Tousled Hair Studio

I scheduled a hair and makeup appointment for my mom and I, we’re from Los Angeles and we were going to my cousins wedding. My mom was the godmother at the Catholic ceremony, which is a huge deal. I gave this place 1 star because our hair turned out fine. The makeup however was upsetting. They stated with my mom, the makeup from the eyes down was decent but her eyes looked horrendous. The false lashes were attached noticeably above her natural lashes, she looked like she had double lashes. We moved on to my makeup. I showed her a picture of what I was aiming for. It turned out so horrible I was livid. My eyeliner was about a half inch thick, she didn’t put mascara on, she didn’t define my brows, she didn’t put blush on, and she didn’t even put lipstick on. My eyeshadow was light brown… They didn’t define my brow bone or add any highlights, just one shade of brown and it sprinkled to my cheekbones. She stopped to fix my moms lashes and they placed them wrong again, they were off center. We were starting to get upset and we were very late. She said «I’m not incompetent, I just have never applied eyelashes» I was trying to fix my horrendously applied eye makeup, I had to stop to help the lady with the lashes and my moms poor application of eyeliner (she did it to her too). At that point we had an hour to get to our hotel and get dressed and get to the ceremony so we had to leave. She had the AUDACITY to charge us for her work. My mom and I were livid we got to our hotel room and I re did my moms makeup as best I could and I did my makeup the usual way, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. I wanted to look different than usual. We are livid. It was a nightmare. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE GET YOUR MAKEUP DONE HERE. Tousled should be ashamed of doing this to people. They had the audacity to say «we’re all adults here, there’s no need to cry» we were not crying we were trying to fix the disaster. They should be ashamed to do this to people

I have been going to Kris for the past several years and love what she dose w/​my hair! My color/​highlites are always perfect. YaY!

Tousled Hair is a comfortable and great atmosphere to get your done in. All the women in there including the Owner are so friendly and really know what they are doing. I have been going to Rachel for many years. I have many hair colors and styles and Rachel is always on target with the cut and color. I have recommended Rachel to many family and friends.

Love this place. Everyone is super nice along with their little mascot of a dog. Danelle gets the job done right every time. It’s always hard to find someone that does a great job each and every time.

I called Tousled Hair Salon one morning when I woke up hating my short curly hair. Derinna (sp.?) was a great stylist and colorist! She knew how to deal with my curly hair and covered my roots beautifully! The salon is comfortable and the other stylists interesting to watch and chat with as well. I felt comfortable and the price was excellent for such top quality service!

It’s sometimes hard for a guy to find a good place to get his hair cut that’s not a hack job (think barber shop) or a salon that only caters to women (where men’s haircuts are a foreign operation).
Touseled Hair is great, they use good product and take their time to make sure it’s right, and they seem to have a good number of male clients, so can cut my hair right. They’re nice and easy to talk with and it’s a good deal for a good cut. I’ve been going here over a year now, and have no complaints at all.
