I moved back east 6 months ago and have yet to find a kickboxing gym that even holds a candle to Tran’s. If you want to sweat and change your body, this place is it. You will never feel better after consistently(that’s the key) working out with Tran and his staff. If I ever get back to Denver, the first thing I would do for myself is join again.

I don’t know another place in Denver that you can run, spin, lift weights and look amazing all in 1 hour! All the classes are amazing and be careful it becomes addicting!!!

So, I’m a huge Body Pump fan and was out looking for a class near my house. Even though the prices here were high — $ 17 per class or $ 20 per drop-in — I figured it was worth it to have something nearby. The place itself is odd. It’s set-up like a boxing gym/martial arts studio. There’s a boxing ring in the main room and then there appears to be a spin room in the back. Pros: The owner seems to know quite a few of the regulars, and the equipment itself seems fairly new. The classes are small. The instructors are nice enough and seem friendly with the regulars too. Everyone seems to be in good shape all around, and there were mainly women. Cons: Wow, this is definitely not Body Pump as endorsed by Les Mills. In fact, I’d be surprised if the instructors are even trained in actual Body Pump or fitness all together. Body Pump is low rep weight lifting, one song per targetted area. This is not that at all. It’s weight lifting, flat out. The instructor suggest higher weights then you really should in Body Pump for safety reasons, and doesn’t emphasize stretching or cool down — or really even proper weight lifting(i.e., bending knees during clean and press, safely picking up weights, stretching between sets, etc.) The class seems into the moves, though they’re all lifting probably triple what anyone would recommend in a normal class. There is no rhyme or reason to the moves or the areas worked, so you may end up doing 3 squat tracks and then jumping straight into a back track. Also, the owner seems totally unconcerned with wanderng around throughout the class, cleaning things, and even playing in his boxing ring loudly while you’re focused. They will try their best to get you to sign up for a punch card of more classes right away, but I highly recommend trying it out — if you must — first. Or, better yet, just join a real gym for these classes with properly trained fitness instructors.

Trans is the best workout in town. The people that workout there are super fit because it works. There’s good variety of classes. True kickboxing, cardio kickboxing, indoor bootcamp classes, circuit training, martial arts(kids and adults) and more. I like the R3 which is a rotation of treadmill, weights, and spin bicycle. I also enjoy the kickboxing as it works your core like no other. I’ve seen pregnant women attend and back in shape within weeks. Hai is amazing. He keeps you motivated and is excellent at what he does. I recently tried his cleanse and lost 10# in one month. Great way to eat healthier.

My girlfriend has been going to workout classes at Trans multiple times a week for the past couple years. She raves about the place. I had to see what all the fuss was about so I joined her for the circuit class. Ouch, Trans kicked my ass. The forty minute class left me feeling like I had worked out for two hours. This class is not for the weak. Be prepared to pour sweat and have shaky arms/legs. You will push yourself mentally and break barriers. If you’re looking to be challenged this is the place for you. Trans offers a great alternative for people who are bored with the typical workout. Each station was a unique workout I had never done. I will highly recommend Trans to all my health conscious friends. Plus, Tufu the resident Pug is the cherry on top. Thanks Tran, I’ll be back when I recover!

I just finished my first workout at Tran’s and was very impressed. The Circuit10 is a high intensity workout that targeted seemingly every muscle in my body. It is high-energy and fast-paced, but Hai takes the time to show you good form and motivate you to push yourself to your limits. This place is the cure for the common gym – free of the see-and-be-seen crowd. Instead, it’s filled with real people who came to work hard and push themselves to perform. The class is perfect for people of varying fitness levels, as each station gives you the opportunity to take breaks or modify as needed. But with the energy of everybody working hard around you and the great music selections, you’ll find yourself eager to see just how far you can push. I’ll definitely be going back. The whole atmosphere is awesome and the hour flies by – at the end I was both exhausted and energized. Probably the most difficult part of the workout is resisting the breakfast burritos next door as you leave… but that’s for a different review.

Tran’s Fitness truly offers an amazing workout(and it shows when you look at their members and instructors)! All of their classes will push you to the extreme while offering variety to get you in shape. The instructors are knowledgeable, motivational and REAL — they don’t just go through the routine and babble off sayings, they communicate with the members, interact with the entire class and know what they’re talking about. They offer a variety of classes so you never feel too crowded or get bored with the workout. With that — this gym/studio is for people that really want to get in shape — These classes are challenging and you definitely get what you pay for!

Such a great place to work out at! I love the classes and the staff. Kathleen really kicks your butt on Monday nights, and Hai & Carrie are always friendly and encouraging through every workout. In particular, I enjoy their KO Cardio on Mondays(Kathleen) and Wednesdays(Hai) at 5:30 pm and the Circuit on Thursdays. The new R3 classes are awesome as well. As for price, basically you are paying for a higher end gym membership, however its not outlandish like some other places in Denver. Essentially, you are paying for classes, and if you get the monthly membership, it really will end up saving you money. Results: I have lost inches off my waist and am seeing muscles that I have not seen since my college athlete days. I am telling you, GOGOGO!!!

I have been athletic all of my life, but at age 32, I’m in the best shape of my life thanks to Tran’s! Some of the fittest people in Denver in this gym! Intensity is high across all of the workout classes, but you never feel pressured to exert yourself too far beyond your limits — all the while encouraged to push yourself to be your best. Hai Tran is always looking for ways to progress and keep the classes relevant — Hai Tread and Hai Circuit classes offer a «bootcamp style» mix of cardio and weights. All of the instrctors are top-notch, and offer personal training as well. Tran’s offers the best hour of workout you can spend!

I tell people that I’m active not athletic. After a class at Tran’s I feel so athletic! Their workouts are full of variety, fun, and energy. The instructors are personable, professional, and knowledgable giving you options so that you get the most out of your workouts, at whatever level you are at. Some workouts are very engaging where you interact with the other students and instructors, such as HaiTread and the Bootcamp. «Fitness should always be changing» quoted by Hai Tran. Not only will you get a great workout, you’ll also learn some martial arts. I look forward to every workout because of the burst of energy I have afterwards.

The highest energy, work your tail off, convenient and fun classes in Denver. While they encourage you to go «at your comfortable pace» you will find yourself motivated to push your boundaries to keep up with their star students. I have workout-A.D.D and their HaiTread class is designed to keep your body and brain challenged. HaiTread is a class that integrates treadmills alternating with weight training. I love it… when you leave you know you just had a serious 1 hour workout! Also check out their body pump classes, kickboxing, and little kids classes! Super friendly staff! I-25 and Colorado next to Noodles and Company Also have classes in the Highlands!
