Vita Flats

Don’t be fooled by dressing in this old building. You cannot control heat, plumbing problems, small bathrooms, no onsite management, elevator problems, and don’t drink the water. Location is OK, but watch out for Alley people. The rooftop view is wonderful, but that’s this buildings only saving grace. The rents are equal to the area but not to what is offered.

I chose this apartment after searching for a 55+ community. Location, views, reasonable rents. But the leasing agent misrepresented the future of the building which was rapidly changing from 55+ with scheduled activities to multi-​generation with market value rents to attract a much younger crowd. Now fixed income seniors and vets are moving elsewhere because of the 30% rent hike. They say everyone is doing it and it’s just business but the stress to continue to live here is not worth it. I gave my notice and hope my building neighbors will be able to find another place to live as well. A big disappointment and I was seduced by the roof deck view. However, one does not live on the roof deck. I learned more than I care to know about market value while living here.

Let me just start off by saying I thoroughly enjoyed living at Vita Flats! I first moved in September of 2014, and I left April of 2015. I needed a place that respected the fact that some people need short term leasing, without a specific move out date. lol as I was planning a relocation to Florida and my job relocation date was up in the air. Anna Popova was EXTREMELY helpful and just great throughout my stay there! She helped me with every request promptly, and she literally helped make my stay there less stressful. I am 34, so I was one of the youngest tenants at the building. So if you are afraid of the older generation you may not particularly like Vita Flats. I personally was just recently engaged, long distance until my relocation to Florida, so I wanted a place that was clean, quiet, and close to my job. Most importantly, budget friendly! This place fit the bill in every way.
Lastly, I will just say that not only was my stay there wonderful, but I just received my full deposit back (I did try my best to return the apartment in the same condition in which it was rented to me) in the time frame in which I was promised. What a great management and staff team! If I ever moved back to Denver, CO I would definitely rent here again!
