certain pace. When you feel you are ready to progress is when you are most encouraged to do so. You are treated as a valued student whether you put your all into learning everything as fast as you can, or if you take it easy and go at a relaxed pace. What I love most about Des Plaines Martial Arts is that it is a very family-oriented environment. I quickly found myself feeling as if I was surrounded by family and close friends within weeks. You are not limited to your instructor for knowledge, as fellow students have happily helped me practice, stay on top of things and learn more as well. My flexibility has hit new heights as well as I have continued the program. They operate off a monthly fee that allows you to attend as many or as few classes as you desire. You have the freedom of attending as you care to. Whether you come once a week or daily, you are greeted by the masters and your fellow students with a smile. There are plenty jokes and laughter, but once class starts, it becomes a serious deal and you will definitely break a sweat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in the martial arts or who just want a good workout, cardiovascular especially.
