Yesterday 3 of my friends went to dew drop, it was around 4 in the afternoon. There were 7 tables open. The bouncer proceeded to tell us we could have a table for two or wait for the two guys to leave the one occupied table out of seven open tables. This is not the first time this bouncer has treated me and my friends this way. This guy treats people with such disrespect. This place isn’t worth dealing with him.

Arrived early saturday night with two friends, several tables were available, yet the bouncer told us we were not able to be seated, that we should wait for others to leave, even though several tables were empty! Obviously on a power trip, this is Derby not Manhatten!!! We have spent hundreds on a regular basis and were turned away!!! Yes you are busy now, but This wanna be a snob atitude has just lost several patrons and several of their friends! Word of mouth will ultmately do you in!

Had to wait 20 minutes before getting to order even though there were only three groups in the entire place. Then had to ask 3 times for napkins with our wings. The first two from our waitress who never brought any, the third time from the bartender actually brought them. Waitress never came back to offer us drink refills. Eventually gave us the bill, but never came back to take my payment(paid at the bar after waiting 15 minutes). Food isn’t bad, which is why it got two stars instead of one. With lots of places nearby in downtown Shelton, I wouldn’t go back.

Have you had their wings? For whatever reason restaurants tend to over look transforming something simple to spectacular, but no Dew Drop. With their varitiy of flavors ranging from sweet to savory to spice there is something for everybody to enjoy.

not your standard dive bar. deep and creative selection of wing toppings/sauces, solid beer selection and reasonable prices. my favorite wings ive tried are the maple butter bacon, the honey hot, and any of the flavors that involve peanut butter. ive heard really good things about the cream cheese jalepeno as well. visited today with my friend who is vegan and they were very accommodating when she requested changes to her tacho order. point is: dont under estimate this place.

Wings. Wings! WINGS!!! 140 varieties of them. I mean, this is wing heaven! hot wings, spicy wings, sweet wings and all delicious. PB&J wings. heavy, but good. On 2 trips, the service has been terrific and the wings are something to write home about. Even tried the Fried pickle appetizer, HUGE order. Like Trump’s ego-huge. Sweet pickles, fried well. Delicious! If you’re in the area nad not a vegan, GO!

Love the Dew! Incredible selection of wing flavors, and I’ve never been disappointed in any of the ones I’ve tried. Only downside is they’re ten wings to an order — no mixing up flavors. So it’ll take a while to try a lot of different flavors. Beer selection is always out of this world and is constantly changing. Excellent staff, half-price wings on Mondays, and live music on Wednesdays. Such a great spot. Room is a little tight, but worth it.

Easily the best wings in the Valley. They have the craziest combinations from regular mild to pb&j to s’mores and so on. Good drink selection also. My only complaint is that I wish they had more space. You really can’t go wrong with any of them, however, the sweet chili Asian glaze might be my favorite. I’m never disappointed at the Dew Drop Inn.

Food is absolutely awesome!!! The wings are the best that I have ever had. They have so many flavors but my favorite is the TTB(teriyaki tabasco butter) The wings are always so crispy. The burgers here are pretty awesome too! If you haven’t been here for wings, you are truly missing out!!! Service is always fast and friendly!

Finally got a chance to try Dew Drop. First-this place gets extremely busy. We got there at 6pm on a Wednesday the first time and there were zero seats at the bar and a 45 min wait for a table. Went back the following Monday at 4:30pm and although still pretty busy, were able to get seats at the bar. Service was friendly and efficient. They have a lot of regulars but I found them to be very friendly to newcomers. The menu is overwhelming when it comes to wing flavors as well a lot of non-wing items. I feel like I could eat everything on the menu and will definitely make that a goal over time. The beer menu is excellent… a ton of great, rotating craft beers on tap. The wings were terrific. I tried the Cajun BBQ and the Peanut Butter and Jelly… a ton of great/unique flavor and nice and crispy. This place definitely competes with J. Tim’s and has an unreal number of options. I just wish it was bigger and closer… although that might be dangerous. Excited to go back.

The people are very friendly. The outrageous varieties of sauces for the wings are out of this world. I love the neighborhood corner bar vibe.

