Tuscany Coffee & Deli

Tuscany Coffee and Deli is the right place to stop and go. If you’re in a place near Tuscany why don’t you try it for yourself. First of all, the place and ambiance is wide and cozy, many tables and chairs to hang out for food. Such a good place for pastries and bagels and a cup of coffee @ your prefered flavored coffee and preparation. I just had my cup of Latte and the Sicilian. It’s tasty and creamy. It’s hot and smooth… I will be back here from time to time… See yuh!!!

I have gone to this place SOLELY because of convenience. I work in the building and sometimes the weather outside is too miserable to walk across the street to UMB when I forget breakfast. The prices are ridiculous. They are easily more expensive than Starbucks. Sure they can argue that everything is fresh, etc., but a simple bagel sandwich should not run me $ 6 at a tiny coffee shop. Also– their menu on their website is way outdated.
One time, my co-​worker (who frequents this place) ordered a sandwich and by mistake they put tomatoes on it. When she told them that it was fine and she would still take it, they had the nerve to tell her she had to PAY for the tomatoes! I would’ve told them to re-​make it but she was too shy. Argh!
The friendly staff and yummy «everything» bagel do not justify the $$$$. Skip this place and go to the third floor at the UMB tower caddy-​corner from Wells Fargo. More options, bigger portions, half the cost. Mic drop.

Been going here for over a year now and am never disappointed in the Sicilian! It’s just the right amount of meat vs cheese and fills you right up in the morning. Phil always has a smile on his face and it’s refreshing to see the owner involved in his business on a regular basis!

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Ordered the Italian Chef. The lettace was crisp, the toppings were very cold, and the dressing complemented the flavors. The artichokes are marinated (as an fyi). I ordered an ice tea which was a typical tea. The following morning I stopped in for a cappuccino and it was great (and the prices are less than other chains). So go local and come here.

I used to work in the Well’s Fargo building and this was the perfect place to grab a snack or lunch on days where it was too hot or cold to venture outside. They were always incredibly friendly, and most of my coworkers frequented them for coffee.

This is a glorified Starbucks with industrial pastries and microwaved eggs. Decent coffee.

I have definitely had better deli sandwiches and coffee that were less expensive. This particular morning I was looking for a coffee place that also had breakfast food and this was the highest rated that I had not tried so far. I am not sure exactly what made this place so good in other peoples eyes but it was overpriced sandwiches and coffee that really was just mediocre. I got the salami and provolone sandwich, the salami was seriously just store bought salami and the bread that was supposed to be sourdough tasted like white bread. The coffee which was supposed to be a grande latte tasted burnt and the coffee that you could taste was not enjoyable. I really wouldn’t go there again even if I was in a rush and this was the only option, it’s just not worth the price. I walked there so I wouldn’t be able to comment on how the parking was but there seemed to be sufficient space on the street that was not metered. The staff was nice and courteous but unfortunately that did not improve the quality of the food. The store is inside the Wells Fargo building and there are a bunch of workers from the building constantly coming down there, I hope that they only go there because they really have no other option.

Nice cozy coffee shop situated in a high rise building but it’s on the bottom floor. Their menu is a little saturated and confusing but the staff is nice enough to help you with it. They have an excellent array of pastries and bagels and a wonderful assortment of teas. It’s very affordable and a step away from the conglomerate coffee houses with a true taste of home.

I stop in this nice shop a few times a week. Pretty much everything on the menu is delicious, but my favorite by far is the Sicilian breakfast bagel; it is UH-​Mazing! I also like their Chai and, of course, the coffee is quality and not expensive like Starbucks. The baristas are friendly and I’m a fan overall.

I was looking for a new place to have lunch on the Mall and came across this place as I was meandering down 16^th.
It is a quaint coffee/​deli shop. I was in the mood for lunch so after a quick peruse of their menu which is quite extensive for a small coffee shop. I decided on a Super Turkey Club on wheat toast. Short wait and I was on my way.
I was nicely surprised that the bacon was super crispy, not too much mayo. Not overloaded with turkey, just enough. I’m feeling like Goldie Locks right now, just right…
This is a solid place for lunch or a quick stop for a drink or munch. Prices are on point for the area.

Why have I never heard of a tea latte before? Maybe Tuscany isn’t the only place who has thought of this wonderful drink, but they are the first to introduce me to this – my new favorite drink – great alternative to chai for those of us who don’t like coffee caffeine.
So, it’s just tea steeped in a minimal amount of water, topped with steamed milk. They carry republic of tea flavors and my favorite so far has been the ginger peach tea latte. Do yourself a favor and sooth your stomach with this gentle, soothing drink.
Other than my new favorite drink, I’ve had their chai, which is good but nothing special. Also tried their bagel with cream cheese, good. All in all, the employees are sweet and not pretentious. If you go in often, you can load up a gift card for easy swiping.

