The atmosphere was great and the food was absolutely fantastic. I was a little embarrassed that my sister from Long Valley had to tell me about my new favorite restaurant in Denville when I’ve lived in Denville for over 25 years. So happy now!

Service here at The Tuscan Table is prompt. Amazing food with reasonable prices. The atmosphere here makes you feel like your in Italy. This place deserves beyond a 5 star rating. Definitely will come back here soon.

Went to Tuscan Table tonight expecting to see a executive chef we know. Come to find, he no longer works here. The place was very clean and cozy. The staff was excellent. Very attentive. Upon seeing that the chef we had come to see no longer worked here, we expected the worst. We where pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent ! The calamari was perfectly fried. I had the fisherman Fra Diavoli which was excellent. Can’t wait till our next visit

Went with large party on a Tuesday after Christmas. Service was great and everyone seemed pleased with their meals. I got a cajun tuna special cooked rare. It was good quality and cooked just right. Only thing we weren’t that into was the side potatoes. They were Meh and not a match for the type of food. We will definitely go back.

Great ambiance, great food and even better service. If you’re in Denville and want some delicious Italian food and don’t want to make a trip all the way to NYC Tuscan table is your best bet! They have family style ordering and a long list of daily specials. I came here with a party of 3, the wait was about 30 minutes but once we dug into our meals it was well worth the wait. They do not have the largest dining area so be prepared to wait if you go during prime-time hours. We had the eggplant rolitini, lasagna and chicken parm which were all phenomenal. Nothing was lacking taste or texture and the meals were enough to serve 6 people! Their bread appetizer honestly is good enough to make you order more or even opt out of ordering the appetizer. I highly recommend this BYOB restaurant for parties 3 – 9, I personally didn’t see a party larger than 9 so I can’t speak to their maximum capacity, all-in-all great find and will definitely come back for some more lasagna, thanks Tuscan Table for a great dining experience very close to home!

Another great experience. Staff was attentive and food was great. There was a slight mix-up over a modification my wife made to her main course and our waiter and a manager immediately corrected it and even offered to prepare a second dish to take home at no charge. Will continue to recommend this spot to friends and family.

After a long day at work and then coming home to finish closing up the pool for the season, I worked up quite an appetite. My wife, who had also been doing housework all day, suggested we venture out for dinner so she wouldn’t have to clean yet again. Donning our sweats and looking completely disheveled, we headed to Denville(since we did not want to travel very far). We took a short spin through town by all the usual places but did not feel inspired. Finally, we agreed on the Tuscan Table since we knew it was relatively new and we had never tried it. Our expectations were admittedly low since we are usually disappointed, but to our pleasant surprise we found a new favorite. We opened the door and realized we were too casually dressed, but In spite of our appearance, they led us to a table. The focaccia bread with pesto was delicious and very reminiscent of the Garlic Rose Bistro’s(Madison) bread starter. My wife went the meatless route and ordered the Rigatoni with eggplant, sun-dried tomatoes, and mozzarella. Everything in the dish was slightly undercooked but the light sauce was extremely flavorful. My wife found it to be perfect for her meatless preference. She said it was similar to the rigatoni con melanzane that Pane vino(Livingston) used to serve. I opted for the crab cake special after consulting with our server. WOW, it was 5 star worthy. The crabmeat was fresh and it was showcased beautifully within a mixture that allowed the crab to shine. The cakes were basking in an amazing champagne cream sauce and sitting on a bed of creamy heavenly risotto. Perfectly cooked asparagus was arranged around the plate to compliment. While the décor is not ground breaking it was pleasant enough and comfortable and roomy. I am perplexed by the few severely negative reviews because for the money, this restaurant is clearly worth it.

The fettuccine with crab meat and asparagus in a cream sauce was disappointing. Two of my dinner guests ordered that meal, and each were able to find about a tablespoon of crab meat in each of their meals. The rigatoni with bolognese was equally disappointing, and the sausage’s skin was so tough that it was nearly impossible to cut. As we walked out, several of the wait staff were just standing around on their phones, though they did wish us a good night and awkwardly hoped that we enjoyed our meal(since they all saw that we only ate about a quarter of what was on our plates).

Everything was delicious. We had the minestrone and pasta fagioli to start. The soups were a little salty but were still very tasty. We both ordered the pollo arribbiata which was tender flavorful and the potatos were perfectly roasted. Everying was fresh.