From the outside, this looks like a standard Valley dive bar. I grew up in the Valley, and really don’t mean that as an insult… it’s just pretty nondescript from the outside and you expect to go in and just see a few locals hanging at the bar watching TV. However, when we went inside(mid afternoon on a Sunday), it was jammed!!! Every table filled, people waiting everywhere. My only complaint would be that on my first time, it was hard to figure out what to do as far as putting my name on a list or just grabbing a table as it opened. But my husband went up to the bar and asked and we got on the list. We got seated pretty quickly, I think it helped we were a table of two, they seated us at a shared table in the back with another party of two(but with a couple seats in between us). They have a pretty good list of craft beers, but they do have other beers too. They didn’t give us a list of those, you just have to ask what they have on tap/in bottles. They brought our drinks very quickly, and we took some time to figure out what wings to order. Several of their appetizers sounded amazing, but we were there for wings and planning to order 3 orders of 10 so we could try more flavors, so there just was no room for apps. Maybe next time. One of the servers mentioned that they had recently closed for renovation and when they reopened, they had several special wing flavors to add to the menu. I counted them all up, 117 flavors of wings in total. How do you choose? I read reviews, asked friends who have been there in the past, asked the servers… everyone has a different favorite, it really is personal preference. So for our first two flavors we tried core stuff that we know we usually like. I opted for Honey Hot BBQ, and my husband got Spicy Asian Glaze. Then we threw in Peanut Butter and Jelly wings for a fun third selection. It took a while for the wings to come out, but they kept the drinks coming, so that was good. When they arrived they looked great. Large wings, heavily sauced, they remembered my ranch in addition to the blue cheese(that seems like the hardest thing for most people to remember for some reason), so I was happy. They also serve the PB&J wings with fluff, which is cute(and tasty)! Quality of the wings — amazing. Cooked perfectly, nice and crispy, just how I like them. Plenty of sauce. But I think I was a little disappointed in our sauce selections. I like honey BBQ and this was fine but was not«hot»…similarly, the Asian glaze was not«spicy.» So I guess unless they show a pepper(or more than one pepper) next to the flavor, it’s probably not spicy, regardless of the name. I didn’t really like the Asian glaze, too sweet/gingery for me, there was just something about it that I did not personally like. But my husband loved them. The PB&J was okay. It’s not the first time I’ve had that flavor, and the other place I had them did what I feel was a better job of incorporating PB + J together into a sauce that was equally distributed on the wings. These had peanut butter on them, and then globs of grape jelly on top. Like, big chunks. Not easy to eat together, and we had no utensils so I was grabbing globs of jelly with my hands and mushing them on top of the wings. Not my most graceful moment, but eating wings never usually is. I liked that they came with fluff, that was a nice touch. But I probably wouldn’t order them again. Service was AMAZING. We didn’t have one set server, all of the servers were running around helping everyone. We always had someone checking on us and everyone was super friendly. So…I will definitely be back to work my way through the other 114 flavors that I did not get to try on my first visit. Wings themselves are definitely some of the best I’ve ever had, so I just need to find that«WOW» flavor for myself and I’ll be golden. I would also like to try some of the apps and the burgers looked great too! For those who mentioned bad parking — when you pass the restaurant on your right, continue up about half a block, and on the left there is a street, turn there and there is a parking lot right on the corner. It is very large and has ample parking. You need the walk to work off your drinks and food… so just park your car there, walk to the restaurant, and don’t complain about it! :)

Overhyped! The wings are decent but not great. Soggy and honestly– I like hot buffalo not a tangy hot sauce. It had a sweet undertone. Parking is terrible. Staff are friendly. I guess if I am going to a place where there is a bouncer outside all day/night– have to wonder«why bother».

Realized I never reviewed this place and I was shocked! This is one of my top 3 wing places in CT, their flavors are great, the wings are big and crispy and they have a great tap list. My favorite is the kickass bayou whether it’s the wings or their grilled chicken wrap with this sauce. I also really liked their tots. I’m not even a big tots fan but I like these! I’ve had a bunch of their other flavors which range from nachos(that come out looking like nachos), Parmesan garlic, maple bacon, Asian chili, spicy honey mustard, etc. they have like 50 types and one of their most famous is pb&j with a side of fluff. Yes you heard right. So there are 3 reasons I gave 4 stars and not 5. Cause believe me the food is 5 if not more! 1. Depending on the day/night u can wait up to 45 mins for your food. It’s a small place and what looks like an even smaller kitchen. However it’s worth the wait! 2. I don’t like the sizes the wings come in– you have no option, you get 10. So because they have so many flavors you want the option for smaller qty so you can try a lot but they just don’t allow that. So my suggestion is come with a group so you each order one and share as a table. 3. It’s a small place so big groups are hard to accommodate or you might show up and not have a seat for a while. They definitely need a bigger space but I do enjoy the current space. It gives it that local charm. Overall if you haven’t been here and you like wings get your butt over there asap!

Like everyone else has mentioned — WINGS. My wife ordered the sweet & spicy plum, I went with the maple butter bacon wings. Crispy outer coating, tasty sauces — an excellent wing. I liked her flavor a bit more than mine, but both were very good. My wife also had a pair of Bloody Marys — they were extremely good(she tells me). Crowd was mostly late 40’s, 50ish(our age group). Service was stellar, we’ll be back in the future.

The best wings I have ever had, seriously. I love all the different flavor combinations. They really have something for everyone. Some of My favorites are the Parmesan butter, honey hot, honey butter, and peanut butter and jelly. I look forward to getting brought the entire wings menu. Don’t be intimidated by this biker bar. The people are very nice, the atmosphere is great, the service is friendly, and the food is all that and more! Try it!

This place is the best little hole in the wall. I was expecting a great big place since it had so many reviews but it small but cozy and very welcoming. Right on route 34. The waitresses float around to any table so it gets kinda hectic when they ask you over and over agin if you need something but can’t really complain about good service. Anyways the wing selection is ridiculous you’d have to look at pics of the menu to believe it. I tried the nacho wings that were literally a plate of nachos with wings stuck in sooo good especially their guac. We also got the spicy peanut butter with fluff dip… so weird but so good!!! The loaded tots were nothing to talk about. The only thing that threw me off was the actual wings were very cooked and dry. Idk if they’re always made like that or just an off night. They had a pretty decent beer selection too. I definitely recommend it just for the crazy wing combos!

Had a disappointing meal in Shelton and remembered that this spot was a few streets away. We were still hungry so I brought it up and my friend was down. It was around 7:30ish and the place was packed, so we had to find parking on a side street. The bouncer puts your name on the list if you want to wait for a table. We told him we would wait and made a B-line to the bar. Mind you this isn’t a big spot, it probably has a max of 20 tables. We were just going to order drinks when a tall guy(dont know his position there) brought over a chair since there was an empty one, but instead the girls sitting next to the empty chair moved down a seat for my friend and I. We sat down and one by one, all three of the bartenders greeted us, not something that I experience often. Pleasantly surprised. The list of wing sauces is insane. I kept it safe with the Jack Daniels BBQ wings and my friend had the Spicy Ranch & Bacon wings. Both were superb! As our drinks diminished, we were offered another beer before it was completely done. This is my kind of place. Seriously. Friendly and amazing service. Will definitely come back more often. Have to try some more of the wings, they’re half priced on Mondays!
