View is awesome — worth it to wait for a table by the window! Service was decent, not fantastic — had some uncomfy moments with our waiter(s)… They cleaned up the area around us while we were seated, took really long to bring us the check, misunderstood our order etc. The food seemed to be hit or miss. For example, the cioppino(seafood stew) was awful — super fishy smelling and tasting(not at all fresh), and flavour of the tomato soup didn’t make up for it at all. On the other hand the red curry bbq’d shrimp and Seahawk bread were to die for! Must must get. We also tried the steamed clams and they were good, not great. Regretted getting bread pudding desert, it had an insane amount of whiskey in it because they thought that when we said we want extra sauce, we meant whiskey… I feel like at that point they could’ve gotten us another bread pudding, but instead they just got us another plate to take the dessert out of the whiskey sea. Suffice to say didn’t really help the taste and we hardly touched it. Overall I would come back and give some of their other things a try and would recommend… The BBQ shrimp was that good: P

Our new favorite restaurant on the beach! The view is amazing! We loved everything we ate! The calamari was lightly breaded, fresh and perfectly seasoned. All the fish was fresh and perfectly seasoned. We appreciate that they adhere to the Seafood Watch for their sourcing. I loved my cocktail, Peppy the Pig: bourbon, brown sugar, orange zest and old fashioned bitters. Great staff! We went back again, and plan to make it a regular for us.

Service was attentive and the food was wonderful. The two tiers of seating provide good views of the harbor so most seats are good choices. We were fortunate to enjoy seating along the glass without obstruction to see the occasional whale surface and a wonderful sunset.

My heart was set on a stop at Mo’s for clam chowder but a friend recommended Tidal Rave in Depoe Bay instead. I am SO glad we came to the Rave for lunch. An unbelievable view of the ocean from the dining room. I had the crab cakes, and they were exquisite. The clam chowder was pretty amazing, too. Very attentive service; an extensive menu of great dishes; and very lovely ambiance. Our meal at Tidal Rave was the best meal we enjoyed during our week-long Oregon trip!

Million dollar view very friendly atmosphere and the prices were very reasonable. Our meals came out fast even though they were busy. Try and get a window seat you won’t be disappointed!

Wow. What an amazing view. Breathtaking. Coming here just to look at the coast is worth it alone. Normally, places that have good views just have okay food(because the view is enough to bring customers in). This place, on the other hand, is the full package. We ordered the steamed clams to start, bbq curry shrimp, and pasta rave. Clams were great. Curry shrimp was bomb dot com. Pasta rave was good. Tip… Ask for a window seat, and if it is all filled up, ask to wait for a seat. The view is worth the visit alone.

My husband and I were more impressed with the views at our table than with our food. I enjoyed the polenta and sweet pepper«Florentine». He had the coconut shrimp. Both were good, although I could have enjoyed a little more spice or flavor to my polenta. The desserts sounded yummy so we ordered the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla bean ice cream. It was kind of a let down. We expected a soft baked cookie barely out of the oven with the ice cream melting on top, but instead it was a stale over baked cookie. That part could have been better. Overall, I am satisfied and filled with a delicious meal, but I feel like I could have enjoyed something else more. If I were a drinker, than maybe that would’ve changed my view. The wine list there was extensive.

Had the Seahawk bread. Amazing… I had the Mac and Cheese which was also great. Chowder was average. Old fashion drink was also amazing. Service was good, front guy was awesome and our waitress was good. You have to be patient when u have 2 toddlers at your table… NOWIFI and no reception… How am I going to keep my toddlers inline :). TV is the only way. Overall the experience was good, would of loved a window view but didn’t make reservations so my bad. Food was good…

I’ve been here a couple of times for lunch and it was really nice. The prices are a bit cheaper than dinner and you get the incredible view in the day time. Both times, I was here with my mother or someone else’s mother. It’s quiet and peaceful, perfect place to bring mom. The last time I had a fantastic cocktail while my mom had homemade kombucha! Both were yummy. We were cold from being down on the beach so we warmed up with clam chowder. It’s good one here, creamy and flavorful with bacon and plenty of clams. Then we each had a lunch dish — mine was coconut shrimp on a coleslaw salad. The shrimp were amazing but the salad was drowned in dressing and sitting in a pool of sauce. It was all so sweet, I could hardly eat it. My mom’s was always drowned in sauce but she didn’t like hers so took a bit of mine. If I were to come back, I would definitely get sauces on the side. And Tidal Raves, take it easy! The food is good, it doesn’t need all that sauce.

Yummy local fine dining seafood. Sat at the bar alone and enjoyed an awesome view to go with my yummy meal and fine wine. I order the local herb crusted rockfish it was made with red snapper. The cream sauce was to die for and the meal came included with soup or salad. Did I mention the view?!