My wife and I tried Tuscan Table last night on the recommendation of a few friends in town. We liked the fact that the prices were reasonable and that it was a BYOB. They started off with two large pieces of soft baked Italian bread with pesto and a half of a small tomato on top. This was a welcomed change from the normal basket of dry bread that you get at most restaurants. The bread was nice and soft and the combination of the pesto and tomato was great. We ordered the Tuscan Antipasto as an appetizer. The way it was presented on the menu made us think that it would be a traditional Italian antipasto of a plate with some meats, cheeses and maybe stuffed mushrooms or something like that. What we got was a bunch of iceberg lettuce with some rolls of salami, ham, and provolone on top. I basically get the same thing from a pizzeria for half the price. That was definitely the most disappointing part of the meal. I ordered the special which was shrimp and crab ravioli with shrimp and asparagus on top with a cognac sauce. The sauce was very bland but the shrimp and ravioli were cooked well. My wife had chicken parm. She’s from Italy so she was interested in trying their sauce. The chicken was cooked great. The breading was a little crispy and the chicken was tender and moist. The sauce was good, not great but it definitely didn’t taste like it was out of a can. Overall I don’t know if we would go back though since we both felt like another Italian restaurant close by was a little bit better. The ambiance of the place was nice. There were a couple loud tables but we were still able to have a conversation without shouting at each other. The décor was an updated Tuscan feel which was nice.

What a wonderful restaurant! I sent my parents(also happen to be local merchants) there for their anniversary dinner. They raved about the place from start to finish! The service was timely and friendly, the food was fantastic, and the ambiance was just right! All in all, a great place for a great time!

It was really good. We all enjoyed the food. The service was attentive but not overbearing. I read the earlier reviews and it looks like the got rid of some kinks and everything is running smoothly. Will definitely be back.

If you’re looking for a restaurant with good food, don’t go here. When first walking in, the restaurant did not feel Italian; if anything, it felt Western. If it wasn’t for the pictures of Italy and Adam Levine on the radio, I would have thought I walked into the wrong restaurant. The restaurant itself is also very dark, and although cozy feeling, the décor is confusing. The service did not feel welcoming nor was it attentive. The whole time there my water was filled once. And, then there was the wait. An hour after ordering the food arrived(mind you, there were less than 15 customers, and 4 were already eating) and what I saw was disappointing. I don’t cook much, but what I ordered could have easily been made at home. I ordered the Tre which is a chicken wrap with mozzarella, pesto and peppers. It not only took an hour to get the food, but when it came, the side of fries were prefrozen and the wrap was so oily that I could barely hold onto it. After 3 minutes the fries were completely inedible as they became cold and oddly chewy; the oil pouring off the wrap did not help add flavor to the fries either. In general, the service lacked experience, the food was bland and lacked any Italian character, and the ambiance was one that was confusing and unfriendly. My stomach regrets this visit. Will not be returning again.

Tonight’s pork special was to die for! The complimentary focaccia was the best ever! Seems like more favor and ingredients vary on a daily basis, tonight it included olives and peppers which were an excellent bonus! I didn’t remember them being included in my last visit but that time it was also outstanding! The more ingredients the merrier to me, I love it all! Another Special included a Build your own tilapia… just tell them any ingredients, any cooking method u want it and they will make it, so super accommodating! They made many suggestions but it nice to suggest a sauce and add as many ingredients as u like cause I happened to like a lot. Portions are huge so u get 2 to 3 meals for the price of one:) They are also very kid friendly. U can get half portions of anything on the menu or request anything your child would want?! They make chicken fingers and French fries, home made mozzarella sticks(best Ive ever had) or any kinda pasta and sauce your children wants! Staff is accommodating and the head chef is so flexible! If u don’t see it on the menu, they will make it! it’s a great place for friends, couples, or families. Such a new pleasure to denville, I see them being successful, wish them the best of luck and look forward to my next visit! I have talked to so mAny friends with outstanding reviews too… wish they were Unilocalers like me, seems FB Denville resident are the best fans and talk amongst their closest friends?!? Best advice… give them a shot and make a reservation on Friday or Saturday night cause this restaurant is the best addition to town and the word is spreading. Also a BYOB… so super fair and no alcohol up charges(my fav)!! Family owned and operated so s everyone appreciates all the feedback and takes it to heart!

They take reservations! We didn’t know that and did have to wait a bit on a Saturday night, which is expected. Overall, food was good, very large portions. My kids loved the focaccia bread which came complimentary. This was a nice touch. Décor is pleasant. I think they need to work out a few kinks with service, but I would definitely go back again! Mediocre food and the service was lacking. We were happy to find a new BYOB in town. We were looking forward to adding Tuscan Table to our list of regular restaurants in Denville. It was a very disappointing dinner.

The seating arrangements were comfortable. I liked the way they had areas sectioned off so there was privacy. The tables were large and the seats comfortable. The focaccia they give you at the beginning of the meal is a nice touch. It was fresh, hot and full if flavors from the tomato, pesto and cheese. My husband and I started iff with the fried calamari. It was a huge disappointment. The coating was soggy and not crisp enough. There were no legs! Legs are my favorite part. The marinara sauce was tasty though. For the entrée, I had the homemade papadelle with meat sauce. It was tasty, but the papadelle did not taste homemade. It tasted like ordinary dried pasta cooked. I was disappointed because I was expecting that nice chewiness you get when you bite into fresh homemade pasta. My husband had the clams with spaghetti. That was delicious. It had a bountiful amount of fresh clams and chopped clams. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly and the sauce was garlicky. We thought the place for what you get was a little on the high side. Based on the quality of the food and the price, I don’t think we would be back. Bid the prices were lower, we definitely would come back.
