Definitely check out the bakery and deli. Not the best place for for foreign foods, though — which is mostly what they carry.

BESTBAKERY! Yum! Cakes, donuts, crème horns, napolians, eclairs… oh, you could go on forever talking about their delicious bakery! As for the grocery end of the store, dry goods prices beat most competitors in the area. You can catch great deals on most groceries here. Produce, well, I don’t find it as fresh as the produce store down the street, but there’s lots of it. Deli, much cheaper than Jewel or Dominick’s. Frozen foods, they don’t have the variety that other, larger grocery stores have, but their prices are a bit better on those too. If you’re shopping off ads, well just make sure you pick up something that isn’t on sale, they don’t seem to like it when you just come in to get the $.99 lb of butter and nothing else.

They have an amazing produce section. This is a place to do some stocking up. Most of their other depts. are well stocked with fresh foods. Most of their other stores are also a good place to shop.

Butera is a great, cheap grocery store to shop at. Its not as nicely decorated or well-kept as the neighboring Dominicks and Jewel, but it is definitely a winner in terms of value. The prices here are outrageously cheap and you can get lots of things for significantly cheaper than other grocery stores. Don’t be fooled by its shabby displays — its a great place to shop!