A friend of ours suggested this place and it didn’t dissapoint. The food was great and the view was even better. There are seals to watch right out the window and we also sighted a whale while eating a yummy lunch. The only bad thing I have to say is that we went with a group of 8 and they didn’t have room for us so split us up. We were sitting next to each other but had separate waitresses. Ours was fantastic but our other group was waiting forever for drinks and food that we ended up leaving without them.

My favorite place on the coast. Perfect location and great food. Really hard to get in without reservations so book ahead(!). Tonight started with the delicious oyster bisque with spinach, so savory and delicious. Followed with razor clams, really nicely done in a thin breading that doesn’t hide the clams. Second time here, love the view and so far the food is uniformly good.

Two previous experiences here were good, not great. This time the servers switched during our meal and it was a disaster. This was a business meal with an engineer and an I.T. guy from Dublin Ireland I would have really liked to impress. Unfortunately switching servers during the meal was the first mistake that could have been the issue or perhaps not the only issue but the service was an issue. The wife of the engineer had to send her steak back to be cooked further as it was bloody. I was actually shocked as this had been a great dish the last time I was here. Granted I think that well done steak is a travesty, but she was very specific and emphatic that she wanted it cooked through. My wife said her salmon was overcooked… the actual quote she used, abd I am not kidding… was, «hocky puck». Now I happen to think salmon should be undercooked… or seared like tuna but she is happy when it is cooked through. Apparently this was way past that. Then I had ordered a salad with shrimp and didnt get it. I had the bowl of oyster spinich bisque that had zero oysters in it and thus I didnt finish it. The bread whuch was granted for free, was smashed flat and if you know Irelad folks, they really like their bread. I was embarassed that this topic led us away from the business conversation that was supposed to be taking place. My dish came as a pile of fish, breadcake and other squished together mushy gelatinous stuff that I could not recogize. I literally could not see the fish versus the bread cake and the veg was squished inside this lump on the plate. It was a hunk of hot mess of a mushball that was really without flavor. I sent it back and asked for 8 shrimp and had the waitress run down how the dish was made. I was so concerned I would get another mushball I had them make it without the polenta. Just a note to the chef, if the polenta was grilled or seared it wouuld have been a good addition but I was afraid you would have stir fried it into a mushball. got a california stirfry of mixed shrimp which were still tail on… fine for a shrinmp coctail but this was a prepared dish and I had to use my fingers to rip off the tails and devein the shrinmp myself. Yuk. Shrimp shit in my food. Honestly for a 20 – 25 dollar plate of food I want to be overwhelmed. This time i was disgusted. The one star I gave was two stars for view and setting until I called the next day and spoke with the manager and he couldn’t have cared less. This has terrible service. I have had better service at a fast food place and will be passing on this sentiment to my collegues that come to the coast to entertain business guests from abroad.

This place is spot on. We visited while taking a drive down the coast. Perfect location with probably the best view from any restaurant I’ve seen, ever. I had the clam chowder and the razor clams. My girlfriend had the fish tacos. Everything was fantastic. Craft beer and cocktail list were just right. Service was great. Check this place out. It’s awesome.

Giving them an extra star for great service. I was dining alone on a busy weekend day on the coast and went in for an early dinner. All of the tables including the tables by the windows overlooking the beautiful bay were taken. The host took my name for the next table and several larger parties came in right after me. Rather than putting me at a smaller table at the back(which has actually happened to me when dining alone) the host seated me at the next available table, which happened to be a table for four right in front of the windows with the best view. I had a lovely dinner, great local Pinot, salmon chowder, with house made sourdough bread, and a half dozen oysters, fresh and delicious, with bread pudding for dessert. All for under $ 30, plus a view as gorgeous as any you could find!

I’ve dined here twice. It’s very convenient to my lodging in that area. My first visit was mid-summer 2015, and the view was simply amazing. Service was quite good, and the food was adequate to good(I ordered four or five items). I’d give that experience a good solid four-star rating. I was actually eager to return to Tidal Raves when I was back in the area in early November. Got to the restaurant about 5:30 on a Friday, and was immediately seated. The same gentleman who served me in mid summer was my server on this second visit, and he is a very good server. This time of year, it gets dark early, so the view was non-existent; that’s just life. However, what the heck was going on with the food on this trip? Smoked salmon chowder. If I had not been told it was«smoked salmon chowder,» I would never have guessed, because I couldn’t detect any smokiness or any salmon, except for some tiny crumbles. It was a nice bowl of flour-cream paste. Then I had the pan-fried razor clams. I have had razor clams in tiny diners. I have had them in five-star restaurants. I have cooked them at home. I have NEVER had such tough razor clams in my life, and that is due only to poor cooking technique. The kitchen was clearly having problems. This visit was two stars, at best, which yields a two-visit average of three stars.

Great view! I stopped in for a quick bite after hiking around — was definitely a bit under-dressed as everyone else was in nicer«beach fancy» attire… Had a full order of the seahawk bread which was great! It could use a little more moisture but the flavors are there. We also had a smoked salmon chowder and that was great as well! This place has a great view
