I brought my mom here today for lunch and we sat outside because it was nice out. While the food is good, we sat down and were immediately swarmed with bees. They wouldn’t leave us or our food alone and we ended up having to leave because my mom had gotten stung. Needless to say, if you want to enjoy a nice meal outside, this is not the place to go.

Sandwiches are decently priced and sized, but nothing to write home about. Before biting into my sub it was about 2.5 inches tall/thick, but after the first bite i was able to see that somehow the bread was paper thin, and the amount of meat was less than what I’d put in my own sandwich at home. All of the volume of the sub came from crinkled up shredded lettuce and air. No joke. About ¾ of the«thickness» of the sandwich was air. I think Jimmy John’s day job is a magician — «Looks like an ordinary sub, right? Viola! I’ve magically disappeared copious amounts of meats and cheeses into thin air!»

I left the West County mall and randomly drove around looking for something to eat — I had just gotten a new phone, so none of my apps were back on it yet and my car GPS search feature is blah. Then I stumbled across Jimmy John’s. After eating at Subway so much, Jimmy John’s was like fine dining by comparison. The bread is good, the meat just tastes better, and the ingredients aren’t slopped on carelessly. It was practically empty in there, so the food was ready before I had time to finish reading some of the signs on the walls. Great sandwich for a good price. The cookies also aren’t bad.

This is a relatively new Jimmy Johns next to the Des Peres Schnucks in the same building as Five Guys. I’ve been here numerous times and just like any of there stores the service is «crazy» fast… but there usually nobody else in the store. Overall I enjoy the quality of their sandwiches and their ingredients always taste fresh. I’ve never received“old” lettuce on my sandwich, and their bread is always soft. When it comes to sub sandwiches I’m a sucker for the«Vito» which is a classic italian sub with an oil dressing. One exciting thing I learned at a recent Jimmy Johns stop is that they sell their 1 day old bread for 50 cents a loaf! I definitely give this location a thumbs up. Unfortunately they do not deliver to my home address.

It’s Jimmy John’s. In case you don’t know about this place, it’s a great sandwich shop that tugs at my heart strings due to it being one of my staples in college. The veggies are always fresh. The meats are freshly cut on the slicer. You can customize your sandwiches to basically anything you want. You can buy day old bread for a dollar. That’s right … one single dollar and you get some of the lovingness you can take home. The only thing missing from this place is that I come here sober for lunch rather than 12 – 16 drinks deep at 2 in the morning like I did back in college. Oh yeah … and who doesn’t LOVEFREESMELLS.

The guys and gals of this Jimmy Johns location have literally saved my life. Well, maybe that is a bit extreme, but they have saved me from missing lunch many times when I have gotten too busy at work to go out or forgot to bring my lunch. When I realize that it is after noon and I don’t have time to leave the office, I go online to and order my trusty #12 Beach Club(cut in half… it’s less messy). Within 5 — 10 minutes, without fail, they are knocking on my office door with sandwich in hand. They are truly«freaky fast». The food is standard Jimmy Johns; it is consistently the same. Their location and the speed of the service is what makes this Jimmy Johns stand out from other sandwich places in the area.
