Viva Streets

Walked into this festival completely by accident and ended up spending more than an hour exploring the area.
The street was blocked off for bicycles. I wished I had my own to ride! Lots of vendors and information booths set up to promote biking and other types of green living.
Being new to the area, it was great to have all of the sidewalk sales that gave me an idea of what each store was about. When I saw something I liked outside, I took a step in for a further look.
Just a few of the activities I found: hula hoop contest at Ohh! Aah! Jewelry, belly dance performance, and agave nectar soda tastings out of the back of a truck.

Pleasant.
OK.
Not enough people, so a bit boring.

Great concept and hope to see it expand in the coming years. Fun for everyone.
