Oh my gosh! By far one of the best restaurants we have ever tried. All the food was fresh and flavorful and made eating healthy taste really good. We ordered the Mediterranean salad, spaghetti squash casserole and the turkey burger and everything was simply amazing. This place alone is worth coming back to Denver for! You will not be disappointed!

I freaking love this place!!! The ambiance, the people, the farm to table food, the open kitchen concept, the feels! Everything on the menu is utterly fresh and on point. I hope it has been for others too– I’ve been here twice and at random hours. They change up their menu pertaining to what’s in season. I just can’t…it was so good. The veg platter, the fish, the pizza, the salad, the chicken… all so satisfying. Look at my pics. Who would resist that? True-ly devoted to you!

AMAZING!!! I have seen True Food Kitchens so many places but always passed them by for a reason I have no idea about. I guess they are just usually in malls when I’ve seen them, and I just had no idea what it was. BUT this is SUCH a special place!!! A menu based on Dr. Weil’s recommendations for an anti-inflammatory diet? The whole restaurant in this Cherry Street Shopping Center(which is an outdoor mall) is beautiful with earthy wood and lettuce green hues, and the menu is detailed, delicious, and inviting. So many gorgeous selections for libations(both alcoholic + fruit and non), salads, curries, burgers, sandwiches, etc. My friend had the coconut Thai curry and it was SO good and I had the Spring salad which really was just vegetables with some shaved cheese on top but it was SO light and fresh and savory. Incredible. I would eat here every day if we had one in Oklahoma City or really just once a week because it was a really nice date place. Not a casual café, but a classy and organic experience.

As you enter true food kitchen, you’re greeted by an invigorating burst of green, wood, and succulents everywhere. The décor alone gives this place a lively, healthy vibe, in a very trendy way. Coming from NYC I’d never encountered a true food kitchen before but after one visit, I’ve left as a fan! I’m a self identified carnivore, so going to a primarily vegetarian/vegan/gluten free restaurant isn’t usually my thing. This place however is absolutely awesome. The menu is stunning and the drinks and delightfully refreshing. I was absolutely blow away by the inside out quinoa burger… think of a falafel sandwich on steroids, but made healthy. The«bun» is made of quinoa that’s extremely soft, and in the middle you have perfectly cooked falafel, with some of the best tzatziki I’ve had. Couple that with some humus on the bottom patty, and some fresh green, and you have a winner. After eating this burger a traditional falafel will never be the same! I can’t wait to come back!

A lovely experience. Lots of attentive servers and helpers scurried to and from my table, each of them kind and friendly. I loved the atmosphere, full of light and happiness. Delicious lentil soup and sea bass. Some of the dishes seemed«almost there» in terms of flavor but most are solid hits. The juices are where this place truly stands out. Fresh and alive with perfectly matched ingredients. I kept ordering more. The outdoor seating is fun. I’ll eat here again.

This will be my last time eating here. The hostess was a disingenuous, robotic snob who informed us that she had sent a text that our table was ready in lieu of walking the 8 feet to us, which lead to our table being given away. The food was ok; I had to send my burger back because it was so over cooked that it resembled coal. I was given another and it was fine. Meaning edible. Flavor was fine, presentation was fine, it was adequate. The only shiny part of the meal was our server; she was very gracious and understanding, was present enough to manage my needs, and efficient. I thought she was just tops. I get that I am not the target audience of this North Cherry Creek locale; I don’t wear designer sweats nor do I drive a gas guzzling SUV so I can’t imagine that this review holds much weight for those who fit the North Cherry Creek demographic.

I like eating junk food. There, I said it and I admit it. I also love eating out because usually there is delicious food that I don’t have to cook AND I don’t have to clean up afterward. TFK gives me the opportunity to eat delicious and healthful food. Order whatever you want. It’s all good. On my last visit, I enjoyed the panang curry with chicken, which was unexpected for me.(I usually shy away from ordering asian food at a non-Asian eatery). It was spicier than I expected with so much flavor, rich with coconut flavor, and just what I wanted on an unexpected cold/windy summer(yes SUMMER) day. Typically, dessert is not the first thing on my mind. I prefer savory. But when I come here, it’s almost all I can think about. The banana coconut chia seed pudding is fantastic. Not too sweet at all, creamy, and with huge flakes of toasted coconut. It doesn’t sound or look that impressive, but once you taste it, you’ll see why I’m so enamored.