I like Tuscany’s.
They seem to have a good (and large) array of coffee and teas (both hot and iced), and a good menu of half/​whole breakfast/​lunch sandwiches ranging anywhere from $ 3-​$ 8.
Drinks are not ridiculously priced– their regular coffee is tasty to me (tall: $ 1.50), and they serve pastries/​bagels, AND Chobani Greek Yogurt– such a healthy option!
My first time there, I got their iced carmel latte (think Starbucks carmel macchiato) and though it was delish, I think I should have just opted for the latte (the carmel was too sweet for me).
As for service (and life), it’s like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get. Sometimes, you get the girl who just wants to give you your coffee and change back. Other times, you get the dude who compliments your Hello Kitty credit card and recommends you get the hot instead of iced drink.
Just a good, honest, quiet-​morning type of coffee shop, but not much for anything else (like talks, meet up’s, or studying). Imagine it to be a small joint for you to read the morning newspaper in solitude (with coffee in hand, of course).

Looking for cool little coffee place that is not a major cooperation, Tuscany Coffee & Deli is your place. Great coffee, sandwiches and bagels this place is definitely worth a visit.

Tuscany has the best creamy expresso hands down! They have great breakfast sandwiches that you can get all day. But my favorite is the apricot almond scone!

There is nothing fancy about Tuscany, the food is simple and fresh. I suggest you try their 100% fruit smoothies. There is no sugar and no milk. Just fresh fruit and ice blended to perfection. The sandwiches are simple and tasty and the staff is efficient and friendly. I am not big on all the fast food chains and deli’s the downtown area has to offer and enjoy the simplicity of this cozy little deli.

Need a good cup of coffee on-​the-​go while running errands downtown? Staying in a nearby hotel and looking for more than the generic stuff provided for your in-​room coffee pot? Tuscany is just the ticket.
I first stopped while visiting Denver. The name and logo of this place were identical to a coffee shop near my job in Philadelphia. Turns out there may be a connection, as the Denver owner was aiming to franchise a while back. The beans aren’t the same in the two cities, but both locations aim to make a quality caffeinated beverage.
There are snacks and pastries if you need a bite to eat with your brew (they are fine), but the focus here is the coffee and espresso. It’s convenient and far better than the multi-​national chain coffees in the vicinity.

I’ve had better breakfast sandwiches at Mickey D’s (which I haven’t been to in years) at ONE FORTH the cost.
I had a bacon/​egg/​tomato sand which. Everything was pre-​cooked and microwaved. The food wasn’t «bad» but was cafeteria-​grade. Reminded me of the «free breakfasts» I got in elementary school when the family was having hard times financially.

I see this place 2 – 3 mornings a week while I’m standing across the street waiting for the lightrail to take me to campus. Time and again, I’ve debated running in to see what’s up but then oh hey here’s my train… decision delayed for one more day…
Last week I finally decided to check it out, figuring if I went inside and they had absolutely nothing then I would be polite and at least get a cup of coffee. Much to my surprise, they had a variety of choices for breakfast and lunch, which could be enjoyed by vegans, vegetarians, and meat-​eaters alike. For breakfast I chose the scrambled egg sandwich on an English muffin (but could have done bagel or bread for same price) for $ 2.59. Cheddar cheese is available for $ 0.40 more, and $ 0.50 more for bacon, ham, sausage or salami. The sandwich was freshly made, and while probably cheaper to prepare at home, at least the cost of convenience evens out because the ingredients were good quality.
They have several types of bagels to choose from, with toppings such as standard cream cheese, peanut butter/​jelly, red pepper humus, and one can even get tomatoes and cucumbers as well. Oatmeal and yogurt are offered, as well as locally baked pastries from Blue Point (which I thought $ 2.50 was kind of pricey for one slice of banana bread, but hey it’s local so… whatever?).
Their lunch menu is extensive with daily soups, different vegetarian sandwiches, salads, and meat-​a-​saur sandwiches. The prices seem in sync with what you’d pay for a deli sandwich anywhere else downtown. Plus, they have coffee and espresso drinks, which also appear to be in line (price-​wise and selection-​wise) with a certain other coffee shop… green motif and Siren mascot… ya’all know which one I mean ;) In addition to coffee, they have real-​fruit smoothies (no added sugar or dairy).
Of course, I took a menu as a cheat-​sheet for my review… but it was all done in the name of Unilocal.Now that I know what’s inside, I’m sure I’ll be back in to grab a bite to-​go. And in case any of you were wondering… well, now YOU know!

Great place to grab a breakfast sandwich or fresh deli sando. I had a bacon, egg and cheese on an English Muffin and I have got to say that it was the pretty darn good. I mean it was lighter than most other ones I’ve tried. The bacon was grease free, the egg was moist and the cheddar was just delicious. Perfect combo.
