After the walk for the cure we were hungry. A friend said they had breakfast. Perfect opportunity to try something new. Brunch! Order off the breakfast our lunch menu. Sat and Sunday at 10 is brunch with bottomless Mimosas! So we stopped in. Reminded me a yummy truck stop breakfast with eggs, toast and hash browns. My mom had the fruit plate. Holy moly that was a ton of fruit. Quiet and attentive we got our moneys worth in the Mimosas. ;)

House of Bricks, is a rock n roll joint, in the east village that also sells food, and drinks! The recent addition to the rooftop patio is quite nice, but, the only bummer thing about it, is the view of the city or the capital are both blocked by other buildings. But open air is open air and that why I was there last Saturday, to enjoy a beautiful night out! I have seen and played lots of shows here and the sound system is fantastic, it can get pretty loud so bring some plugs! They can also shut a garage door to separate the rock club part from the bar and restaurant if there is no show going on, so that’s kind of nice, and or if a band is sound checking! Drinks here are a little more pricey then other music clubs in town, but its probably one of the only places in town, you can enjoy a steak or fries while you watch a show! So that’s definitely a plus! Last Saturday is was packed here for the annual DMMC’s GDP local music fest, and it was one of those situations where the Air conditioning maybe should have been turned on inside cause it was a sweat box in there! Oh well just made for a more relaxing experience on the rooftop patio between bands.

Great food, especially the jerk chicken sandwich! Nice staff, and they deliver within the downtown DSM area for lunch! Reasonable prices as well.