My friend and I decided to stop by on this rainy and dreary Saturday afternoon for some nourishing food. Based on my previous experience at True Food, I thought it would be a perfect choice for us since we’re both very health conscious and love lots of fresh vibrant colors on our plate. We came in just after they changed over to the lunch menu which was alright with us because there’s plenty of options to choose from. We quickly sat down on the high top community table to avoid the wait. The restaurant is just what I remembered — bright colors, nature-themed décor(Aspen trees for wall décor is pretty genius) with emphasis on farm fresh ingredients! After perusing the menu a few times, we finally placed our orders for shiitake tofu lettuce cups, spring bruschetta and seared albacore tuna salad. It’s a welcoming sight to watch the busy staff chopping away fresh veggies and whipping up something tasty in the open display kitchen. Unfortunately, it was a rather long wait for us — close to one hour to be exact! We saw three groups of people who sat down before and around the same time as us all finished their food, and we still didn’t get ours! I understand that it’s a busy Mother’s Day weekend, but I honestly think our waiter(Garrett) forgot our orders. After what seemed to be forever, our food finally arrived! I was not happy with the spring bruschetta — it’s only one piece of toasted bread with spring vegetable and cheese on top! It’s definitely worth the $ 10! I’ve had my fair share of farm-to-table dining and I get that it’s not the quantity but the quality of the ingredients but this is simply unacceptable! All the other starters were decent size from what I’ve seen. The food was delicious and fresh as usual but it’s about the whole dining experience. The long wait and the unacceptable portion size kind of ruined our experience this time around! We left with a sour taste in our mouth. I’m very upset about this unpleasant experience especially because I really liked the food and raved to my friends about it.

Ordered takeout of the winter ingredient salad with chicken. I was told on the phone they were out of butternut squash and that they would subsidize with more other vegetables but there seemed to be no extra. My biggest complaint was that for an extra $ 5.50 for chicken I was given four very small pieces of what tastes of 2 day old chicken kept in the refrigerator. For over $ 20 I could have walked down to whole foods for much better chicken and salad. Disappointed in this choice. 2 stars because the hostess was friendly.

I totally loved my Honey Ginger Beer(Non-Alcoholic) beverage here. Now that I am pregnant, I sometimes like to sip on something other than water and I really don’t like sodas. It’s places like True Food Kitchen that give pregnant ladies a reason to cheer! I opted for the grass-fed bison burger without the bun with the sweet potato hash on the side. The burger was delicious. Perhaps a little too done, but the server didn’t ask and it was probably better for me anyway. If I were to order again, however, I would specify. It comes with avocado and onions and cheese and is super tasty. The hash was not very good. It was pretty al dente. I’m hoping this was just an oversight and is typically not the case. Next time I may do the kale salad instead, however. I would like to return. It is very busy which I think is a good sign of how people want healthier options! I hope restaurants continue to trend in this direction.

Grapefruit and cinnamon does not mix well. I don’t know why this is the first drink on their menu. We ordered two Asian inspired dishes and both were not very appetizing: the vegetables were not tender and had lots of fiber. Service was great, even at the communal tables. The best dish we had here was the roasted vege board. That was a great dish and deserves 5 stars.

I wish I was cool enough to put together one of those awesome Unilocal Haikus the cool kids do. But alas… True Food has got to be one of my favorite restaurants… ever. I discovered it in PHX(Biltmore) and ended up dragging clients, friends, and running half way across town for their curry. I’m not a usual chain restaurant type — but was thrilled when I saw True Food in Denver. The atmosphere is similar and the menu seasonal but filled with my trusted favorites. It was lunch time on a Tuesday and the place was packed — so we found seats at the community high top. We were quickly and warmly greeted by our waitress who provided a quick run down of the menu and popular items. It has been two years since I’ve been to TF and I was so excited! Their Panang curry is seriously one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s got a shellfish broth base and loaded with veggies and, in my case, tofu. It was as perfect as I remember — creamy and spicy. My friend opted for the turkey lasagna and finished it off; it was loaded with cheese and fresh spinach pasta. I would recommend any one give TF a chance. It may seem like an overwhelmingly veggie/fresh place but they have something for everyone and have perfectly executed everything I have tried.(Come to Austin!)

Booking a table was über easy. A good friend of mine informed me, «before you leave Denver, you must try True Food Kitchen.» SO! I booked it as my farewell dinner and it was amazing! So I had some dental work a few days earlier so I was a bit touchy about what I ate. It had to be soft and easy to devour. Therefore I went with the House Made Turkey Lasagna with Spinach, Ricotta & Organic Tomato, OMgoodness. This petite dish was full of flavor and came out in a small personalized 5 inch dish. I pair this meal with two glasses of the South African Agter-Paarl Chenin Blanc, M.A.N. family wine(whew! mouthful of a wine) and finished it off with a flourless chocolate cake! The cake was a bit dry and crumbly so I would skip this dish however everything else was amazing and nicely portioned. Wait time on average for a meal on Saturday is about 25 – 30 minutes so do start with a wine or one of their awesome organic juices. I try some of my husband’s kale aid and it was delicious and fresh. Do check them out. Happy Unilocaling!

