Excellent customer service! Joseph was our server and I think he did a great job. We had a whole crab and it was delicious! The white chocolate cake was the best I have ever had. I will definitely be going back.

I live near this Salty’s location so hit it up for a night out; but the food is not the star. It is «good» not exceptional and pricey. However, the bar area offers a limited menu, is reasonably priced and has music on weekends. Recently went specifically to enjoy Ayron jones play guitar. HEISGREAT! He was supposed to play at 7 p.m., but the set up for the entertainer is a joke. The spot he is to occupy has a 2 person table that the restaurant had seated people in and everyone else WAITS until they finish dining. THEN, they whisk the table away, stand the entertainer in this tiny corner directly under a t.v. WITH a basketball game on throughout the entire set. Ayron is good; but this was disrespectful in the extreme. In the summer the deck is available which is nicer; but this particular Salty’s needs to improve on many fronts.

Very pricey place. It was cute but kind of cluttered inside, but I think thats kind of what they are going for. Yet very fancy food! With my food allergies I made sure to ask questions. But right after leaving I was having some reactions, so I know there was something they mustve missed. The waitress seemed on top of it so I am assuming something in the kitchen. That said, the food was good tasting. My husband loved his meal!

Showed au at 1pm and that is close to the end of the show. At this time the prime rib was dry and the breakfast was picked over and not refilled. For $ 50 this was a lot for getting the left overs. The waitress did not ask if we wanted an omelette or crêpe. Sally’s just expects to get paid but does not care about there obligations. Do not show up to the Sunday Buffett after 12:00. Plus the waitress only gave us 1 refill on water. HELPME!

The location is lovely and I love to take a stroll on the walkway by the water. That being said, the food is goo to adequate. I found the coconut shrimp to greasy. They tasted like they had been fried in old grease. The salmon dish was good but the presentation was just okay. The service was good. Everyone was friendly. I would go back but I would stay away from the coconut shrimp.

We went for New Years’ Eve for first time, the menu was so expensive, the table seating was awful. My 8 years old told me that they rip us off :/Waiter was professional and great ! BTW this place is worth only for brunch.

The prices show In the quality of the food. Brian was our waiter. We spent our New Years dinner there. Very proud of his professionalism and patience. As a business manager and college business graduate I appreciate the way he handled his customers. Ordered dungeon crab, filet mignon, and the surf & turf. Got the delicious huckleberry lemon drop, clam chowder, and a crab cake. Everything was fantastic, and food came out in a timely manner. Thank you for a good dinning experience. Austin Padilla

We went to Salty’s at Redondo for our annual holiday dinner with some dear friends. There was a little confusion and they were seated away from us; we didn’t find them for about ½ hour. No big deal, but the staff at Salty’s went overboard to fix it — they were wonderful. Especially our server Dylan — excellent! The food is always good; always a solid B+, but the service was A+. Definitely recommend!

not my favorite; love the other Salty’s — perhaps it was an off day. I ordered clam chowder and what I received was barely warmed(you could see the congealed center of it where the cream had started to re-solidify) — i ordered the basic fish and chips, the latter was soggy and the former were very bready. Hmmmm… I suppose I can try again, but with the plethora of places around, it might be awhile.

The food is okay there service is great ! The view is amazing especially on a nice summer day. Kinda pricy for a salad with seafood. I would never recommend the salad to anyone. The pasta and other dishes are decent !

This was my second time at Salty’s and it was as great as the first time. Started with their nice Calamari, followed by their great Chowder and finished it with their awesome Seafood Fettuccini(had mine spicy), so goooooood So if you like seafood and a great location, try Salty’s! You’ll become a regular like me. And don’t forget to ask for Brian. He’ll take care of you. Service with Smile.

Head there on a Saturday or Sunday for their all you can eat brunch. Hot and cold eats. My children absolutely loved it. My daughter couldn’t get over how many shrimp were pouring out of the barrel. They had a dessert table which was full of al sorts of delicacies. Yum!!! Server was extremely happy and very much on top of helping keep the table clean. Did very well!!! Thank you and we will come back again.

I love this place! Even if the food wasn’t fabulous the views and very friendly staff would keep me coming back for more. I’ve been for a late lunch as well as Happy Hour on week days and weekends and have never disappointed. I’ve had the oysters(a first for me), the Manila clams(soooooooo amazingly yummy!!!), and their version of a prawn cocktail. My friend ordered oysters(a few different ways), the Manila clams, the flank steak salad(looks fabulous!) and various yummies from the HH menu. They also have a good amount of gluten free options and are all knowledgable — and KIND — about the allergy. Cannot wait to go back!

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the seafood. It was pretty sad that the cost of the fish bar outside actually drove us inside(with 3 kids) to test the full menu(well done, it worked). We were still able to order some of the same items we had planned for our littles, and were happy to have tried the Salty’s version of the trending northwest seafood selections! Nothing stood out as extravagant. Dated décor. Friendly, casual atmosphere. The price point was suggestive of a lower level of exclusivity that made me question only my decision to ‘dine in’ with young children to possibly bother other diners. I had only been to this location once before many years ago and had no plans of returning. Nothing too bad, just wasn’t impressed. I am happy to say that this recent trip turned things around! Add some of the locations of seafood sources would be my only ask(but I am a seafood SNOB, so that may not be important to many! Well done!

Go to the Salty’s on Alki if you can, not Redondo! The food at Redondo is mediocre at best. We’ve been twice now and have decided we wont be going back. The salmon Eggs Benedict were more like a hard boiled egg on a burnt english muffin with a very salty sauce. The cinnamon rolls were so hard, they seamed like they had been sitting out for days.(Note: the cinnamon rolls at the Alki location are very tasty and bready!) The other breakfast items were ok, but not amazing. The crab was good, and several of the desserts were also tasty like the carrot cake and crème brûlée. The chocolate fountain however was not great, it tasted chalky. The service was great however. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and the rest of the staff was also very friendly. We decided on two stars because we realize that the draw the glutenous buffet, and there is all you can eat crab. Plus the service. But we really recommend the Alki location over the Redondo Beach one. Alki has about 3 time the options, including a massive dessert section. We found when we left Salty’s Redondo we were saying«Why did we do that?» We we leave Salty’s Alki we find we are saying«I regret nothing!»

This place is great! It’s very easy to get to and has free parking plus a spectacular view. I came here to celebrate an anniversary with my folks, and they treated us wonderfully. We came on a Saturday night and there was live music in the bar area, and the artist was amazing. The menu is large and has a great variety to choose from including gluten-free options which are noted. The servers were very friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Things ordered at the table: seafood fettuccine(large quantity with lots of seafood), grilled steelhead(gluten-free), seafood medley with cod, prawns, scallops over mashed potatoes and grilled halibut. All fish was cooked perfectly and seasoning was great. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Beautiful area in Des Moines… great service, only thing is food isn’t worth the price. I paid 16.00 for a tuna melt and tators which is a fair price being that it kept me full for the rest of the day… However The hubby had the fish and chips which he thought was bland and needed seasoning… And The rest of our party had fish and chips and the seafood medley… Everyone was content with their meal but not wowed and for the $$$ we spent I’d at least expect us to be satisfied… I would come back for a simple day date with the hubby but not sure the hubster would.