My friend had her going away dinner here, and it was super tasty! The décor was neat and lent a great vibe to the restaurant. I was considering the Restaurant Week menu but was interested in trying a broader range of things. Our server, Lorraine, was amazing! She was super friendly, always available, prompt, and very knowledgeable about the menu. It was one of the best service experiences I’ve had in Denver! After combing the reviews, I ordered the caramelized onion tart and the winter ingredients salad. The tart was so flavorful with a great mix of garlicky bursts, sweet figs, and rich, caramelized onion. The winter ingredients salad was also super delicious. I loved all the roasted vegetables and the spicy horseradish dressing. I think it would have been slightly better warm. The white beans didn’t add much. I think I would have preferred maybe lima beans or black beans. The mulberries and pomegranate seeds were a fun touch, but I found their textures to be a bit grainy at times. I had a great experience and look forward to coming back some time!

HIGHLYIMPRESSED — 5STARS Stopped in for lunch today and I love this place and love that it is so close to me! I had the soup du jour which was a non-dairy gluten free chicken tortilla. It was pretty tasty but what really won me over was the fantastic winter ingredient salad– LOVE! It’s a non-greens salad and was simply roasted vegetables, mulberries, pomegranate, beans, and a light horseradish vinaigrette made from grape seed oil, horseradish and white wine vinegar. I love that the food here is simple, delicious, and paleo friendly. For a beverage I had the sparkling vanilla lemon grass tea, what a tasty non-alcoholic drink. Can’t wait to enjoy many more meals here!

True Food, you are worth the hype. My first visit was years ago when a girlfriend suggested we try the new restaurant. As someone who eats healthy, I still found the menu a bit foreign. Another try(a month later) had me really satisfied with my food selections, but still not entirely sold on the restaurant and its concept. Flash forward a few years and it’s one of my favorites. When a friend comes to town, I tend to stop here. As others have noted, parking is a pain in Cherry Creek if you’re going at a busy time. There is valet parking available, though, so take them up on it! You can also count on quite a wait time(testament to the quality of service and food you’ll receive), but I’ve never had a problem with only a party of 2 or 3. There is open seating at the bar or at the communal tables: anywhere with a green stool(and they’re comfy too – with a footrest!). My personal favorite is the Panang curry bowl with shrimp and quinoa. My sister enjoyed the beef teriyaki bowl. Mom loves the street tacos. I’ve had the onion tart and a bowl of veggies for appetizers. Beautiful, and delicious. As for a refreshing starter, go with the(tart) kale-aid or a sweeter chia seed limeade. I was sold on dessert for my last visit and we tried the almond cake along with the apple crisp. Both were winners. Light, sweet, and a fabulous combo with the ice cream served alongside. The servers are friendly, food is savory and well presented, and I know where it comes from! Can’t rave enough about this place!

I’ve been to True Food several times before, so when my vegetarian sister and her fiancé came into town, taking them here was a no-brainer. The restaurant itself is very cute with live plants on each table and an open kitchen where you can see all the cooking, and flipping, and sizzling goodness happening. I’ve gone in without a reservation every time and we’re always seated right away. The menu is all organic and local, and has a ton of vegetarian options. The Pangang Curry and Margarita Pizza are both divine, and although the Street Tacos weren’t the best, they were still decent. But my favorite thing on the menu isn’t always on the menu… the Hot and Natural! This gingery drink is amazing every day, but if you have a cold it is seriously the most wonderful of soothing beverages. Not sure if they tend to only serve it at lunch or what, but I’ve never had any issues ordering it at dinner time.

Great option for fresh and flavorful food in Cherry Creek! Even on Monday night, we had about a ten minute wait. I sipped on some mint and banana infused water(yes, you read that right) while we hung out. I love the open kitchen and spacious feel of this place. Plus, the waiters wear yoga pants and white polos. It’s all very unique. We started with some nonalcoholic drinks, a honey ginger beer for me and some matcha green tea lattes for others. They both hit the spot. I could’ve drank a liter of that ginger beer but at $ 5.50 a pop, that could add up. To start, I’d definitely recommend the edamame dumplings. It comes with four to an order so plan accordingly. From there, I got the panang curry with shrimp. It had a slight spicy kick to it and was great. Portions are generous as I was starving and could still barely finish it. Others at my table tried the Moroccan chicken, red chili shrimp and harvest salad. It’s safe to say you can find something here to suit any mood. I couldn’t go without dessert and we all shared the spiced apple and goji berry crumble. Served warm with a scoop of ice cream on top, this was perfect and the ideal sweet ending to our meal. It seemed to take awhile to get our entrees and no one really cared to tell us why. Besides that, our waiter was sweet and we all left satisfied. I’d definitely return!
